Here's what's happening this week in America, latest on the terrible crash. RFK hearing, take two, gun law overturned, and Dems are in a giant hole. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the National Transportation Safety Board, which is leading the investigation into the crash at Reagan Airport, said that the plane's flight data and voice recorders, known as the Black Box, has been recovered.

The NTSB hopes to have a preliminary report ready within 30 days. Someone who serves in the same unit as that Army Black Hawk crew and who knew the victims personally and has flown this route many times said that this was a training flight and these types of training flights are not unusual at all. They're flown almost every day. The co-pilot was going through her annual evaluation for night flying. out to a couple different Black Hawk helicopter pilots who said that these night vision goggles require a lot of training. It's a very perishable skill. And one of the difficult things when you're

wearing them is depth perception. And also runway 33. This is where the regional jet was landing is not used nearly as often as runway one. And the people on the Blackhawk appear to have confused the passenger jet with another plane that was on runway one. RFK Jr. had his second and final committee hearing yesterday. And it really comes down to one Republican. The Help Committee, it's the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. There's 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats. If one Republican votes against RFK moving to the floor, then that's it. He doesn't go to the floor. And it comes down to Senator Bill Cassidy. He's the top Republican in that committee's from Louisiana. He said he's, quote, struggling with the nomination of Kennedy due to his vaccine

positions. Bill Cassidy is a gastroenterologist by trade. The Gun Control Act says that shotguns and rifles, an ammunition for shotguns and rifles, can be sold to anyone 18 years or older. But anything other than a shotgun or rifle, handgun, can only be sold to people 21 and older. Well, a three-judge panel in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that that is unconstitutional. The ruling concluded that people include 18, 19, and 20-year-olds too. The gun control Act was passed in 1968. I've never seen a poll like this in my life. It's never been this bad.

A Quinnipiac poll, 31% of voters have a favorable opinion of the Democratic Party. 31%, 57 unfavorable. That's 26 points underwater for the Democrats. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, Message of the Day. President Trump has an extremely difficult decision to make. There is mounting evidence that Joe Biden took tainted money from his son and brother when he was vice president. No such gain is listed on Mr. Biden's tax returns. Now, that description is not a conviction. The former president is presumed innocent and has denied any wrongdoing. But the American people are absolutely

entitled to know the truth, even if millions of them don't want to know that, for ideological reasons. Only President Trump can clarify the situation. The FBI and IRS would have to conduct a joint investigation in order to secure hard evidence against the former president. Mr. Trump well knows if that happens, the corrupt media will hang a vengeance sign around his neck. Nevertheless, under the banner of equal justice, Joe Biden's finances should be scrutinized. This country simply cannot tolerate grifting in powerful political precincts. Going forward, Congressman James Comey and Jim Jordan will continue to investigate Mr. Biden, and both have publicly stated they believe the former president did take secretive payments.

But Congress cannot prosecute the case. Only the Justice Department can do that. And so it is up to President Trump to order the pro. he has not yet addressed the matter directly. Will Mr. Trump seek the truth about Joe Biden? I think so, but I could be wrong, because as we all know, all hell will break out if he does. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. Bill, you're correct that Trump's Department of Justice should investigate Joe Biden. But let him get his major campaign promises done first. Maybe by year's end, they could choose a special prosecutor to look at Biden. That's reasonable.

The reason the Department of Justice pardon everyone in the J6 investigation is simple, the J6 committee destroyed all the records, which may or may not have contained exculpatory evidence. J6 committee had nothing to do with the prosecutions on January 6th. Nothing. That was a congressional committee, and they were in business, to try to persuade Americans that Donald Trump wanted the insurrection to capital. So, yeah, they may have destroyed evidence, but it had nothing to do with the prosecutions.

That was a total Justice Department operation. Congress didn't have any prosecutorial perils. So people don't understand that. Lana, I'd rather have President Trump spend all his energy effort and time restoring normality to our country. It's only four years that's focused on fixing the border. We don't need to go after Biden. We do for historical reasons. Cannot have a sitting vice president and president taking bribes.

Can't. Okay, that's how important this is. Nancy, in Joe Biden's word, nobody is above the law. That includes Donald Trump. that includes him as well. Investigate and prosecute. After 900 days, the Soviet forces liberated their own city from Nazi Germany. Here is a story behind the siege of Leningrad. The fight began in September 1941. The people of Leningrad, formerly known as St. Petersburg, before the country, communist revolution, successfully repel the Germans, but then the Vermak, the Nazi army,

encircled the city. As a result, three million Russians were cut off from supplies and reinforcements. The Third Reich bombarded the town with artillery every night. Within 12 months, 700,000 civilians had starved to death. The 500,000 were killed in combat. The misery lasted nearly three years. Stalin's forces launched a counteroffensive in the winter of 1944. On January 27th, the communists broke the German lines. The Nazis retreated west toward their homeland, never to attack Leningrad again. The victory emboldened the Soviet population and demoralized Germany.

After the defeat at Stalingrad one year earlier, It was the second time Adolf Hitler had to publicly acknowledge losing a major battle to the Soviets. In total, a siege of Leningrad claimed the lives of 200,000 German soldiers, 1 million Soviet troops, and 1 million Russian civilians. Can you believe the numbers there? And here's something else you might not know. The siege of Leningrad had a profound effect on the current leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Both of Bad Blad's parents participated in the battle. His mother worked in a munitions factory.

Putin's father was part of a sabotage and destruction unit carrying out covert missions behind enemy lines. Putin's older brother, Victor, died during the conflict from malnutrition. Born eight years after the battle, young Vlad spent his early life walking in the ruins of Leningrad, something he carried with him for the rest of his life. Back after this.
