Iran uprising, American weapons, space crew, early arrival, and a 10% cap. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the Iranian regime led by the 86-year-old Ayatollah has ordered the internet to be cut off for his nation. This is after.

Electricity problems, water shortages, 50% inflation rates. It's been a massive uprising across the nation for about two weeks now, and now we have reports that hundreds of Iranians have been killed by this regime. Trump wrote on Saturday Iran is looking at freedom, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help. The president told a reporter, I've made the statement very strong that if they start killing people like they have in the past, we will get involved. We'll be hitting them very hard where it hurts.

and that doesn't mean boots on the ground, but it means hitting them very, very hard where it hurts. So we don't want that to happen. Iran, of course, already knows what the American military is capable of six B2 bombers, dropping to a bunker busting bombs, Navy submarines launching 30 cruise missiles. They know what we're capable of. Speaking of the military, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt shared an account from a, someone who claims to be a security guard of Maduro, who said that last week during the capture Maduro, all their radar systems went down.

They then saw drones overhead, then helicopters. He said only 20 Americans came out of the helicopter and, quote, it was a massacre. We were hundreds, but we had no chance. They were shooting with such precision and speed. It seemed like each soldier was firing. 300 rounds per minute. We couldn't do anything. The person then said they launched something, and I don't know how to describe it.

It was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside. We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. we couldn't resist. Those 20 men, the Americans, without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us. We had no way to compete with their technology.

I swear I've never seen anything like it. NASA made the unprecedented decision to bring a crew home early from the International Space Station after a medical emergency in orbit. It's the first time in 25-year history that a mission's been cut short for health reasons. A single crew member experienced a medical situation on January 7th. They're now stable, but they decided to bring everyone back. A space X dragon capsule will bring the four-person crew home disembarking from the space station as soon as Wednesday, and it will land on Earth the next morning. The president has called on credit card companies to cap interest rates to 10% for one year.

He said, please be informed that we will no longer let the American public be ripped off by credit card companies that are charging interest rates of 20 to 30% and even more, which festered unimpeded during the sleepy Joe Biden administration. This is amusing to the president. Meant time, nothing is really accomplished by the media. Mr. Trump keeps poking it with things like Canada will be the 51st state.

D-Day will take place in Greenland, and both of those things aren't going to happen. Meantime, the press keeps trying to kick Mr. Trump's football while it snatched away at the last moment. But then once the money gets to the states, the states are responsible for it. I mean, Doge is running around 50 states. They were dealing with federal departments. and spending. Umberto Soriano, he's a doctor in Chile. So I watch the news every day from Chile, and I like most of President Trump's policies. But the vaccines are questionable.

His changes in vaccine policies result in increase in disease and many dead children around the world. I'm not sure about that doctor. So my question to you is this, why doesn't Chile buy its own vaccines? What does Trump have to do with that? Why are we buying the medicine for you guys? You're an up-and-coming country, got an economy, free economy, marketplace.

It's Trump to have to do with it. Now, Trump doesn't care one way or the other about the vaccines. It's not his deal, okay? That's Bobby Kennedy. But all around the world, the United States does pump money, particularly into Africa, for medical reasons to help the people. people. But we got to get away from that. I'm telling you, I'm sitting there going, how did it ever get this way? No standards at all. None. There's no standards. People say, whatever they want to say. There's no editor or head of the news agency going, hey, what are you doing? That's not true. Now, when I came up, I made a mistake. In a moment, something you might not know. One year ago today, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order to help Los Angeles rebuild after those massive wildfires destroyed entire sections of LA.

Despite the action, the effort to rebuild the city of Angels remains a shambles. Here is the story. Beginning on January 7, 2025, a series of 14 fires broke out in Los Angeles and San Diego. The blazes were exacerbated by drought, high winds, low humidity. Within days, 400 people have been killed. 200,000 evacuated, 18,000 homes destroyed, 57,000 acres of land, completely scorched, $10 billion in damage. Residents quickly blame the severity of the incident on both Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Newsom. Local media reported stories about non-functioning fire hydrants, empty reservoirs, entire fleets of non-functioning fire trucks.

To show up support, Newsom issued an executive order, vowing to help the people of LA. I'm worried about issues of rebuilding as it relates to scarcity, as it relates to property taxes, meaning scarcity of resources, materials, personnel. I'm worried about time to getting these projects done. And so we want to fast track by eliminating any CEQA requirements. I've got coastal act changes that we're making. I want to make sure when someone rebuilds that they have their old property tax assessments and that they're not increased. All of that's been done in the executive order we just announced.

So 12 months later, where exactly are we in terms of recovery? Less than a third of the residents have been able to rebuild. Construction permits now backlogged 18 months throughout L.A. County. Environmental surveys take another 90 days. New rules from Sacramento. also require each home to be built with green energy guidelines. The laws can increase cost up to 33%. The result, the average price for a new home in Los Angeles is $800 per square foot, astronomical.
