That's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, a federal judge in California barred the Trump administration from denying or conditioning the use of federal funds to sanction. cities and states. The judge said that this preliminary injunction was necessary because the executive orders were unconstitutional. This was led by San Francisco and about a dozen other municipalities they sued over a pair of executive orders that the president issued targeting local municipalities that limit cooperation with federal immigration efforts. This judge, based in San Francisco, wrote that the defendants are restrained and enjoined
Starting point is 00:01:24 from directly or indirectly taking any action to withhold freeze or condition. federal funds. Another judge, this one in D.C., in 120-page decision, blocked the Trump administration from requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote and ordering that election officials assess the citizenship of anyone who receives public assistance before allowing them to register. She also barred the Election Assistance Commission from withholding federal funds from states that did not comply with the order. Another federal judge banned the enforcement of Trump's executive order banning transgender people from serving in the military.
Starting point is 00:02:03 The Pentagon also has resumed gender-affirming care for transgender service members. Do you know how many transgender service members do you think there are in the military right now? It's believed over 4,000. The headline to this story says man who killed two teens in DUI crashed to be released from prison early. The backstory is he drove 100 miles per hour and killed these two Americans. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and being released at three and a half years. But what that headline doesn't tell you is the man is a twice previously deported Mexican illegal alien with multiple felony convictions in California prior to killing these two American teenagers. The Trump administration has told California that you better turn this guy over to ICE immediately when you release him from prison in California.
Starting point is 00:02:53 The first pick in the NFL draft yesterday went to the Tennessee Titans selecting quarterback Cam Ward for Miami. He was fourth in the Heisman voting last year. Cam Ward wrote on Twitter after being selected, forever humble, because I know what it's like to be at the bottom. The second pick went to the Jacksonville Jaguars with Travis Hunter from Colorado and the third pick, New York Giants, Abdul Carter from Penn State. I'm Mike Slater. On this Friday, as Donald Trump approaches 100 days in office, it is becoming clear as to how he is running the country the second time around. The president has hired two different types of people to advance his agenda, disruptors and facilitators. The D group is headed by Alon Musk, RFK,
Starting point is 00:04:22 The E-Crew composition includes Pam Bondi, Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant. Now, why should you care? Well, Mr. Trump's policies directly affect all of our well-being. That's why? The disruption strategy is a full frontal assault on the establishment.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Elon Musk has exposed government spending as largely out of control in wasteful. control and wasteful. His flamboyance in doing that has made him powerful enemies. Mr. Musk will soon pivot back to the private sector. Secretary Hague says simply cannot succeed in the Pentagon. Far too many enemies because most folks working there are career ifs. They don't want change. General Patton would have trouble corraling this bunch. Few Americans know Treasury Secretary Scott percent, but he is emerging as a power. Here's something strange percent made a fortune working for the dreaded George Soros decades ago. Apparently, Old Scott has a different take these days.
Starting point is 00:05:34 President Trump is a shrewd chief executive, but he's loaded up his roster with loyalists, some of whom are short-timers. I'm Bill O'Reilly. Your work, Bill, remains a refinement. refreshing counterpoint delivering the clarity the public deserves. Thank you, Michelle. I was very
Starting point is 00:06:21 nice and very well thought out. Obviously, we are aggressively trying to combat the deterioration of the corporate media. And we are the most successful independent media in the world. Remember, I got scolded by the president of Malaysia this week, so we get a lot of looks. Donna, too bad that's such a respected and formative entertainment program like 60 minutes sold out to leftist bidders. I used to love that show, but quit watching years ago because of the hardship to the left. It's a culture at CBS. That's what happened. A culture overwhelmed the program. Charles, concierge member. Charles has a problem. We will help charge. You can become a concierge member on bill o'Reilly.com. It's easy. Democrats hate Elon Moss because he's reducing government spending. As you point out, O'Reilly,
Starting point is 00:07:16 Democrats do not favor any reduction of government spending because they use the programs to buy votes. That is a 100% accurate, Charles. They don't want any. Sarah Scherer, North Carolina, just want to thank you, Bill, for your trustworthy reporting. No Smith News keeps me informed, calm. Looking forward to the new feature tip of the day. I'm picky about my coffee mugs, and I love the not woke mugs. The handle is perfect. Finally, your suits are quite dapper these days. Well, dapper is a good thing, Sarah, and I'm glad you're watching. In a moment, something you might not know. You set the table, put on a playlist, even made the lasagna from scratch, and now you're

It's not clean unless it's oxyclean. Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might, not know. 127 years ago today, the Kingdom of Spain declared war on the United States of America. Not smart. The royal decree began one of the most pointless conflicts in human history. Here is the story behind the Spanish-American War. The affair began with Cuba's struggle for independent.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Spain's repressive measures to halt that rebellion were widely publicized in American newspapers. To protect U.S. citizens living in Cuba, Washington, D.C. deployed three battleships to the area. In February 1898, a massive explosion sank the USS Maine in Havana Harbor. 266 Americans were killed. A naval court rule, the ship was accidentally blown up by an underwater mine. But most blamed the Spaniards. for the disaster. Much of Congress and a majority of the American public demanded retribution. On April 20th, 1898, President William McKinley signed a joint congressional resolution
Starting point is 00:09:29 authorizing the use of military force to help Cuba gain independence from Spain. Madrid severed diplomatic relations with the USA immediately, and then both sides declared war. The 10-week conflict was fought, both in the Caribbean and in the Pacific. Spain was completely dominated by the U.S. Navy. In total, Madrid lost 10,000 troops compared to just 900 Americans KIA. The Treaty of Paris ended the war on December 10, 1898. In its Spain, renounced all claims to Cuba, seated Guam and Puerto Rico to the United States,
Starting point is 00:10:12 transferred sovereignty over the Philippines, to the USA for $20 million. And here's something else you might not know. During the Spanish-American War, the United States military was running low on regular troops. To supplement the forces, the Army raised a kind of rag-tag group of volunteers. The group earned the name the Rough Riders. They were led into battle by a 40-year-old adventurer from Manhattan. Teddy Rosel
