Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
It is Thursday, August 15th, 2024.
Here's what's happening today in America, migrant.
arrested, VP debate,
social security number stolen,
and incessant AI hunking.
That's all coming up,
and Bill's going to be here
with your message of the day.
But first, Corey Alvarez,
26-year-old, a migrant from Haiti.
He was arrested in March
indicted for aggravated rape
of a child under 16
in Rockland, Massachusetts.
In June, June,
he was released from jail
on a $500 bond.
He's finally been arrested
by ICE agents taken in a federal
custody. Alvarez has been living in a taxpayer-funded migrant shelter in Massachusetts when he
invited a 15-year-old girl into his room. Alvarez is one of the half a million beneficiaries
of Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris's parole pipeline known as the CHNV program,
Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguan's, and Venezuelans. This is supposed to be the vetted group of
migrants. Day 25, without Kamala doing a press conference or answering any questions from the media,
but her vice presidential candidate has agreed to a vice presidential debate with J.D. Vance in New York City on October 1st.
Two really bad hacking stories, a hacking group known as USDOD, said they stole the data of 2.9 billion people, including social security numbers of many.
The breach allegedly was of a background check company whose data is used by private investigators, consumer public record sites, human resources, and staffing agencies.
In election hacking news, there's a convention in Las Vegas called DefCon and a group gathered to see if they could hack into the electronic voting systems that we use across the country.
And they did.
Politico headline, the nation's best hackers found vulnerabilities in voting machines, but no time to fix them.
Super.
The guy who ran the hackathon said, if you don't think this kind of place is running 24-7 in China and Russia, you're kidding yourself.
We've only been here for two and a half days and we find stuff.
It would be stupid to assume that our adversaries don't have absolute access.
access to everything.
Do you hear that honking?
Imagine that at 4 a.m. outside your window.
There's a driverless car company in San Francisco called Waymo, and they rent this parking
lot where all the driverless cars park at night.
The problem is, as the cars are coming and going at night and backing in and out of their
spaces, they keep almost bumping into each other and hunking, waking everyone up in the
apartment's nearby, but there's no driver to yell at to knock it off.
So dozens of cars are just all hunking each other and going nowhere.
I'm Mike Slater. Bill O'Reilly with your message to the day. Next.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets.
And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver.

998899. Again, that's 866-326-5576 or text bill to 998899. Time now for the O'Reilly Update,
message of the day. On this Thursday, usually this commentary is fact-based, but today I'm going to stray a bit.
I've been thinking about the most penetrating question I could ask to both presidential candidates,
if I ever got the chance.
For Kamala Harris, it would be this.
In the wake of the George Floyd riots,
you asked Americans to donate to an organization
that was raising money to bail out those arrested
in the violent expositions.
Why did you do that?
The question is simple and evocative.
She couldn't deny it.
Therefore, she'd have to explain her motivation.
Was race a factor?
Did she distrust the Minnesota police?
Were her sympathies with the lawbreakers?
What?
Now, it's not fair to speculate about what Ms. Harris would answer,
but she should answer.
And that question should be repeated over and over until she does.
On the Trump front, another simple query.
Mr. President, you often criticize Kamala Harris in very personal ways.
Do you think that will get you votes?
Would be fascinating to know Trump's strategy in that area.
I may actually get to ask the former president the question,
as he has granted me many interviews over the years.
No way, Ms. Kamala would ever speak to me far too much risk for her.
So there you have it.
Do you have a favorite question?
Bill at bill o'Reilly.com.
Name in town.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it.
Let's go to the map. Peter, concierge member,
if anyone believes that a Harris-Wall's administration will unite America,
improve your standard of living, be tough on crime, or be respected and feared by our enemies.
They are indeed fools.
I would tend to agree with that.
I don't like to put down Americans who see things differently than I do in a personal way,
but that's pretty clear what's going to happen that the progressive
win. Armando, another concierge member, thank you, Armando. Very sad how we as an Asian have reached
such a low level of confidence in people who wish to represent us. We will become victims
of our own neglect simply because there are not enough informed people who understand what's
truly at stake. That is the main problem in this country now. The citizens, just like in ancient
Rome, have ceded their responsibility to pay attention to demand good governance. Dennis,
Beeson, Las Vegas. Not only do you have the best election coverage, O'Reilly, your program is our family's
sole source for news. We have zero interest in listening to Biden, talking, heads, spinning the
truth. Well, I appreciate Dennis. I hope we can live up to your confidence in us. I think we are
doing so. And I asked yesterday if you had seen any better you, the millions who are watching and
listening to me right now, had seen any better election coverage, anywhere.
I didn't get one letter.
But if you do, I really like to know so I can check it out.
Steve Friello, Rocky Point, New York on Long Island.
So the Democratic Party did the big switch and got Biden replaced with Harris.
Why can't the Republican Party do the same?
Because the Democratic Party was able to convince President Biden to resign from the race.
Who's going to convince Trump to do that?
one. Okay? So that's why it was all about Biden. In a moment, something you might not know.

something you might not know.
today, a ship carrying
100 passengers left
Plymouth, England.
Destination, a vast
unsettled
section.
of the North American wilderness. After 66 days at sea, the religious zealots known as the
old comers finally arrived in the new world. Here is the story of that harrowing journey.
In the early 17th century, the British monarch again began persecuting people who opposed
the Church of England. A tiny parish of Puritans sought to pursue religious freedom
in the colonies. Their ship the Mayflower, departed Great Britain's 1620. The boat was built to halt
timber, not human beings. The 3,000 mile voyage lasted more than two months. One hundred two
passengers, including three pregnant women and a dozen children, huddled below deck. The cramped
quarters in damp conditions quickly spread disease among the passengers. Their diet consisted of stale
bread, dried meat, beer, because water was polluted. The captain of the ship missed his
original destination of Virginia, arriving instead off the coast of Cape Cod. On December 21st,
1620, the exhausted colonist departed the Mayflower, wrote their leader William Bradford,
quote, we have arrived in a good harbor. We fell upon our knees and blessed the God of heaven,
who had brought us over the vast and furious ocean, unquote.
And here's something else you might not know.
The Puritan's original plan was to set sail aboard two boats.
A second vessel called the Speedwell would carry half the passengers and their cargo.
Well, a few hours into the journey, the Speedwell began to sink.
So they turned around.
the sailors ditched the leaky boat in a British port and everybody crowded onto the Mayflower.
Against all odds, just one passenger perished during the journey.

Killing the Witches.
