Here's a happening this week in America. Rhinos in the way. Last-minute blows, major earthquake, and is Belichick back? It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message today. But first, Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst said she is not yet ready to support Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense. She said, I did have a very long, lengthy discussion with Pete yesterday,
Starting point is 00:00:52 and I do appreciate his service to the nation. I'm a combat veteran, so we talked about a number of issues, and we will continue with the vetting process. I think that is incredibly important. Ernst should be noted, voted for Lloyd Austin to be Biden's Secretary of Defense. Jonah Ernst has been the senator from Iowa for 10 years. She was elected in 2014. That was coming off of the two Obama wins in Iowa. Obama won by 10 points and then 8 points in Iowa. But since then Trump won Iowa by 10 points, then 8 points, and in this most recent election, 13 points. some Democratic senators are lobbying Biden to get as many illegal aliens into the country as possible and do what he can to protect them in the last month and a half of his presidency.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Senators Masto from Nevada, Lujan from New Mexico, and Padilla in California sent a letter to Biden asking him to allow hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens enrolled in the DACA program to extend their status for the maximum amount of time allowed by DHS and to redesignate several countries for temporary protected status so that newly arrived to do aliens from those countries can stay even longer than they would otherwise be granted.
Starting point is 00:02:03 There was a 7-0 earthquake in Northern California yesterday. There's only about 15 of those are felt every year around the entire world. This was the 12th strongest earthquake ever felt in California since 1906. The epicenter was 50 miles south of Eureka, California, which is way up north.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Fortunately, not a lot of people there. The former head coach of the New England Patriots apparently interviewed for the head coaching job at football powerhouse UNC. University of North Carolina, they're 500 all-time in the ACC. They lost their last four bowl games. They're currently ranked 13 of 17 in their conference. Belichick is 72. He hasn't coached since he left the Patriots after 24 seasons earlier this year.
Starting point is 00:02:50 I'm Mike Slater with the podcast Politics by Faith. The great Bill O'Reilly, he's got your message of the day. Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver. Already the world is rapidly changing because Donald Trump is heading back to the White House. A ceasefire is imminent in Ukraine, I believe. Iran's economy heading for disaster. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau couldn't get. get down Amar Alago fast enough, and Mexico will have to cooperate on the border or its economy will collapse. The world knows that President Biden's leadership amounted to almost nothing as he stumbled
Starting point is 00:04:38 around getting little done. No one feared him, few even feigned respect. Outside of immigration and lower prices for consumers, there are too high impact but low visibility problems, I hope President Trump will mitigate. First, the massive government spending that threatens every single American's well-being. Mr. Trump has already tasked Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to analyze that. They might start with the half-billion taxpayer dollars a year flowing into PBS and PR. That's simply a scandal. What is a taxpayer getting here?
Starting point is 00:05:23 Well, how about a cavalcade of left-wing propaganda? Let NPR and PBS compete in the marketplace. The second terrible situation is sugar in food and beverages. It's killing millions of Americans. Bobby Kennedy Jr. has been put on the case. The Trump administration must force the mammoth food corporations to stop peddling harmful products. The cliche is it's complicated.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Well, not so much. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town, if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail. We got to Anna Don't Sin, Houston, Texas.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Bill, your predictions, analysis, and understanding of current events globally are astounding. Just as you predicted, Biden pardoned his son. you for noticing Anna. That was before, of course, Anna, heard my commentary. Kathy Ledbetter, Newark, California, if Biden, the first president of pardon a family member. No. President Clinton, pardon his half-brother. Roger, who was a grifter, did all kinds of little things like that. Bill Lally. Now, Bill did not send a town, but I'm going to read his email anyway. Name and town. Come on, Bill. Over the past couple of weeks, I heard you mention Pete Buttigieg's name, not the most glowing terms.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Since back in the days of the O'Reilly Factor, I know you seldom will go after a person for personal reason, very rarely. So I'm curious to why you're not a fan of his. Bill, have you gotten on an airplane the last five years? It's absurd. Insane. That's Buttigieg. What has he done to improve it? Come on, you've got to hold these people accountable.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Donald Guptill, Cornwall, Vermont. Bill, you asked why anyone would watch corporate news. I watch you every day, get the real news, but I also have NBC on because I want to get my local weather. Okay, I understand that. I'm talking more about the national broadcasts. So if you're sitting there watching cable news every night, and the nightly news, you know, at 6.6.30 whenever it comes on in your area, you're wasting your time.
Starting point is 00:08:00 You're wasting it. Starting point is 00:08:40 The 2024 election already having an impact on the culture war. Some national corporations are eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion. Here are a few big brands dropping, D-E-I. Harley-Davidson, motorcycles, Ford, John Deere, Coors Beer, Lowe's Hardware, Toyota. But the biggest of all, Walmart. America's largest retailer released the following statement last week, quote, We've been on a journey, and no, we aren't perfect, but every decision comes from a place of wanting to foster a sense of belonging
Starting point is 00:09:19 to open doors to opportunities for all our associates, customers, and suppliers, and to be a Walmart for everyone, unquote. Going forward, the company will cease hiring based on race, eliminate diversity mandates, and stop marketing products that promote inappropriate or transgender products for children. All of that is a very positive thing for America, especially the skin color decision by Walmart. This country should aspire to true equality. Everyone gets a chance based on their accomplishments and experience. That's called meritocracy. Training and discipline are the keys to success in the marketplace. Public schooling needs to get back to teaching the children about how to succeed
Starting point is 00:10:27 and stopping all the victimization based on race, color, and creed. That is destructive, and that is what D.E.I. encourages. So, with the election of Donald Trump and the country becoming more traditional in the process, all it is woke business is on the run. It is wrong. We all should have an equal shot in America.
