Starting point is 00:00:00 Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater. Thank you, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. Hero Dad, her to testify, a brand new wall and an impressive rap sheet. That is all coming up. And then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
Starting point is 00:00:24 But first, the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Parade, three have been arrested, two of them, are juveniles under 18. Police say it was a personal dispute between several people in the crowd that ended in gunfire. One 43-year-old woman was killed, a local radio DJ, 22 injured, including 11 children. Well, the best tackle of the year by the chiefs was Trey Filter. He was on video tackling one of the gunmen as he ran away through the crowd. He's a father of two from Wichita.
Starting point is 00:00:53 We'll take every opportunity here to highlight heroism when it happens. He said, quote, there was a lot of commotion. I could definitely tell that someone was being chased. I couldn't see much, but I heard someone say, get him. I saw a flash next to me, and I remember I jumped it. I remember thinking, I hope this is the guy who they were talking about. He and another man held down that gunman for a good 20 seconds before police arrived, as this man was obviously trying to wrestle away for his life.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Well done, Trey. Special counsel Robert Hur. This is the man who wrote in a special report that Biden did indeed willfully keep classified documents, but that there was no use charging with a crime because a jury would find him a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory. Well, he's going to testify in front of a House Judiciary Committee on March 12th. House Republicans are also asking for the Department of Justice to release any recordings, notes, or summaries of the special counsel's interview with Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Well, a wall is being built. It's just not in America. Egypt is building a massive two-mile-wide buffer between them and Gaza, according to new satellite images. Israel is planning a new ground defensive in the area where now more than half of the Gaza population is sheltering 1.5 million people. And Egypt says, nope, not coming in here.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Satellite images show a massive area that has been bulldozed and multiple cranes laying new sections of a wall that's 16 feet tall. The president of Israel says that this area in Gaza is Hamas' last bastion. Do you remember the illegal immigrants who beat up the two police officers in Times Square the other day.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Seven were arrested. Five were released without bail. You remember three of them leaving the courthouse and flipping you off. One was released after his bail was paid for by a sanctuary church in Brooklyn. But one of those illegal immigrants was arrested again for stealing from a Macy's and Queens. He was with a group of illegal immigrants, a security guard stopped him, and he got punched in the face. So this illegal immigrant has been arrested twice in two weeks after, of course, breaking the law to even get here. Pretty impressive.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I'm Mike Slater. The great Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. Starting point is 00:04:11 Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. It is called Emotional Protection, a device mechanism designed to get us through life. When things go badly or our fundamental beliefs are threatened, We often retreat from rationality. And most of us don't even realize we're doing that. The most vivid example I can illustrate is the Joe Biden supporter. Exit polling in 2020 clearly showed
Starting point is 00:04:43 that Mr. Biden's primary appeal to voters was that he was running against Donald Trump. The election was actually a plebiscite up-and-down vote on Trump. Biden was simply a name that could banish the flamboyant former president. Now, today, President Biden is a five-alarm fire. A leader so compromised and befuddled, it is shocking. But some will not acknowledge that obvious fact. They have embraced emotional protection. The unintended consequences of fleeing reality, is that reality will eventually knock on your door bearing very bad news.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Should Joe Biden extend his administration passed next January? Americans will suffer. It's just a matter of how much. That analysis is certain, just so the supporters of Joe know. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Let's go to the mail. Brent.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Concierge member, thank you, Brent. Merrick Garland's a party stooge masquerading his attorney general, so it is more surprising that he signed off on her report. That's got a loyal sycophant that Garland is facing retribution from the White House shows just how corrupt and ungrateful they are.
Starting point is 00:06:23 We don't know that for sure. That is the report, But I think that's probably true. Michael, I may be crazy, but I think letting Biden off the documents charge by accusing him of senility is a brilliant strategy on the part of the Dems. No. That did not help the Democratic Party or President Biden. Lloyd, President Trump, should not have said anything about Nikki Haley's husband.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Are there any briefers that can tell him before speech? No. He just, there's no briefers. He doesn't have, it's not a teleprompter. He just, whatever comes in, comes out. Alice, Trump lost thousands of votes with those two stupid remarks, the other one, NATO. What is wrong with him? You know, he just doesn't have any impulse control at this point.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Andrew, with guard to Trump being arrogant and egotistical, well, is he alone in this regard? No, but what? What difference does that make? He's the best chance to get rid of this Biden progressive crew. The matter if he's not alone. Stephanie Bonds, Highland Village, Texas. Your truth teller O'Reilly in your latest column Dancing with Dementia regarding Jill Biden, putting our country at risk is spot on.
Starting point is 00:07:46 I'm glad you read it. It's available to anybody. You don't have to be a member of anything. Starting point is 00:08:46 one of the most important issues of the 2024 election. While the current crisis involves migrants, reaching the border. A record number of people are also leaving the USA. According to the State Department, there are now 10 million American citizens living overseas. Here is where you will find them. France and Germany each have an expat community of about 100,000 Americans. The population is closely linked to the U.S. military. Same with South Korea, home to 150,000 service members and their families. 200,000 Yanks live in the United Kingdom. There are 13 Air Force bases in the UK.
Starting point is 00:09:33 The surrounding towns cater to the Colonials, with brands like Uncle Sam's hamburgers, Dunkin' Donuts, even a national bowling chain called Liberty Lanes. Three hundred thousand Americans have migrated to Israel. 1950, any Jewish person in the world has the right of return and full Israeli citizenship. Jerusalem will even pay for your flight. The countries where you can find the most Americans are in North America. One million expats live in Canada, 1.6 in Mexico. Both destinations have become less popular in recent years as folks flee high. high taxes and cartel violence down south.
