Starting point is 00:00:30 rhinos in the way, last minute blows, major earthquake, and is Belichick back? It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message today, but first, Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst said she has not yet ready to support Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense. She said, I did have a very long, lengthy discussion with Pete yesterday, and I do appreciate a service to the nation. I'm a combat veteran, so we talked about a number of issues, and we will continue with the vetting process.
Starting point is 00:00:58 I think that is incredibly important. Ernst should be noted, voted for Lloyd Austin to be Biden's Secretary of Defense. Joni Ernst has been the senator from Iowa for 10 years. She was elected in 2014. That was coming off of the two Obama wins in Iowa. Obama won by 10 points and then 8 points in Iowa. But since then, Trump won Iowa by 10 points, then 8 points, and in this most recent election, 13 points. Some Democratic senators are lobbying Biden to get as many illegal aliens into the country as possible
Starting point is 00:01:29 and do what he can to protect them in the last month and a half of his presidency. Senators Masto from Nevada, Lujan from New Mexico, and Padilla in California sent a letter to Biden asking him to allow hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens enrolled in the DACA program to extend their status for the maximum amount of time allowed by DHS and to redesignate several countries for temporary protected status so that newly arrived illegal aliens from those countries can stay even longer than they would otherwise be granted. There was a 7-0 earthquake in Northern California yesterday. There's only about 15 of those
Starting point is 00:02:08 are felt every year around the entire world. This was the 12th strongest earthquake ever felt in California since 1906. The epicenter was 50 miles south of Eureka, California, which is way up north. Fortunately, not a lot of people there. The former head coach of the New England Patriots apparently interviewed for the head coaching job
Starting point is 00:02:27 at Football Powerhouse, UNC, University of North Carolina, they're 500 all-time in the ACC. They lost their last four bowl games. They're currently ranked 13 of 17 in their conference. Belichick is 72. He hasn't coached since he left the Patriots after 24 seasons earlier this year. I'm Mike Slater with the podcast, Politics by Faith.
Starting point is 00:02:52 The great Bill O'Reilly, he's got your message of the day. Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. Starting point is 00:04:06 On this Friday, the other day I was interviewed by La Express Magazine out of Paris, France. Fairly well-known publication throughout Europe that covers American politics on a regular basis. My takeaway from the Q&A is that most Europeans, including the press over there, have little concept of how working Americans actually think and live. The French get bombarded with Trump bombast without context. It's obviously easy to demonize any politician, and that's what is happening in Europe with Donald Trump. Now, the EU media is largely left of center, just like it is here, and it's not very interested in American problems like high consumer prices and chaos at the border. The European media is dialed into Ukraine and the Middle East, but generally speaking, it is very limited in its understanding of how Americans view those situations.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Thus, many Europeans do not understand why President Trump is back, why he won the election. They have been giving little information on the disastrous Biden administration, and obviously haven't lived it as we have. I think I provided some insight, and when the Le Express article is printed, we'll post the translated version on Bill O'Reilly.com. As our worldwide profile continues to grow on YouTube, I will likely do more foreign press. It's needed. I'm Bill O'Reilly.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Name in town, if you wish to opine. All right, YouTube tonight, my commentary is on Jesus. I am bringing Jesus to YouTube. Now, you've got to listen to this.

Starting point is 00:06:36 I don't know. But I hope you watch it. And then let me know what you think. All right. So you can write to me at bill at bill o'Reilly.com. easy is that. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name and town. Still getting mail, no names and towns. And some of them are good, but I can't use them. Okay, that's YouTube. Let's go to the mail. John Brotterer, Kurt Elaine, Idaho. Beautiful town, beautiful lake. John says, I'm glad you pointed
Starting point is 00:07:05 out, O'Reilly, that Mexico is our enemy. Some of us old guys have been trying to say that for years. I'm amazed how many people don't understand. One of my acquaintances recently bought property in Mexico. Not a good investment. If the cartel wants that property, it's going to take it. Michael Wilson, Marshall, Illinois. Couldn't President Trump designated the drug cartels as terror groups? Would not be able to have the USA deal with them? I've been sent in it for years. and Trump almost did it last time because I told him this is how you do it
Starting point is 00:07:41 I suggested to him I don't tell him in a moment something you might not know power politics and the people behind the headlines I'm Miranda Devine New York Post columnist

These are the phrases, ever want to hear again circle back often used in white house briefings it is banal b a nal president biden's famous catchphrase here's the deal how about this from the media deep dive oh oh painful now
Starting point is 00:09:35 major news outlet referred to the 2024 election as a, quote, perfect storm. Next, to go at the end of the day. What day? Thursday? Please stop it, especially you athletes. But the newscasters say it too. Another very lazy expression, it is what it is. Oh, I don't know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:10:10 How about? I'll be honest, which implies that you're not honest most of the time. Sorry, not sorry. Sorry, you are a moron. Other cliches that need to disappear, game changer, we'll see the new normal, slam dunk, probably the most overused phrase in the English language, by the way. What way? Where? Stop saying, by the way. And if you're wondering why we live in the
Starting point is 00:10:51 United States of cliches, one culprit is the collapsing public education system. In New York City, taxpayers spend $31,000 for students. every year and many of them can't even speak proper English back in a moment.
