Starting point is 00:00:00 When West Jet first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different. People thought denim on denim was peak fashion, inline skates were everywhere, and two out of three women rocked, the Rachel. While those things stayed in the 90s, one thing that hasn't is that fuzzy feeling you get when WestJet welcomes you on board. Here's to Westjetting since 96. Travel back in time with us and actually travel with us at westjet.com slash 30 years. Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly Update.
Starting point is 00:00:32 coming up next, the news with Mike Slater. Thank you, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. Cabinet shakeup, Artemis Update, 100% tariff, and the Anti-Fraud Task Force doing its job. It's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, a couple of changes in the administration. A few weeks ago, it was the former head of Homeland Security, Christy Noam. Now the latest to go, Pam Bondi, the Attorney General.
Starting point is 00:00:59 The president said Pam Bondi is a great American patriot and a loyal. willfriend. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in crime across our country, with murders plummeting to their lowest levels since 1900. We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector to be announced at a date in the near future, and our deputy attorney general and very talented and respected legal mind Todd Blanche will step in to serve as acting attorney general. At the war department, Heggseth asked for the early retirement of Army Chief of Staff General Randy George, the Senate confirmed him in his term was supposed to end in
Starting point is 00:01:33 27. Two other army officers were removed from their roles as well. General David Houdini, who led the Army's transformation and training command, and Major General William Green, who headed the Army Chaplain Corps. An update on Artemis 2 astronaut Jeremy Hanson told Mission Control that the crew is glued to the window
Starting point is 00:01:54 enjoying the views of Earth. He said none of us can get a lunch because we're glued to the window. They have completed their rotation around the Earth and the spacecraft executed their trans lunar injection burn. This is what makes the astronauts leave our orbit and head towards the moon, which has to be timed perfectly or else they might miss the moon. This is also one of the final commit points, and NASA says it was executed flawlessly. The president began 100% tariffs on certain
Starting point is 00:02:26 pharmaceutical products. The point here is to increase U.S. drug manufacturing. This executive order targets patented drugs that lack the most favored nation pricing agreement with the United States. Most favored nation says that if you're selling a pharmaceutical drug, whatever the lowest price you charge for any other nation, America has to be at that level or lower. Now, if companies commit to bringing more manufacturing to America, then the tariff on their products will drop to 20%. Last week, the president started a task force led by J.D. Vance to start a task force, led by J.D. Vance, to start. fraud across the country. The Vice President announced that federal law enforcement arrested fraudsters who allegedly stole more than $50 million by defrauding health care and hospice systems just in California. 11 fraudsters, $50 million. Dr. Oz noting that in just a few weeks,
Starting point is 00:03:20 this administration has done more than what Governor Newsom's done in four years. I'm Mike Slater. Bill O'Reilly has your message today. Next. Financial stress is hitting an all-time high. Millions of Americans are stretched thin with no extra money, no room to breathe. And this isn't just lower-income households. Middle-class families are also running out of options. If debt has been weighing on you, you are not alone. And waiting usually makes things worse.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Interest grows. Minimum payments trap you. Nothing changes. You don't need another loan or to consider bankruptcy. You need a strategy. That's why I like done with debt. They build a smart personalized plan around you and understand what it takes to work toward
Starting point is 00:04:14 the biggest reductions possible. Whether you owe $10,000 or much more, their goal is simple. Lower what you owe so you keep more of your paycheck. Start with a free consultation. at done with debt.com. Done withdead.com. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
Starting point is 00:04:36 We cannot see it. The enriched uranium inside Iran. Can't watch the scientists trying to make a nuclear weapon. So we have to accept or reject the deadly premise based upon invisible evidence. And many folks will not do that because they don't trust the process. They believe what they want to believe. They don't believe Trump or Israel. Spain and much of Europe fall into this category. As do millions of Americans. The action against Iran cannot be justified. It is Trump's war. Now, history really doesn't matter to the dissenters. Yes, the Mullers are killers.
Starting point is 00:05:23 No question about it. Dead bodies in the street. streets can be seen. But high gas prices and economic pain overrides the death of strangers thousands of miles away, right? In the 1930s, millions of Americans did not believe Germany was genocidal, even though Hitler wrote of his own intentions in a book, Mine Kampf. A solid minority of Americans did not want to help Great Britain oppose the Third Reich. Can't see the oppression. It's way over there. I know the mullahs would slaughter Jews and Americans because they said so. I don't want to believe them, but the evidence is there.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Nukes would make the job easy. So that's where we all are. Believe it or not. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Let's get to the mail, Karen on the message board.
Starting point is 00:06:29 That means Karen is a premium member for Bill O'Reilly.com. You can interact with other premium members. You can only turn the other cheek for so long. I'm very disappointed Pope Leo felt the need to take sides on Iran because obviously diplomacy is far better than war. It's not like we haven't tried it with Iran. Okay. Frank Vasquez, Amanda, Texas.
Starting point is 00:06:53 If Iran closes straight of Hormuz and her tankers are going through it, But if so, why? They don't have tankers. You have to go through the Strait of Homoos to the oil depots in Iran and get the oil. Iran's not sailing it out of there, and now they're blowing up ships that are not only Iran, but Saudi Arabia, UAE, all those oil states. So that's that. Tom in Colorado, Bill, I have no doubt the No King's protests are organized and funded, but I've yet to see anyone haven't infiltrated the groups to prove people actually getting paid.
Starting point is 00:07:37 And you won't. They're not going to tell you the truth. Come on. You're going to say, yeah, I got paid? If you see a professionally made sign, they got paid. If you see buses coming in, that's where. it's all about. Glenda, why would you not want to bring grief to the creators of the phony video on TikTok?
Starting point is 00:08:06 They deserve grief, in my opinion. I don't want to get these people hurt. If I report their names and where they are, they're going to get hurt. You would do that, Glenda? I don't think you'd do that. It's not worth it. I reported the story. You know what the story is.
Starting point is 00:08:23 You don't want to be anybody getting hurt. In a moment, something you might not know. After 19 years, they're back. Frankie Munes, Brian Cranston, and the rest of the family reunite in Malcolm in the middle, life's still unfair. After 10 years avoiding them, Hal and lowest demand Malcolm be at their anniversary party, pulling him straight back into their chaos. Malcolm in the middle, life still unfair. A special four-part event, streaming April 10th on Hulu,
Starting point is 00:08:55 on Disney Plus. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. Every year, Americans spend more than $1 billion at auctions. From Manhattan ballrooms to barns in the Midwest, folks use their harder in cash to own a piece of history. One of the most valuable areas are vintage movie posters. Here are some of the top sellers. Starting point is 00:09:30 Just four copies of that artwork exist. In 2014, actor Nicholas Cage bought one of them for $200,000. Then there's Frankenstein. The 1931 film released a limited number of posters to movie houses across America. An original piece now goes for $250,000. Next up, King Kong. The bizarre imagery shows a golden female statue with a blue background. 2012 one placard was sold in Los Angeles for 1.2 million. Back in a moment.
