But Mexico changed their mind. Trump wrote, I just spoke with the president of Mexico. It was a very friendly conversation where she agreed to immediately supply 10,000 Mexican soldiers on the border. These soldiers will be specifically designated to stop the flow of fentanyl and illegal
Starting point is 00:01:12 migrants into our country. We agreed to immediately pause the tariffs for a one-month period. Mexico also yesterday arrested a cartel leader. Coincidence? The Prime Minister of Canada, Trudeau, said he just got off the phone with Trump, and Canada is implementing our 1.3 billion. dollar border plan new helicopters technology personnel all to stop the flow of fentanyl nearly 10,000 frontline personnel also appointing a fentanyl czar and they will list cartels as terrorists ensuring 24-7
Starting point is 00:01:44 eyes on the border and launch a Canada-U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. He said he's back and this with $200 million. The tariffs on a pause for 30 days. Two major victories for Trump there. has completely eliminated USAID, that is the United States Agency for International Development. Elon said it became apparent that it's not an apple with a worm in it. What we have is just a ball of worms. You've got to get rid of the whole thing. It is beyond repair.
Starting point is 00:02:17 He said USAID is a criminal organization. It's time for it to die. Marco Rubio said he is conducting a full review. And until then, he is the new acting director of USAID. He appointed Pete Moroco as the czar in charge for now. A former USAID official said he's not just a disruptor, he's a destroyer. Walsuit Journal is reporting that the White House is preparing an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education, to shut down all functions of the agency that are not explicitly
Starting point is 00:02:51 written into law, and they can move other functions to other departments. The order also calls for a piece of legislation to completely. abolish the department. Every Republican president since Ronald Reagan has promised to do exactly that. On this Tuesday, a woman named Peggy Noonan is a Wall Street Journal columnist who once wrote speeches for Ronald Reagan. She does not, like Donald Trump. She sees him as a Bulgarian interloper, a disruptor of political and social traditions. As a news analyst, she is entitled to believe what she wants to believe. And Peggy Noonan begins her column this week in the journal with the word I, never a good literary sign,
Starting point is 00:04:26 and there are many eyes in that piece. Using the always handy anonymous sources, Ms. Noonan posits that the political class in Washington, both Republicans and Democrats, are uneasy with President Trump. And that's true. The man is unpredictable and has scorned for the D.C. establishment, which again, Ms. Noonan seems to respect.
Starting point is 00:04:52 The truth is that Washington is a corrupt place that needs a complete, overhaul. Somehow, that hasn't yet penetrated the mind of Peggy Noonan. President Trump is not always right, as Matt Gates and RFK Jr. prove, but his mission is solid. Remove far-left zealots masquerading as public servants, stop other countries from fleecing us, strengthen national security. Ronald Reagan would certainly approve. Obviously, the swamp and President Trump are incompatible, and the Reaper is back with a vengeance. Game on.
Starting point is 00:05:32 I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail. Michael Long, West Lebanon, New Hampshire.

RFK Jr. shows knowledge and dedication to transforming HHS. Okay. I'm not going to argue with the change, but I am going to argue with the vehicle of. This is posted with no name, so I can't read it. It's an anti-Kennedy thing.
Starting point is 00:06:19 But I had it, but it has no name, so I can't read it. Don Marr, Wilberham, Massachusetts, if the Senate fails to concern, RFK, Jr., can Trump try to appoint him as a recess deal? No. Senate votes you down, you're out. No research date. The recess is only if they won't vote. Matt Mixon, Warnsburg, Missouri, subject to Tulsi Gabbard, supporting Edward Soman, a merely an armchair observer. But I think of verbal support for him stem from all the corruption she witnessed in the government.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Look, she had a chance to repudiate Snowden in the hearing. She would not. No doubt about it. Man's a traitor. Paul Leespie's Clark, New Jersey. I think Donald Trump made a huge mistake by withdrawing security protection for former cabinet members
Starting point is 00:07:07 under the government officials. Why place a former official at risk? A little petty? I'm not going to argue. Who was? John Holland, Rockledge, Pennsylvania. You said you were good with Trump's explanation of the drones, but I don't understand. understand why it took so long. Look, there's something that doesn't add up on the drone thing.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Do I think it's important? No. If I did, I would pursue it, but it doesn't really stack. In a moment, something you might not know. The best coast just got better. Under the previous system, based on the Articles of Confederation, The national government was headed by Congress. There was no president. In January 1789, that all changed. 69 electors cast their ballot for George Washington, making him the president in a unanimous vote. John Adams won 34 votes as vice president.

New York failed to choose electors due to an internal dispute. Some things never change. On February 4th, George Washington was officially elected as the first president of the United States
