Bill O'Reilly here. Tuesday, August 9th, 2022. You are listening to the O'Reilly update.
Here's what's happening across our nation. The FBI incredibly raged Donald Trump's home in Florida.
President Biden's job approval remains below 40%. A record number of cops fleeing the job in New York City.
A global survey ranks the most livable places on Earth.
Also ahead, I will analyze this FBI Trump situation, but first. On that note, the Department of Justice
executing a search warrant on Mr. Trump's residence in Palm Beach, Florida. The former president
confirming the raid on his media platform, true social, quote, my home in Palm Beach, Florida is
currently under siege, raided and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this.
has ever happened to a president of the United States before. Such an assault can only take place
in corrupt third world countries, unquote. Again, I will have more on this coming up shortly.
Mr. Biden's approval rating, staying below 40%, the Democrat will sign the Inflation Reduction Act this
week, new legislation that allocates $700 billion to fight climate change and expand health care.
The real clear average finds 39% of the public right now support Joe Biden, 56% do not.
By comparison, Donald Trump's approval 20 months into his residency was 43%, Barack Obama, 46%, Bush the younger, 66% after 9-11, of course.
At least 1,000 New York City police officers filing for early retirement so far this year, the most on record.
Another 300 detectives also resigning.
10% of the city's assistant DAs have quit under progressive district attorney Alvin Brad.
Compared to the last year, shootings in New York City up 22%, robberies up 54%, car theft, 56%, violent felonies in the subway, up 48%.
A report from The Economist magazine ranks the most livable cities on the planet.
the towns are judged by culture, health care, education, infrastructure, entertainment.
Top five, Vancouver, Canada, Calgary, Canada, Zurich, Switzerland, Copenhagen, Denmark,
and the best place to live on the planet, Vienna, Austria, the most unlivable city,
Damascus, Syria. Again, this is from The Economist magazine.
In a moment more on the FBI.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update message of the day, what the deuce is going on at the Justice Department.
Yesterday, the FBI raided Donald Trump's primary residence in Palm Beach, Florida, as I reported.
Agents had a warrant signed by a federal judge.
Now, I do not know the facts of this case because that warrant has not been made public.
However, credible reports say the FBI was seeking top secret documents sought by the National Archives.
This is classified information, and the allegation is that Donald Trump removed
some documents from the White House in January 2021 when he left office and took them to Florida.
Now, Mr. Trump confirmed the raid in a lengthy email. He said agents broke into his house and
his safe. He also said the raid was not unannounced. The Trump people knew about it,
and there was a lawyer for Donald Trump on the scene named Christina Bob. The Secret Service was there,
of course, and they had to step aside because the FBI had a search warrant.
Now, Donald Trump himself does not live in Palm Beach during the summer.
He's up at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
And this probe was known to all because the National Archives had reported that there was
some top secret documents missing.
now we don't know what those documents are whether this was a mistake whether it was intentional we don't
know any of that but what we do know is that it's an outrageous situation because no president ever
before has been the subject of a search with a warrant so we have to wait and see what comes out
my fear is that the head of the FBI Christopher Ray and we saw him last
Thursday, do a poor, poor presentation in front of a Senate committee that Rayo said, oh, I can't say
anything because there's an investigation. If he does that, there's going to be a lot of anger
in this country. Also, the attorney general, Merrick Garland, his reputation's on the line.
Now, the Biden administration of the White House says it did not know about this raid beforehand,
and that makes sense.
Garland would give his boss, President Biden, cover.
However, we the people need to know what this is all about, because this is worldwide headlines,
and it makes Donald Trump look like a criminal to people who don't understand our system.
We had the bogus Russian collusion.
We had two impeachments that never should have been launched.
They were pure political plays by Nancy Pelosi.
And now we have this.
Final point.
The raid by the FBI may actually help Donald Trump.
Because people are angry about this.
And if the federal government stonewalls,
Trump will gain on the political front.

you something you might not know. For the last decade, the most profitable movies in Hollywood
have featured superheroes. In 2019, films based on comic book characters generated $7 billion
at the box office. However, the rise of street.
and woke culture is changing that.
Last week, Warner Brothers announced the studio will shelve the latest installment of the Batman franchise.
Here is the story behind the demise of Bat Girl.
Development for that film dates back to 2018.
Executives at Warner Brothers work to update the character.
Filmmakers hired a diverse cast and began shooting in Scotland.
After spending a whopping $90 million, the film was shown to audiences for the first time a few
weeks ago, and most of them hated it. Fans called the movie dull, irredeemable, flat-out stupid.
That was the preview audience. The studio agreed. Bosses at Warner Brothers decided to cut and run.
They scrap plans to release the movie in theaters and on streaming.
Some far-left critics say the movie was canceled,
because of its minority cast and female lead, wrote NBC News, quote,
The Killing Off a Batgirl was a senseless blow to diverse comic fans, unquote.
According to the studio, it was simply a matter of money, as everything is in that world.
Warner Brothers recently merged with Discovery.
The new CEO, David Laslov, immediately promised to cut costs and canceled CNN Plus
right off the bat.
That was a $300 million streaming platform,
and Zavlov cut it three days after it launched.
Now, Batgirl is the latest casualty by Warner Brothers Discovery.
And here is their statement.
We're not going to put out a movie to make any money,
and we're not going to put out a movie unless we believe in it.
And here's something else you might not know.
Fans of Bat Girl will likely never see,
the footage. For tax purposes, the studio wrote off the film. It's a complete financial loss.
If the movie was ever released, Warner Brothers would have to pay millions and penalties
to the IRS. Back after this.
