Starting point is 00:00:18 TV crew robbed and Eminem is now a super lame old guy. It's all coming up. Then Bill will be here with your message today. But first, everyone's talking about the storm surge. Of course, first thing people think about what the hurricane is the wind, and that's bad, but the storm surge, water flowing in from the ocean, that is the cause of half of all hurricane-related deaths. Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, storm surge was as high as 28 feet above normal tide levels.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Hurricane Ian, 2022 is 18 feet. They're expecting 12 feet of storm surge for this hurricane. Governor DeSantis is warning people inland Florida to be careful of flooding as well, water overwhelming the sewage system and roads, some places expecting up to 12 inches of rain. They've deployed 250 Starlink internet devices across the state to help with cell service, and 40,000 linemen are ready to restore power as soon as possible. The FBI is interviewing over a dozen nationals from Uzbekistan after they came to the United States seeking asylum at the Mexico border.
Starting point is 00:01:23 These migrants, migrants, illegal immigrants, traveled to America with the health. help of a smuggler with ties to ISIS. Super. A classified intelligence report was reportedly given to Joe Biden's top cabinet officials showing how the, quote, U.S. is deeply vulnerable to the possibility that terrorists could sneak across the southern border. Uzbekistan, by the way, is 8,000 miles away from the United States. A Chicago television news crew was covering a string of robberies when they were robbed at gunpoint
Starting point is 00:01:57 by three men in masks. This is the second time that this has happened this month where a news crew was robbed. In San Francisco, a local bakery has a policy that they refuse service to anyone who's armed, even on-duty police officers. They said in a time of increased gun violence, particularly impacting people of color, youth, and queer people. We believe that maintaining a strict policy of prohibiting guns in our restaurant keeps us safer. How does that keep anyone safe?
Starting point is 00:02:25 If there are two bakeries, one full. of police officers, and the others not. Which one would someone try to rob? The youngest person ever to run for president, Vivek Ramoswam, he's 38. Sometimes he'll rap an Eminem song while he's on the campaign trail. Eminem, who's now 50 years old, is telling Vivek to stop. Eminem, by the way, in 2004, released an anti-George Bush song, Mosh, criticizing Bush and his support of the Iraq war, and here he is speaking out against one of the most anti-war candidates in the race. When did Eminem gets so lame? Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the

On this Wednesday, there's a reason that Vice President Kamala Harris polls so poorly, and that is Americans do not trust her intellect. her appointment to find the root causes of illegal immigration has become a national joke. The vice president's latest public statement is perhaps the worst analysis she has ever done. Shortly after three innocent African Americans were gunned down in Jacksonville, Florida,
Starting point is 00:04:42 by a 21-year-old racist maniac, the vice president put out a statement saying blacks are afraid to leave their homes for fear of being killed by white racists? Well, according to a study at a Columbia University at devoted liberal school, 15% of all public shootings are classified as racial incidents, and that includes blacks harming whites and other groups. And overwhelming 85% of shootings are done by criminals,
Starting point is 00:05:17 many of them black-on-black violence. Kamala Harris simply doesn't want to be. want to acknowledge that, despite her once holding the Attorney General's job in California. She is being blatantly misleading to the public. Why? Because the progressive narrative is that the USA is a white supremacist nation which fosters gun violence against blacks by whites. The truth is that inner city black gangs are terrorizing innocent African Americans every day. And that is indeed fear-inducing. Try being intellectually honest for a change, Ms. Vice President. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at
Starting point is 00:06:02 Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town, if you wish to opine. Okay, let's start with the mail. Danley Garcia, Juwacha City, Arizona. I hope I's saying that correctly between the Biden administration and the press, which is more corrupt? You ask that question, O'Reilly? Well, I say that it's the Justice Department because they have more power than the media. But boy, does the media hide the dirt? For Democrats, they do. Jack Gilbert, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Bill in response to your question regarding who is more corrupt, the feds are mainstream media. I can only say the feds are corrupt. corrupt, but only because the media facilitates that.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Excellent point. Excellent point, Jack. If the media were fair and honest, corruption would be a lot less. Charles Rink, Spruce Pine, Alabama. The corrupt Biden administration is worse than the corrupt media because we can tune out the media, but the federal government is wasting our tax money. Dwight Jackson, Manila, Arkansas. Mainstream media is the most corrupt because if they were doing their job,
Starting point is 00:07:15 the government would be held accountable. I'm glad you guys got that point, that's for sure. Adam Sherman, High Ridge, Missouri, should we expect the same voting shenanigans we saw during the last presidential election? Well, you have to go to all 50 states. Again, the states run the elections, not the federal government.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Most Americans do not understand that. Nick Blankenship, Princeton, West Virginia. I'm 26 years old, premier member more than six months ago. I appreciate that you report the facts without speculation. I share President Biden's schedule which you give us every day with my friends and they're staggered by his lack of productivity. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 32 years ago today, Thomas Jefferson published a public letter regarding slavery in America. The documents show the Founding Fathers' contradictory view on the institution because he profited
Starting point is 00:09:02 from it. Here is the story. In the summer of 1791, a black mathematician, an astronomer named Benjamin Bannaker wrote a letter to Thomas Jefferson, urging him to abolish slavery in the newly formed Republic, wrote Bannaker, quote, there was a time when you clearly saw the injustice of a state of slavery, how pitiable it is to reflect that you should at the same time be found guilty of that most criminal act, which you professedly detested in others with respect to yourself, unquote. Thomas Jefferson did respond 11 days later. His letter was cordial and complimentary, but he refused to acknowledge his role in perpetuating the enslavement of four million black Americans, wrote Jefferson,
Starting point is 00:10:07 nobody wishes more than I do to see such proofs as you exhibit that nature has given to our black brethren talents equal to those of the other colors of men, unquote. Jefferson essentially dodged Bannocker's point. He wrote the line, all men are created equal in the general. Declaration of Independence. Yet Jefferson owned more than 600 human beings. Thomas Jefferson called the institution of slavery a moral depravity and a hideous blot, but he freed just two slaves throughout his entire life. Benjamin Bannaker died in 1806. Thomas Jefferson
Starting point is 00:10:53 continued to own slaves until his death in 1826. And here's something else you might not know. and predicted that slavery would ultimately be settled through a civil war between the states. Obviously, he was right. 35 years after his death, the country, he helped liberate from Great Britain, plunged in one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history. Back after this.
