Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
It is Monday, December 2nd, 2024.
Here's what's happening today in America.
to the FBI, taxpayer cash to Pakistan, the brick threat to cash, and Black Friday record sales,
but not in cash.
That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day of the first.
Trump is nominated Cash Patel to head the FBI.
The talking point that the left is going with, at least initially, is that he's not qualified
for this position.
Cash was a senior director for counterterrorism in 2019 for the National Security Council.
He was the senior advisor to the acting director of national intelligence.
He was the aide to Representative Devin Nunez, who was on the House Intelligence Committee,
and he was the chief of staff to the acting defense secretary Christopher Miller in the last
months of the Trump administration, overseeing three million employees and two trillion dollars in assets.
He was also a federal prosecutor in the DOJ who dealt with national security cases.
But, yeah, unqualified.
The head of the new Doge Department of Government Efficiency tweeted out that the city of New York
pays $220 million to rent the entire Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan to house illegal aliens.
Turns out this hotel is owned by the government of Pakistan.
Vivek said a taxpayer-funded hotel for illegal aliens is owned by the Pakistani government,
which means New York City taxpayers are paying a foreign government to house illegals in our own country.
This is nuts.
Also worth noting that the other head of the
The Department of Government Officials, Elon Musk, tweeted that in a meeting with senior military officers,
they told me it now takes longer to renovate stairs in the Pentagon, 24 months, renovate,
then to build the entire Pentagon 16 months in the 1940s.
Trump has threatened a 100% tariff on the BRICS nations if they do anything to undermine the US dollar.
The BRIC nations are nine countries, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran,
in the UAE.
Right now,
the BRIC nations are
3.3 billion people,
so 40% of the world's population
and 37% of the world's GDP.
Black Friday shopping,
not in the malls.
Remember the craziness of that?
Like, tickle meelmo,
everyone's trampling each other.
Online sales,
$10.8 billion.
That's a record,
twice as much as just in 2017.
And even on Thanksgiving day,
sales were a record,
6.1 billion,
a 9% increase from last year.
I'm Mike Slater.
from the podcast, Politics by Faith, Bill O'Reilly with your message today.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
The happiest guy around is Thanksgiving has to be Donald Trump.
Not only is he the most powerful person in the world once again, but he has humiliated his
enemies across the board. Special counsel and Trump hater Jack Smith now once federal charges against
Mr. Trump dropped. The New York City fiasco is in ruins as sentencing in a hush money case has been
postponed indefinitely. And the Atlanta election prosecution will soon be dropped. In fact,
D.A. Fonnie Willis will be lucky if she isn't indicted. After that, the collapse of MSNBC and CNN.
the president-elect has scattered his most ardent opponents into the MAGA wind.
So how exactly did that happen? First, Mr. Trump worked harder than any presidential candidate
in history to spread his message that political corruption must cease. Second, he got lucky
with two weak Democrats running against him. Joe Biden is the second worst president in history
as we document in my book, Confronting the Presidents,
and Vice President Harris elevated befuddlement
to the Beavis and Butthead level.
Finally, life helped Donald Trump.
Most Americans and the country in general
was indeed far better off four years ago
when he reluctantly left office.
So the Thanksgiving Party is on at Mar-a-Lago.
So, Trump is back.

Public broadcasting, PBS, NPR, I have to agree.
It is advertising for the Democratic Party.
Why is the taxpayer doing this?
So I've got to call them to Vibak Ramaswami.
And I'm hoping to get them on next week.
This is target number one.
You've got to get this federal money.
I think it's $550 million a year to PBS and NPR.
No.
No.
For what?
That's got to go.
Simon Neal in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mr. O'Reilly, I'm thankful for you this Thanksgiving and the coverage that you provide.
Enjoy the holiday.
And I recommend the Christmas movie a very corgi Christmas.
I'm not seen a very corgi Christmas.
Will you guys, this is to my producers here,
will you guys pull some scenes from a very corgi Christmas.
We'll use them if it's coming up.
Holly and Terry Dog is doing better, by the way.
So for those of you were right in.
Katie Tesmer, Metamora, Michigan.
A lot of Michigan viewers tonight.
My dad was diagnosed with moderate dementia.
He lives in a small memory care home.
And he's reading to pass the time.
Started him on a killing series after we watched the News Nation special on confronting the presidents together and he is devouring them.
Well, I'm really glad I could help your dad.
So we have all of the killing books plus confronting the presidents in one bundle.
All right, that is one of our premier gifts on bill o'Reilly.com and a Christmas store.
That's 14 separate gifts for a very reasonable price.
But more importantly, you know, people who are elderly and this and that, I mean, it really
gives them a lot of joy because the books are fun to read and you learn a lot.
Anyway, best for your dad, Katie, you're a good daughter.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
A government report from the Bureau of Transportation.
shows half of all Americans plan on traveling this Christmas, top destination for folks looking
to flee frigid temperatures, the Caribbean. But unfortunately, a trip to the islands is now more
expensive than ever before. They're the most costly vacation destinations this December.
St. Bart's, the French territory, is packed with luxury villas, five-star hotel,
designer boutiques. It's also frequented by billionaires who show up in Gestavia Harbor on their
giant yachts. The typical trip for a normal human being cost $2,000 for airfare, $10,000 a week
for lodging. Next to Cayman Islands, that tax haven is home to many wealthy people.
In fact, it has the highest per capita income in the world.
A seven-day stay at the Cayman's will set you back $15,000.
Next up, Bermuda.
A little cool in December, the British enclave has some of the most expensive golf courses and restaurants in the world.
Typical hotel costs $2,000 a $1,000.
night. One major benefit for Bermuda is its proximity to the East Coast. Flight from New York
City takes an hour, 45 minutes. Aruba, the small Dutch island has few natural resources. Everything
has flown in from Europe or the USA. The average cost for a family dinner on the so-called
Happy Island of Aruba, $800 just for the chow. That's not so happy. The most expensive
place in the Caribbean, a small island called Mystique. Spiders Reserve for very wealthy people,
Prince William, Mc Jagger, and folks who have too much money for their own good.
Island is not accessible to the general public. Only way to get there is by yacht a private
plane. A weak in Mystique averages $100,000. Wow. And here's something else you might not know.
Inflation and high airline prices are prompting many Americans to consider alternatives.
The best one? Stay home. Back after this.
