The NYPD arrests a homeless West Virginia man over last week's subway bomb scare. Joe Biden praises some Republicans on the campaign trail. The renewed protests come days after activists shut down Hong Kong International Airport. This situation is heading toward confrontation as China is massing troops on the Hong Kong outskirts. New York City police arresting a homeless West Virginia man in connection with three pressure cooker devices left throughout the city, forcing massive subway delays during Friday's busy rush hour. Police have arrested 26-year-old Larry Griffin in the Bronx, charging him with three felony counts of placing a false explosive device. Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden praising some Republicans on the campaign trail. Former Vice President telling a crowd in Massachusetts that the GOP is filled with, quote,

decent people, adding that he often gets in trouble for working across the aisle. Biden's campaign is struggling to deal with a series of problems, comments regarding his working relationship with segregationists during his time in the Senate, but there is no question that Joe Biden is running as a moderate and would like Republican votes. Controversial for our left, Congresswoman, Talib, calling for boycott against comedian Bill Maher, after the HBO host called her anti-Israeli movement a bogus purity test. Thelib accusing Mar of discrediting her and comparing the Jewish state's occupation of Palestine with apartheid in South Africa. Great White sharks continue to frighten swimmers across Cape Cod,

with experts saying more than 300 apex predators now call the region their home. One town on Cape has closed its beaches more than 20 times since July. You may remember that last Wednesday, 36-year-old convicted convict, Maurice Hill, shot and injured six police officers in Philadelphia. He was using an AR-15 assault rifle and a number of other weapons. Hill was a crack pusher, and cops had a warrant to search his

apartment and arrest him. Well, the standoff lasted eight hours. None of the injuries to the police officers are life-threatening. However, it was harrowing. More than a hundred rounds were fired during the incident. Suspect is now charged with attempted murder and could face life in prison. He has been denied bail so far. Now, Maurice Hill has a lengthy criminal record, dating back to the early 2000s. Previous rests include crack cocaine and pot. He's definitely a pusher. Also, he is a lengthy criminal record of convictions including burglary, aggravated assault, drug selling, DUI, reckless endangerment, and various gun charges. So how did he have all those guns? He couldn't buy them legally

in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. So he got them on the street. Hill is a long history of possessing a legal gun. So why is he out of prison? His first arrest at 18 years old was for possessing a gun with an altered serial number. What does that say to you? Hill was also arrested in 2008, after being caught with a Smith and Western revolver and 45, he was sentenced to four years and seven months, but he didn't serve that time. He served about half of it. Now, I have been saying that all gun crimes in America should be federal crimes with mandatory federal prison sentences to keep people like Hill off the street. Remember, he shot six cops. I also remember my conversation with President Obama in the White House where he told me

that certain drug crimes are nonviolent, including sale. That is not true. Guns are obviously used to protect and enforce drug trafficking. There isn't a major drug pusher or distributor that doesn't have an array of guns. This is not a benign industry. Also, narcotics are responsible for more than 100,000 deaths in the USA every year. Selling that poison is not a non-violent action.

None of us should have sympathy for these people. The crack cocaine epidemic has destroyed neighborhoods, individuals, led to crime, led to breakdowns of families, child abuse, you name it. Crack cocaine is a vicious substance, and that's what Hill was selling inside the apartment, the police raided. To review, mandatory prison sentences are necessary for all criminals carrying guns, in America. And we should not be categorizing drug trafficking and pushing as nonviolent. That's insane.
