holidays. Also ahead, the message on buying votes. But first, Department of Justice Inspector
General Michael Horowitz releasing his report on the FBI's investigation into the 2016
Trump campaign, finding the FBI likely manipulated key documents to justify
surveillance. The release comes days after the House Judiciary Committee says it will vote on
articles of impeachment against President Trump over his dealings with Ukraine. So the political
chaos in Washington continues. Billionaire Mike Bloomberg running for president,
apologizing to Cory Booker after calling his rival, well-spoken. Some critics say the expression has
racial overtones. The senator apparently agrees saying he was stunned and taken aback by the
comments. Bloomberg says Cory Booker is a, quote, friend of mine, but he might rethink that.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day, the Democratic Party, and the American worker.
You may have noticed that France is now besieged by labor problems.
The country is in chaos as almost one million people are in the streets,
protesting the government wanting to change the pension system. Why? Because it is
bankrupting France. Now, there are 67 million French citizens. About 80 million, 85 million in the
country. In the USA, there are 330 million. Yet, the Democrats are promising entitlements like they have
in France for workers. How did we get here? In 1946, right after World War II, under pressure
from the growing French communist movement, Charles de Gaulle, the president, allowed a vast
giveaway to French workers. Today, 35 hours a week is the law. If you work any more than that,
they have to pay you a colossal amount of overtime. Your employer has to cover
your public transportation costs to and from work. You get 16 weeks of paid maternity leave.
You get health care. And you get a lavish pension very early. The unemployment rate in France,
8.4%. Here in the USA, 3.5%. Now, the French workers are angry because Emmanuel Macron, the president,
wants to change the pension system because the government really can't pay it.
They are running up record debt in France.
The current system says that most French workers can retire at age 62.
However, if you're a train conductor, you can leave your job at 52.
Public utility employee, 57.
If you are a member of the National Ballet, you can retire at age 42.
On average, pensioners receive 75% of their earnings right before they quit, meaning a train conductor
can earn more than 100,000 euros at age 52 for the rest of his or her life.
France spends 14% of their entire gross domestic product on pensions, and they can't afford it any longer.
However, the workers say, hey, that's your problem, not mine, and we're going to disrupt
activities all over the country if you try to cut back.
Enter the USA with the Democratic Party is basically promising workers everything.
They want the French system.
But again, we have five times as many people as they have in France.
And we have a $23 trillion debt already.
So if those entitlements were ever enacted in the USA, this country would go bankrupt.
Yet the Democratic Party says, no, no, no, we'll tax the rich, will tax corporations, which would
lead to higher unemployment, and more benefits, unemployment, food stamps like that from the
government. So that's what's going on. Think about it next November.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
The modern music industry is very different from the early days of record sales and concert tickets.
These days, more than 90% of listeners tune in digitally through streaming services, satellite radio, or YouTube.
For most artists, it's nearly impossible to earn a buck by records.
Back in 2000, physical sales sets vinyl, CDs, audio cassettes, raked in more than $13 billion.
In 2018, that number dropped to this $900 million, a 93% decline.
Despite the hardship, a handful of artists still managed to strike it rich by touring.
Here, the highest earning concert acts this year is listed by Forbes magazine.
Number 10 goes to Metallica, taking in more than $68 million.
The band formed 38 years ago, has been touring ever since.
Next up, hip-hop artist Diddy, followed by Drake.
The two earned more than $70 million each.
Beyonce tied with her husband, Jay-Z.
The Power Couple earned $81 million for a successful concert tour.
A couple of old-timers making the top five, The Eagles, and Elton John.
Both acts took in $100 million this year.
Elton John hit a major payday for his successful motion picture Rocket Man as well.
British musician Ed Sheerun earned $110 million.
Singer had a role as Eddie on HBO's Game of Thrones, but the cameo is hated by his fans.
Eddie was ultimately killed by Dragon Fire. Poor guy.
Kanye West at number two, the rapper taking in more than 150 million in 2019.
Through his clothing line, ticket sales, and recent gospel album, Jesus is King.
Top spot goes to Taylor Swift, the pop star earning 185 million in the last 12 months from a new record deal and sold-out tour.
But here's something you might not know.
Ms. Swift is currently in a legal battle with her old label on whether she can actually perform her own songs on stage.
SARS-Hitlis is no longer under her control, belongs to another music executive.
So Swift can actually get sued for singing the songs that made her famous.
Back after this.
