Bill O'Reilly here.
You are listening to the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
Happy Monday, December 11th, 2023.
Here's this happening today in America.
President fired tornadoes in Tennessee, reinstated to X and Cosmix, new locations.
That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, the president of the University of Pennsylvania and Ivy League School has resigned in
shame. This comes after her congressional testimony where she could not say that students calling
for the genocide of Jews would fall under Penn's harassment policy. One donor pulled back
a $100 million donation until she got fired. That'll do it. During the hearing, Congresswoman
Stephanie asked the president of Penn, does saying the genocide of Jews violate Penn's
code of conduct? And she said, if the speech turns into conduct, it can be harassment.
Yes. If they commit genocide, then that's a violation of the rules.
Severe storms and tornadoes ripping through Middle Tennessee on Saturday sent 60 to the hospital and six people confirmed dead.
One of the deaths was a two-year-old child.
She lived in a mobile home park and the storm rolled another mobile home on top of the one she lived in.
That mobile home and a seven- and a 10-year-old living inside.
They have non-life-threatening injuries.
This storm was two years to the day
When a record 41 tornadoes
Went through Tennessee and Kentucky
Killing 81 in Kentucky
Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, among other things
Asked a poll
Reinstate Alex Jones on this platform

Elon Musk is also reinstated from Twitter jail, Kanye West,
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green for her COVID-19 misinformation,
and of course, Donald J. Trump.
McDonald's has a new coffee chain pilot called Cosmix.
There's one in Illinois, nine more are planned for Texas in the coming months,
and they sell over-the-top customized coffee drinks,
like Starbucks, but even more over-the-top,
popping pear slush, churro,
Frape, s'mores cold brew, sour cherry energy burst, tropical spice aid, stuff like that.
Why can't they just do this in their regular McDonald's?
It's too complicated.
A triple shot, chai, frape burst, just slow down every other order.
The name comes from a McDonald's character from the 80s who's like half alien, half robot.
I'm Mike Slater.
The great Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day.
Next.
Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Monday, I am wondering what is to become of James Biden, the brother of President Biden.
He was subpoenaed to testify in front of a congressional committee, defied the subpoena, did not show up.
Now, what is Congress going to do about it?
They put Steve Bannon, a Trump acolyte, in jail for doing that, four months.
Peter Navarro, another Trump guy, was sentenced to jail.
We don't know how long that will come down soon.
But what about James Biden?
Is there going to be any penalty for him?
not showing up to a congressional ordered deposition and then there's
Hunter Biden he's supposed to show up this week he says he's not going to
well what's going to happen to him see if the Justice Department and Congress do not
enforce contempt of Congress citations we don't have a justice system and
everybody knows that the Biden family is receiving special treatment. Everybody knows that.
So enough's enough. I want to see the Biden family held to account. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I
approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com.
name in town if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail. Janet, no matter what Trump said or
will say the corrupt media will twist it and make a lie out of it. They are a despicable bunch.
The worst is they can't get away with it. Yes, they can. No constraints on the media.
Pretty frightening. Charles Rinks, Bruce Pine, Alabama. Bill your staff for Americans owning
stock begs to question, how can Biden win again? Do Democrats want their investments?
totally destroyed.
You know, it's a good question, Charles, you're asking.
And I do ask that to my liberal friends.
I said, look, you guys hurting you.
Heardin your family, hurting your kids and grandkids, I can just
vote for him.
The answer is always.
Trump is worse.
Mike Finian, Jacksonville, Florida.
Bill, my wife and I went to dinner recently.
Restaurant wanted to charge me $16 for a glass of wine.
I told him no thanks and drank water.
Good.
And if you believe in Jesus, I mean, it's a long shot,
but maybe you come down and change the water into wine.
Probably not.
Don't buy stuff that's a rip off.
Don't.
Nancy Holman, Petersburg, Virginia.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. Two weeks from today,
2.4 billion Christians will celebrate the birth of Jesus in every country on Earth. In most
places, the festive season is also the most lucrative economic time of the
the year. Here's how the Christmas holiday is monetized. In Europe, it's all about the market
from Portugal to Poland. Folks spend 400 billion euros on trees, trinkets, wine, and gifts.
The British are the biggest spenders. The English drop an entire month's income on Christmas
presents. South Americans celebrate the holiday with traditional meals.
hills, thousands of food carts, line of streets of Brazil, Chile, Argentina, during December.
In Colombia, Christians eat 12 grapes at midnight, each one representing a peaceful month
in the new year.
Though celebrating Jesus of Nazareth is discouraged by the Communist Party, the Chinese
use his birthday to generate cash.
The small town of Yiwu, about 90 miles south of Shanghai, produces 70% of the planet's holiday
decoration.
So, if you have lights on your home, chances are they came from China.
Here in the States, the undisputed king of Christmas is Santa Claus.
The Dutch brought St. Nick to the new world in the 17th century.
But it was American capitalism that created the character we know today.
Before World War II, executives at Macy's and Coca-Cola put Santa in a red and white jumpsuit to match their logos.
And here's something else you might not know.
Christmas is officially banned in more than a dozen nations, Afghanistan, Somalia, North Korea,
even the Catholic country of Cuba because it's communist.
Fidel Castro abolished Christmas after seizing control of Havana in 1950.
40 years later, the Marxist government officially declared December 25th, quote,
a non-religious day of leisure.
Workers are given 24 hours off, but without pay.
Felice Navidad, back after this.
Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines.
