It is Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024.
Here's this happening today in America.
pardon all hell to pay boyfriend put in luggage and elton john losing his sight it's all coming up
then bill's going to be here with your message of the day but first many democrats speaking out against
joe's pardoning of his son hunter congressman from ohio landsman said as a father i get it but as someone
who wants people to believe in public service again it's a setback the governor of colorado said i'm
disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country the key points of this pardon are first
it wasn't just a pardon of a specific crime.
It was a pardon on all crimes that he's ever committed, known or unknown,
during an 11-year time period this has never been done before.
And also interesting that Joe happened to know the exact time that Hunter's criminal
enterprising started January 2014, Hunter joined the Burisma Board in Ukraine for $86,000
a month in April of 2014.
The next question is, will Joe pardon himself?
Donald Trump said on true social that there will, quote, be all held to pay if the hostages
held captive by Hamas are not released before he takes office on January 20th.
At least seven of the hostages remaining still by Hamas are American.
This was two days after Hamas released a video of an Israeli-American hostage pleading for
his release.
He's been a prisoner now for over 420 days.
Trump's going to be in France to celebrate the grand opening of Notre Dame Cathedral,
his first overseas trip since he won the election.
McCrone, President of France,
was the first foreign leader to congratulate Trump after his victory.
A Florida woman was accused of putting her boyfriend in a suitcase,
leaving him inside for hours until he died.
She recorded a video of herself, taunting him,
before leaving him inside overnight to suffocate.
Her defense was she was suffering from battered spouse syndrome.
And she said she thought because he had two fingers stuck out of the suitcase,
she thought he could get himself out
even though he was on video saying
I can't breathe seriously
none of those defenses weren't
she was found guilty sentenced to life in prison
Elton John has lost his eyesight
following an eye infection earlier this year
he was at a musical and said I haven't been able to be
at many of the previews because as you know I've lost my eyesight
so it's hard for me to come see it but I love to hear it
he's 77 years old
Elton John played at Donald Trump's wedding with Melania
and he was recently asked
what he thinks about Donald Trump calling Kim Jong-un rocket
man? And Elton Jodd said, I laughed. I thought that was brilliant. I thought, good on you, Donald.
I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message today. Next.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Tuesday already, the world is
rapidly changing because Donald Trump is heading back to the White House, a ceasefire is imminent
in Ukraine, I believe, Iran's economy heading for disaster. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau
couldn't get down Mar-A-Lago fast enough, and Mexico will have to cooperate on the border
or its economy will collapse. The world knows that President Biden's leadership amounted to almost
nothing as he stumbled around getting little done. No one feared him, few even feigned respect.
Outside of immigration and lower prices for consumers, there are too high impact but low visibility
problems I hope President Trump will mitigate. First, the massive government spending that
threatens every single American's well-being. Mr. Trump has already tasked Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswe.
to analyze that. They might start with a half billion taxpayer dollars a year flowing into PBS
NPR. That's simply a scandal. What is a taxpayer getting here? Well, how about a cavalcade
of left-wing propaganda? Let NPR and PBS compete in the marketplace. The second terrible
situation is sugar and food and beverages. It's killing millions of Americans.
Bobby Kennedy Jr. has been put on the case. The Trump administration must force the mammoth food corporations to stop peddling harmful products.
The cliche is it's complicated. Well, not so much. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.

Come on, Bill.
Over the past couple of weeks, I heard you mention Pete Buttigieg's name, not the most glowing terms.
Since back in the days of the O'Reilly Factor, I know you seldom go after a person for personal reason, very rarely.
So I'm curious to why you're not a fan of his.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
On this day, in the year 1800, the U.S. presidential election ended with an electoral tie.
The race was ultimately decided by Congress and led to the murder of one America's Revolutionary War heroes.
Here is the story of Thomas Jefferson v. Aaron Burr.
At the time, each member of the Electoral College cast two votes, making no distinction between ballots
or president and vice president, so opposing parties could be elected together.
Jefferson and Burr each received 73 electoral votes in 1800.
Under Article 2 of the Constitution, the contest was then sent to the House.
Each of the 16 states would cast one vote to pick the next president.
On February 11th, 1801, Jefferson and Burr lobbied Congress with promises of lucrative positions and stuff like that.
One week later, lawmakers selected Thomas Jefferson to lead the Young Republic.
Alexander Hamilton of New York, the former Treasury Secretary under Washington, played a key role in breaking the deadlock.
Final tally was 10 states for Jefferson, four Burr to refuse to vote.
The 12th Amendment quickly follow the electoral crisis.
Going forward, the college would cast separate votes for president and vice president.
But that was in the future.
Thomas Jefferson was president and Aaron Bird vice president in 1801.
And they did not like each other.
And here's something else you might not know.
Hamilton's role in handing the election to Jefferson would eventually lead to his death.
Aaron Burr was furious, often claiming the election was stolen from him.
A few years later, Burr ran for governor of New York, and Hamilton opposed him there.
The two men agreed to a duel to settle the rivalry.
On July 11, 1804, Aaron Burr shot and killed.
Hamilton in New Jersey. Thomas Jefferson was re-elected president five months later,
but Burr was out completely. Back after this.
