Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
Here's what's happening this week in America.
The lawfare continues, released early, and first pick of the draft.
That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, a federal judge in California barred the Trump administration
from denying or conditioning the use of federal funds to sanctuary.
cities and states.
The judge said that this preliminary injunction was necessary because the executive orders
were unconstitutional.
This was led by San Francisco and about a dozen other municipalities they sued over a pair
of executive orders that the president issued targeting local municipalities that
limit cooperation with federal immigration efforts.
This judge, based in San Francisco, wrote that the defendants are restrained and enjoined
from directly or indirectly taking any action to withhold freeze or condition.
federal funds.
Another judge, this one in D.C., in a 120-page decision, blocked the Trump administration from
requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote and ordering that election officials
assess the citizenship of anyone who receives public assistance before allowing them to register.
She also barred the Election Assistance Commission from withholding federal funds from
states that did not comply with the order.
Another federal judge banned the enforcement of Trump's executive order banning transgender people from serving in the military.
The Pentagon also has resumed gender-affirming care for transgender service members.
Do you know how many transgender service members do you think there are in the military right now?
It's believed over 4,000.
The headline to this story says man who killed two teens in DUI crashed to be released from prison early.
The backstory is he drove 100 miles per hour and killed these two Americans.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and being released at three and a half years.
But what that headline doesn't tell you is the man is a twice previously deported Mexican illegal alien with multiple felony convictions in California prior to killing these two American teenagers.
The Trump administration has told California that you better turn this guy over to ICE immediately when you release him from prison in California.
The first pick in the NFL draft yesterday went to the Tennessee Titans
selecting quarterback Cam Ward for Miami.
He was fourth in the Heisman voting last year.
Cam Ward wrote on Twitter after being selected,
Forever Humble, because I know what it's like to be at the bottom.
The second pick went to the Jacksonville Jaguars with Travis Hunter from Colorado
and the third pick New York Giants Abdul Carter from Penn State.
I'm Mike Slater.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
There is just never a down day with Donald Trump in the White House.
It's like New Orleans during Mardi Gras, hyperactivity all over the place.
Let's run down some post-easter important stuff.
Stock market continues to wobble, and almost 60% of Americans,
now say they are delaying major purchases.
That has a recession feel.
So this tariff business better start getting resolved.
If trade deals happen soon, the markets will rocket,
and the president will have more power to force agreements in Ukraine and Iran.
Also, his domestic agenda in Congress will have more clout.
But if the stock market and the economy,
recede, Donald Trump will lose a tremendous amount of power.
Now, the small ball stuff like the guy in El Salvador should stop.
Bring them back.
Have the Justice Department present evidence to the immigration judge who's already assigned
to his case.
Due process is a good thing.
Embarrassing the corrupt media is also good.
If this guy is MS-13, the press will.
take a huge hit. Finally, this week, we should all honor the humanity of Pope Francis, put migrant
policies aside, and applaud his compassion. Yet another good thing. I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at
Bill O'Reilly.com, name in town, if you wish to opine.
Okay, to the mail, we got Ron Leota, who's a premium member in Jacksonville, Florida.
Bill, do you agree that anyone who enters the USA illegally is committing a federal crime?
I hear a lot of mainstream news outlets say it's a civil crime, and they shouldn't be arrested and removed.
It is a civil crime.
But there are courts like traffic court, okay, like tax court.
but it is not a criminal offense to cross into this country illegally or oversee your visa.
It should be.
In the new immigration law, make it a criminal offense.
Make everything a lot easier.
Susan Bartle of Eurobeach, Florida, would you please address why all Democrats keep saying illegal aliens of constitutional rights?
Because they do.
Once you set foot on our soil, even if you are a foreign national, you are under our country.
Constitution. That is the fact. But there are different categories, of course. So, executive
order, now those gang members, no constitutional rights, they're out of here. By law, if they
catch you at the border, they can turn you right around. By law. Jason Vass, Katori, Japan.
Mr. O, could you please explain to me and the rest of your viewers why the United States
should expend due process to undocumented immigrant
gang members. Well, if they're categorizes terrorists, as we reported earlier, then we
don't. But the Constitution says what the Constitution says, and it must be obeyed, or we have
anarchy. C. Brazzaduski, Venice, Florida. Do you really believe Donald Trump knows what
he's doing? With his tariff policies, more than $14 trillion, has been wiped out of the stock
market, take years for any recovery. Nah, no, won't. No, won't. That market will snap back real
fast if the tariff deals are made. And, but the longer he goes on, the harder it's going to be
to snap back. In a moment, something you might not know.
If you're thirsting for no, we aren't there yet, kids won't stop crying. We brought snacks,
but they wanted other snacks.
Stop pulling each other's hair
and we made it 14 minutes

When you're feeling the heat,
Circle K makes your day.
Now the O'Reilly update brings you something
you might not know.
The ongoing tariff situation,
very difficult for many Americans to process.
However, imposing high taxes on foreign products
is causing big market swings that we can all understand.
And there is fear.
President Trump's primary goal is to reshape the entire economy.
Throughout U.S. history, just one other president
has successfully shaken the capitalistic system.
Here is a story behind Theodore Roosevelt
and the robber barons.
Propeled by the Industrial Revolution after the Civil War,
the United States quickly became a global superpower.
Corporate titans called robber barons
ruled almost the entire American economy.
Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan,
control financing, steel, Wall Street, oil, electricity,
communications, and railroads.
Roads. Together, these barons own more than 40% of America's total GDP, net worth $400 billion.
But these were not generous men. They forced millions of American workers to toil in horrendous conditions.
Tens of thousands died each year on dangerous oil fields, coal mines, construction sites, train yards.
Most of those working for the barons earned less than a dollar a day, the modern equivalent of $10,000 a year.
Enter President Roosevelt. Teddy took control of the White House after the assassination of William McKinley in 1901.
He immediately sued the robber barons and totally filed 40 antitrust lawsuits against Rockefeller, Morgan, and Carnegie.
Three years later, the Supreme Court sided with T.L.
are. The justices rule the barons ran illegal monopolies over America's most important
industries. Their companies were then divided up into hundreds of smaller operations across the
land. And here's something else you might not know. Though the giant trust were eventually
dismantled, many of those companies remain the biggest organizations in America today. Survivors
of the robber barons financial empire include Exxon, Chevron,
General Electric, J.P. Morgan Chase, U.S. Steel, and Con Edison. Back after this.
