Bill O'Reilly here Thursday, December 19th, 2019. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Here's what's happening
across our nation. House Democrats formally impeach the President of the United States. A new survey shows
95% of women over the age of 50 plan on voting next November. Despite falling ratings, CNN maintains its grip
on the nation's airports. An Asian-American group wants Jay Leno fired from NBC. The number of teens
vaping marijuana doubles in the last 12 months. Also ahead, the message of the day, impeachment,
will it hurt Donald Trump? But first, House Democrats voting to impeach the president,
Mr. Trump, now the third chief executive in American history, to stand trial in the
Senate, the process will be presided over by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts.
It is very unlikely that two-thirds of the 100 senators will vote to remove the president.
A new survey from AARP says 95% of women over 50 plan on voting in 2020, but seven in 10 are
undecided as to what party they will support. Health care, the most important,
issue at 70% saying old Americans pay too much, and they're not happy about it. Despite the
low ratings, CNN maintains its grip on America's airports. You see the TV sets. The channel is
in 58 major hubs around the country, reaching 329 million travelers each year. That market doesn't
come cheap. For example, the network pays Miami-Dade Airport $150,000 every year to keep the TV's tune
to CNN, and they pay the other airports as well. An Asian-American group demanding NBC severed ties
with Jay Leno. They say the comedian has a pattern of denigrating Asian people. A controversy started
when Mr. Leno joked about Asians eating dog meat while appearing on America's Got Talent.
The number of teams vaping pot rising fast.
2018, 70% of high schoolers admitted using the devices in the past 30 days.
A number is now 14% a double.
The CDC reports that 2,400 people have been hospitalized from vaping, causing 52 deaths.
In a moment, impeachment.
Will it actually help Donald Trump?
Right back with that.
Deborah's home was stolen.
I don't mean thieves.
stole stuff. I mean, scammers literally stole her home. The FBI calls home title theft one of the
fastest growing white collar crimes. This story is why you need home title lock. Deborah says,
quote, criminals found the title to our home online and filed fraudulent documents claiming they
owned it. And it gets worse. Deborah, quote, I was evicted from my own home and 85 grand in equity gone.
Nobody believes you can get your home stolen this easily, unquote.
This is why you need home title lock because no insurance or bank protects your home from title theft.
First things first, please go to home tidal lock.com and register your address to see if you're already a victim and don't know it.
Then sign up to protect the legal title to your home so you don't end up like Deborah.
And to get you started, I got you 60 risk-free days of protection.
section. Please go to hometitlelock.com. Hometitlelock.com. Time now for the O'Reilly update message of the day
the fallout from impeachment. The high tide line for the quote, resistance has now been
reached. The House voting to impeach President Trump was it. Now the hysteria will recede as the
Senate will banish the contrived action in January. After the
that the folks will move ahead, but impeachment will likely damage the Democratic Party, in my opinion,
come election time. As many Americans realize, the whole thing was unfair. My analysis comes as a
historian, not as a pundit. All presidents have executive privilege, which means they can
legally fight congressional subpoenas. Thus, the obstruction of Congressional.
charge is bogus, and a federal court would throw it right out if it got to that. The Democrats in
the House know this, but don't care, because it's all about public relations. President Trump
bad, Democrats, good. But it may not turn out that way. As for the abuse of power charge,
that could have been lodged against every single chief executive who has ever served.
Think JFK and the Bay of Pigs.
Consider George W. Bush and the invasion of Iraq.
Contemplate Abraham Lincoln suspending habeas corpus.
How about Barack Obama, misleading Americans about federally funded health care?
Again, Democrats know all this.
Senator Charles Schumer, the minority leader, is even insisting that the Senate call witnesses
in the impeachment case, even though the Constitution clearly states that the Senate's job
is to decide the validity of charges brought to it by the House. The Senate is not supposed to
investigate anything. That is the job of the House of Representatives. Again, Chuck Schumer knows
that they just want to create as much chaos as they can. I'm talking about the Democrats
for the Trump administration. Now, 21 years ago today, President Bill Clinton was impeached
by the House. The charges were lying to a grand jury and obstruction of justice.
Mr. Clinton was acquitted in the Senate trial, 55 senators voting not to remove him from
office, 55. That included a number of Republicans. In the Trump impeachment, not one Republican
in the House voted yes, not one. So what does this tell us as Americans? It says that this
is a partisan play that the resistance, many in the Democratic Party, and even some independence,
despise Donald Trump so much they will use anything and everything to hurt him.
I'm Bill O'Reilly, and I approve that message by actually writing it.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
2019 was a big year for Hollywood. Half of all of us, all Americans,
took at least one trip to the movie theater, spending an average of $9 a ticket.
Total box office sales are estimated to top $12 billion in the USA.
If you're a fan of superheroes, cartoons, or clowns, you probably caught a few of these
blockbusters, so let's look back at the year's biggest films.
Frozen 2 made $1 billion worldwide. The first fairy tale was so successful, Disney broke protocol
by releasing a sequel, a rarity in the studio's 96-year history.
Aladdin, also clearing a billion at the box office,
the musical remake, sparking allegations of Islamophobia
from the Council on American Islamic Relations.
The Joker, now the highest grossing R-rated film of all time.
More than 24 actors have played the Batman villain since 1940.
Heath Ledger received an Oscar for,
For the role in 2009, the buzz in Hollywood now is that actor Joaquin Phoenix may get the next Oscar.
Disney, once again, he didn't get big with Toy Story 4, featuring the voices of Tom Hanks,
Tim Allen, Carol Burnett, Mel Brooks, even the late Don Rickles.
Mr. Hanks claims the sequel is the last.
But after earning a billion at the box office, that is an open question.
Spider-Man Far from Home also topped a billion dollars.
Next up, the Lion King, the computer animated remake, earned $1.6 billion worldwide.
Disney again, delivering big returns for its shareholders, CEO Bob Iger, Time Magazine's
business person of the year.
Finally, Avengers Endgame, 2019's biggest smash in the highest grossing film ever.
$2.8 billion.
And here's something you might not know.
Adjusting for inflation, forget about Avengers endgame.
The highest grossing film of all time?
Gone with the Wind at $3.7 billion and counting.
Remember, the film was showed on TV all over the world and people get paid.
And Clark Gable, the lead and gone with the wind, couldn't even fly back after this.
