Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
It is Thursday, December 5th, 2024.
Here's what's happening today in America.
CEO murdered, funding blocked, Russian stowaway, and song, not gay.
That's all coming up, then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, the CEO of United Healthcare, Brian Thompson, was murdered on the sidewalk in Manhattan by a guy with a gun.
The assassin?
I say that because it looks to be targeted, then sped away on a bike.
He was last seen going into Central Park.
Detactors believe a phone found in the alley that the gunman ran through may have belonged to the murderer.
Police also found a bottle of water.
that they believe the gunman purchased
just minutes before shooting this man
at a Starbucks around the corner.
Police believe he is experienced with guns.
It jammed, it looks like, three times,
but the murderer quickly and calmly cleared
at the jams.
This happened at 6.44 in the morning.
The CEO's wife said there have been
threats made against her husband recently.
United Health Care is a part of United Health Group,
which is America's largest insurance company.
CNN reported that the company's security
said the entire leadership team,
a United Healthcare Group,
is supported by an in-house health.
security team.
Mike Johnson,
Speaker of the House,
a house, which by the way
has a one-person
Republican majority,
said that there will be
no new funding for Ukraine
in the remaining
less than two months
of the Biden administration.
Johnson said we have a newly
elected president
and we're going to wait
and take the new
commander-in-chief's
direction on this.
A Russian woman
snuck her way
onto a delta flight
from New York to Paris.
This is the Tuesday
before Thanksgiving.
She did it without a boarding pass.
She was able to get
through security
and bypassed two
identity verification stations to board the flight.
Police were waiting when the plane landed in Paris.
Apparently, she snuck past the known crew member checkpoint at JFK.
And then at the gate, she placed herself in the middle of a big family that was all boarding together.
And she would go between bathroom to bathroom during the flight.
That still doesn't explain it to me, like how this is possible.
Like the rest of us still have to take off our shoes.
It's scolded if my toothpaste is too big, but this woman's able to sneak on a plane.
Victor Willis is the writer of the song YMCA for the village people.
He's the policeman, sometimes the guy in the Navy.
And he said at first he was against Trump using this song, but then he saw how Trump was actually
enjoying it.
So he thought, ah, what the heck, we'll let him use it.
I'm sure money's a factor here.
The song is now for the third week in a row, the number one dance song in America.
The writer also said that YMCA is not a gay song.
He said, when I wrote Hang Out with All the Boys, he was talking about playing basketball.
I'm Mike Slater from the podcast, Politics by Faith Bill O'Reilly with your message
at the day.
Next.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Thursday, some guys never learn, and it seems I may be one of them, seeking to
protect my sanity, I've cut down on my cable news watching because I rarely learn anything
and the presentations are largely dull, unless I'm on, of course. But there I am the other
night watching James Carville on MSNBC. Why? Because the Islander game hadn't started yet.
The octogenarian is still a lively presence with a lack of self-awareness that is absolutely startling.
The topic is Trump's cabinet picks.
James doesn't like them.
Shocker.
NBC News doesn't like them.
The guy who drives James to the studio probably does like them, but he doesn't count.
Only liberal ideology counts on the NBC News airwaves.
Now, if I had been interviewing Mr. James, I would have asked about President Biden's department heads.
Does Carville believe Homeland Security Chief Alejandro Mayorkis has done a good job?
He told the nation the border is secure.
Does Carville believe the border is secure?
How about Transportation Secretary, the mighty Pete Buttigieg?
Has he done anything to stem the airline chaos?
Anything at all?
James, over to you.
That's not what aboutism.
I hate that.
No, this is about honesty in presenting news analysis.
Well, it's my fault. I watch cable news. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Not a mail. P.K. Joe Biden's part of his son, Hunter, seals his corrupt legacy. Progressive Democrats who supported him and used him as their puppet will suffer greatly. Okay? I agree with that. He's going out on a low note, bud.
Shelly, part of me that hurts for Joe Biden.
I trusted him.
I thought he was a good guy.
I hate to see him go down like this.
But as they say, if you make your bed, you have to lie in it.
Steve Foreman, Missouri, Valley, Iowa.
I too believe Biden's legacy is tarnished forever in our nation's history.
Tarnished for many reasons, but mostly for harming our country.
It leaves us in a more weakened state than when he came into office.
office. No question about that. No question. That we have deteriorated both domestically and
foreign under Biden. And that is the art stick. Ray Rothenbuker, Fountain Hills, Arizona.
Hey, Bill, do you think Donald Trump will pardon really Giuliani? There's no federal case against
Giuliani. It's all civil, defamation, and state bar, legal stuff.
So, President can only pardon federal cases.
Can't intervene in anything else?
Which is wise, right?
We don't want the president having that much power.
Wendy Tichk, Cortez, Colorado.
President Biden parting his son doesn't bother me.
It's the scope of the pardon.
Can the president actually pardon someone for crimes not yet charged?
Yeah, that's called the Blanket Pardon.
It's what Gerald Ford, the president, did with Richard Nixon.
Nixon wasn't charged.
He resigned.
But there were people who wanted them charged.
Obstruction of justice, on and on and on.
And Ford said, no, blanket pardon for Richard Nixon.
So a president can do that.
He's got the power.
In a moment, something you might not know.
Power, politics, and the people behind.
the headlines. I'm Miranda Devine, New York Post columnist and the host of the brand new podcast,
Podforce One. Every week I'll sit down for candid conversations with Washington's most powerful

week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcast. You don't want to miss an
episode. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. The 2024 election
already having an impact on the culture war. Some national corporations are eliminating diversity,
equity and inclusion. Here are a few big brands dropping DEI. Harley Davidson, motorcycles,
Ford, John Deere, Coors Beer, Lowe's Hardware, Toyota.
But the biggest of all, Walmart.
America's largest retailer released the following statement last week, quote,
We've been on a journey and no we aren't perfect,
but every decision comes from a place of wanting to foster a sense of belonging
to open doors, to opportunities for all our associates, customers, and suppliers,
and to be a Walmart for everyone, unquote.
Going forward, the company will cease hiring based on race,
eliminate diversity mandates,
and stop marketing products that promote inappropriate
or transgender products for children.
All of that is a very positive thing for America,
especially the skin color decision.
by Walmart. This country should aspire to true equality. Everyone gets a chance based on
their accomplishments and experience. That's called meritocracy. Training and discipline are the
keys to success in the marketplace. Public schooling needs to get back to teaching the children
about how to succeed and stopping all the victimization based on race, color, and creed.
That is destructive, and that is what DEI encourages.
So, with the election of Donald Trump and the country becoming more traditional in the process,
all it is woke business is on the run it is wrong we all should have an equal shot in america
