On this Wednesday, Woke is on the run, about time. awful movement that is about as un-American as you can get. Why?
Starting point is 00:04:48 Because supporting biological males competing against females is wrong and can be dangerous on the playing field, in the boxing ring, in the pool. Ditto the intrusion into women's locker rooms by biological men, even if they have transition. I don't care if someone wants to change genders. that person has absolutely no right to impose their status on anyone, period. Then there's skin color. It is absolutely wrong to assess an American based on pigmentation.
Starting point is 00:05:28 We have strong laws against hurting African Americans and other minorities. These are good laws. But now the woke fanatics want to discard merit and replace it with race preferences. mandated by the government, employers, and colleges. That is a flat-out denial of equal opportunity. A woke country is not a just country. Allowing criminals to hurt people and walk free is not justice. It's dangerous.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Advocating government seizure of assets through extreme taxation destroys achievement. Kamala Harris was the most woke presidential candidate in the history of this country. she got smoked and she got what she deserved i'm bill o'reilly i approve the message by writing it you can reach me bill at bill o'reilly dot com bill at bill o'reilly dot com name in town if you wish to opine let's go to the mail we got uh george vaughan san antonio bill you showed a graphic monday which displayed how self-identified protestant catholic and jewish voters um cast her ballots Trump's swept Protestant and Catholics. What about people who have no religion? Very good question, George. 78% of those who do not believe in anything, as far as religion is concerned, a voter for Harris.
Starting point is 00:06:57 22% for Trump. You can extrapolate whatever you want from that. Not surprised. We got William on the message board concierge member. My team will help William if he gets into trouble or his family or whatever will help you there was a wave on election night not a red wave it was a trump wave of the common man woman who voted their pocketbooks yes that was the primary motivator in the election i believe marv white atlanta but i know you said states are in charge of elections but cannot the federal government dictate to the states requirements that are of national impact like for senators and representatives no they can oversee and that's what i call for and Arizona, but according to Constitution, states can run their own elections.
Starting point is 00:07:45 So states that don't want voter IDs, which are the liberal states, federal government can't force them. Now, I would like to see a law passed by Congress and signed by Trump that says you have to show an ID and then let the courts handle it, but just the publicity alone. Patricia Heatherson, Santan Valley, Arizona. What is the protocol when a sitting congressperson is selected for a cabinet position? Like a Stepanick from New York, a Republican does Kathy Hochel have to appoint another Republican? No, because you won't appoint anybody. The seat will be vacant until a special election.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Now, if it's a senator, then somebody's appoint. But it's a difference. It's always a special election that comes up. In a moment, something you might. might not know. In the year 1800, the U.S. presidential election ended with an electoral tie. The race was ultimately decided by Congress and led to the murder of one America's revolutionary war heroes. Here is the story of Thomas Jefferson versus Aaron Burr. At the time, each member of the Electoral College cast two votes, making no distinction between ballots for president and vice president. So opposing parties could be elected together. Jefferson and Burr each received 73 electoral votes in 1800. Under Article 2 of the Constitution,
Starting point is 00:09:50 the contest was then sent to the House. Each of the 16 states would cast one vote to pick the next president. On February 11, 1801, Jefferson and Burr lobbied Congress with promises of lucrative positions and stuff like that. One week later, lawmakers selected Thomas Jefferson to lead the Young Republic. Alexander Hamilton of New York, the former Treasury Secretary under Washington, played a key role in breaking the deadlock. Final tally was 10 states for Jefferson, four Burr to refuse to vote. The 12th Amendment quickly follow the electoral crisis. going forward, the college would cast separate votes for president and vice president. But that was in the future.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Thomas Jefferson was president and Aaron Byrd vice president in 1801, and they did not like each other. And here's something else you might not know. Hamilton's role in handing the election to Jefferson would eventually lead to his death. Aaron Burr was furious, often claiming the election was stolen from him. A few years later, Burr ran for governor of New York, and Hamilton opposed him there. The two men agreed to a duel to settle the rivalry. On July 11, 1804, Aaron Burr shot and killed Alexander Hamilton in New Jersey. Thomas Jefferson was re-elected president five months' last.
Starting point is 00:11:30 later, but Burr was out completely. Back after this. Tires matter. They're the only part of your vehicle that touches the road.
