Thank you, Bill.
It is Thursday, December 19th, 2024.
Here's this happening today in America.
voice of the people. J.D. calls him out state of emergency in California and Fed cuts rates. It's all
coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, a major win for
Doge and Elon and the people. The House has until Friday to pass a continuing resolution
to fund the government for ideally three more months. They could have passed what is called a clean
bill. Just a couple pages long. Keeps everything just the same for a couple more months,
March 14th. Instead, Republican leadership tried to pass a
1,547 page bill, full of pork for everyone.
There was so much outrage from the people yesterday amplified by Elon and Vivek that Speaker
Johnson scrapped the bill.
Elon said your elected representatives have heard you, and now the terrible bill is dead.
The voice of the people has triumphed, Vox Populi, Vox Dei, which is Latin for the voice
of the people is the voice of God.
He concluded the night with, unless Doge ends the career.
of deceitful pork barrel politicians, the wasting corruption will never stop.
Therefore, there's no choice but to do so.
I wish there was another way, but there's not.
President-elect Donald Trump said he was totally opposed to that continuing resolution.
J.D. Vance said in a long post, Congress is considering a spending bill that would give
sweetheart provisions for government censors and for Liz Cheney.
The bill would make any, this is the continuing resolution, would make it easier to hide the
records of the corrupt January 6th committee, which accomplished not.
for the American people and hid security failures that happened that day. Republicans must
get smart and tough. If Republicans threaten to shut down the government unless we give them
everything they want, call their bluff. It's Schumer and Biden who are holding up our aid
to farmers and disaster relief. This chaos would not be happening if we had a real president
and we will in 32 days. California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency over
the bird flu. More bird flu cases discovering cows in California. He says this is a targeted
in action to ensure that government agencies have the flexibility they need to respond quickly
to this outbreak. There's been no recorded cases of a person-to-person spread. Sixty-one human
cases of bird flu in 16 states so far, 34 of those cases in California. The Federal Reserve
voted for the third consecutive meeting to cut the interest rates. The Federal Reserve has now
cut interest rates by a full percentage point, 100 basis points, since they started cutting
in September. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast, Politics by Faith. The Great Bill
O'Reilly, the real Vox Populi with your message of the day. Next.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On his Thursday, Donald Trump could be at the highest point of his life, just seven months
after the lowest point.
As Frank Sinatra once saying, that's life and I can't
deny it. The Trump haters thought they had him beaten, the ridiculous show trials in New York City,
the totally unnecessary FBI raid on Mara Lago, the nonstop hatred Donald Trump endured from
the liberal press. However, the Don fought hard and prevailed, not only routing Kamala Harris,
but also badly damaging the Democratic Party and much of the corrupt means.
media. It's an amazing turn of events orchestrated by one single human being, Donald Trump,
who now officially owns the cliche. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. But the
story is not over yet. The president-elect must succeed in solving very difficult problems.
He has to show strength and determination to improve America's circumstance.
After all that Trump has been through, however, he has a unique vantage point on the strength
and determination thing.
Now, he must turn his personal victories into legacies for the USA.

James Walzer at Damascus, Oregon.
The other day, you said some flattering things about Barack Obama, O'Reilly,
which I find offensive.
It's the opinion of many people and myself that Obama's the worst thing that it had ever happened to this country.
Okay, so let me get this straight, James.
My opinion of which I am entitled to offends you.
Well, I'm not offended by your opinion that you think Obama was the worst thing that's ever happened in the country.
You're entitled to it.
Why would you be offended by my opinion?
and I report accurately on Barack Obama in confronting the presidents, very accurately.
So my opinion has some weight.
Why would you be offended?
That's not good.
Lowlark in Hart'sville, Tennessee.
Bill, why don't you talk about Biden and Congress selling off the wall for pennies on the dark?
It's not a big story.
Yeah, they're selling some stuff down there, so what?
Trump is going to come in.
Congress is going to give him whatever he needs.
to put the wall back together again, and that's that.
I don't do minutia here.
I don't think that's a big story.

not going to happen. It's not, they're going to keep it the way it is. There's a lot of
transitory stuff that has to happen. In a moment, something you might not know.

you might not know. 247 years ago today, General George Washington and his troops
marched into the hills of South Eastern Pennsylvania.
the exhausted soldiers set up camp in what would quickly become the fourth largest city in the
North American colonies. Here is the story of Valley Forge. On December 19, 1777, 12,000 soldiers,
400 women, 200 children, began construction of the camp to wait out the cold winter months
when fighting was very difficult.
Soon, the fort they erected north of Philadelphia consisted of 2,000 log huts and two miles of
defenses.
The encampment was as diverse as any city.
It was made up of free and enslaved to black soldiers, Native Americans, wealthy officers,
poor enlisted men, also European immigrants.
Life in Valley Forge was brutal.
Over the span of a few weeks, 2,000 troops died from disease.
That's one out of every six.
Another thousand actually starved to death at Valley Forge.
To boost morale, George Washington organized a daring raid against the British in Philadelphia,
but the mission was called off because of a blizzard and a mass illness among his army.
wrote the general in a letter to the Continental Congress, quote,
I ordered the troops to be in readiness for an attack, but behold, to my great mortification,
the men were unable to stir on account of lack of provisions.
That means they didn't have any food.
All I could do under the circumstances was send out a few light parties to watch the enemy, unquote.
Well, the Army stayed in Valley for it for six months.
In June 1778, Washington and his soldiers left the fort pursuing English forces as they retreated from Philadelphia to New York City.
And here's something else you might not know.
Today, Valley Forge remains one of the most popular national parks in America.
Two million visitors tour the site each year.
There, folks can see the log cabin where George Washington celebrated Christmas Day in 17.
