Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. Merry Christmas. It is Monday, December 15th, 2025. Here's this happening today in America. Ambush in Syria, Ivy League shooting, Sydney terrorist attack, and trying to get a spider. It's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. First, two U.S. soldiers and one civilian, U.S. interpreter, were killed in Syria on Saturday after they were.
were ambushed by a likely ISIS attacker. Three other service members were injured during this attack as
well. These are the first combat deaths since President Trump returned to the Oval Office.
Our president said, ISIS attack against the U.S. and Syria in a very dangerous part of Syria
that is not fully controlled by them. The new president of Syria, who used to be a member of al-Qaeda,
was recently at the White House. So this administration has placed a level of trust in him
thinking that he's the guy to help modernize the nation.
Our president said that this president of Syria is extremely angry and disturbed by this attack.
There will be very serious retaliation.
Two students were killed, nine injured at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Hundreds, 400, to be specific, police officers, swarm the streets in and around Brown,
shining flashlights into park cars searching for this murder who opened fire in a campus building.
All of the victims were students.
Brown University. There was another mass shooting that's a terrorist attack at Bondi Beach
in Sydney, Australia. This is at a Jewish celebration. Death toll is at 16 so far. The premier of
this area said this was an attack designed to target Sydney's Jewish community on the first day
of Hanukkah. The attack so far that we know was carried out by a father and son. The father,
who was 50 years old, was killed. The 24-year-old is in custody.
Their names were Navid Akram and Sashid Akram.
It ended with a hero.
A man ran up behind one of these terrorists and grabbed the gun from him, pointed it at the terrorist.
There's video of it.
It's incredible.
The victims ranged from ages 10 to 87.
A door-dash driver in Indiana has been arrested after she reportedly pepper sprayed a woman's order.
The woman didn't see this at first, opened up the food, and started a car.
vomiting. Her eyes were burning with her nose and throat as well. So they went to the
doorbell camera. This woman walks up to the door, places the order on the stoop, then looks at
the camera, and then spray the order. She has a good excuse, though. She told the investigators that
she used the pepper sprayer, whatever it was, to kill a spider that frightened her. Police say,
nice try. It was 35 degrees at the time. And spiders aren't walking around Indiana when it's
that cold outside.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Monday, it looks like President Trump
will be the point man for the Republican struggle
to keep the House and the Senate in 2026,
the midterm elections. He went to Pennsylvania, and I expected a bit of specificity on the high
prices in America, but that's not what happened. Mr. Trump held a campaign rally. Yes, he cited
his accomplishments. Yes, he ran down his opposition, the Democratic Party, but that's what he did
in the campaign of 2004.
He didn't change the style to fit the moment.
It's not a criticism.
Donald Trump believes that he and only him
can drive people to the midterm voting precincts,
that the individual candidates are not going to do that.
And remember, in 2000,
2018, Mr. Trump got whacked.
The Republicans lost the House by a big number.
He's been through this.
So apparently, he has said,
I am going to take the lead in the campaign next year.
And that's what will happen.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.

John. That is not true. They are administering to the poor. The theology of Christianity
does not distinguish about passports if you are in dire trouble. If you are a Christian,
you are compelled to help. Come on. Jason Hunt, Scottsdale, Arizona, from what I understand,
Senator Mark Kelly was frustrated being passed over.
as Kamala Harris's vice president.
I suspect he's getting involved with the unlawful orders
to put himself in a place where he can run for president 28.
Very good analysis.
I didn't even think of that, Jason.
But you may well be right.
Currying favor on the far left.

Bill, in today's message on bill o'Reilly.com,
we have it every morning.
We hope you read it.
You seem to indicate the first Thanksgiving was held by purification.
My information is that Thanksgiving was held by pilgrims, a different religious group.
Dan, I hate to break this to you because I like you, but your information is ridiculous.
So the word pilgrim was only incorporated 10 years after the Puritans decided to leave England and come to the new world.
world. There were no pilgrims landing at Plymouth. They were Puritan separatists.
Okay? And William Bradford, the governor of Massachusetts Bay, then named them pilgrims
because pilgrims, you look at up, people travel. All right. So your information, Dan? Not good.
In a moment, something you might not know.

Now, the O'Reilly Update
brings you something you might not know.
135 years ago today,
one of the great Native American chiefs
was killed in South Dakota.
Some say he was murdered,
and that ended years of resistance
against the federal government's conquest
of the West.
Here is the story of Sitting Bull.
Born 1831,
the young Lakota-Inns,
Indian, killed his first buffalo at age 10, then joined his tribe's war party at 14 years old,
not unusual.
Indian Braves are very young.
His struggle against American troops began in 1863 during the Civil War.
Sitting Bowl became one of the few tribal leaders who refused to sign peace treaties with Washington.
In 1875, Geronimo was ordered to bring his people.
onto a reservation.
He refused.
The clash led to the battle of the Little Big Horn.
When the Sioux and Cheyenne tribes wiped out, General Custer's 7th Cavalry,
263 Americans are killed.
Their body stripped, scalped, and massacred as a message to President Grant.
The battle enraged the American public, sitting bull, and his people had to flee to Canada.
With food scarce up there, the tribe ultimately returned, surrendering to the U.S. Army in July 1881.
Nine years later, officials in Washington falsely blamed Sitting Bull for inciting another Indian insurrection.
Police were dispatched to arrest the chief.
Well, someone fired a gun at the authorities.
They retaliated by shooting Sitting Bull in a chest.
The 59-year-old was killed instantly.
And here's something else you might not know.
The actual location of Sitting Bull's grave is still unknown.
Chief's body was initially buried in a cemetery at Fort Yates, North Dakota.
Sixty years after the killing, a descendant named Clarence Gray Eagle
secretly relocated Geronimo's bones to a new grave.
And that site remains a mystery to this day.
For more details, check out my book, Killing Crazy Horse, back in a moment.
