Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, January 14th, 2026.
Here's this happening today in America.
Help is on the way. Trump at Ford Plant, transgender oral arguments, and Scott Adams passed away.
That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, the death toll is climbing in Iran.
It's believed to over 10,000 people arrested.
President Trump canceled all talks with Iranian.
officials declaring help is on the way. And he warned that the regime killers will pay a big price.
He also urged protesters to, quote, take over your institutions. The president said, I have
canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters stops.
Help us on the way. Miga, or Miga make Iran great again. On Monday, he imposed a 25% tariff on any
nation doing business with Iran to isolate the regime economically even more. U.S. officials have also urged
American citizens to leave Iran immediately as the situation escalates.
Ford workers cheered President Trump during his visit to an F-150 plant in Dearborn, Michigan.
The president took selfies with workers as he inspected the factory.
The president made the point that auto sales, this last year, for new vehicle sales,
highest since 2019.
And Ford, Stalantis, General Motors, Honda, and Toyota are investing billions in American facilities.
He also said for the first time, Americans can deduct interest
on auto loans for vehicles made in America.
Also, he ordered an end to the Biden-era fuel economy standards,
which would have added about $1,000 to the price of every car.
The Supreme Court yesterday heard oral arguments on two cases
regarding boys competing in girls' sports.
The court strongly appeared to be in favor of girls.
This dealt with laws in West Virginia and Idaho.
Both states banned boys from competing against girls,
and this was challenged as a violation of the 14th Amendment.
But the ACLU lawyers were awful.
In one exchange, Alito said,
to decide if there's discrimination on the basis of sex under Title IX,
we need to define what sex is, right?
And the ACLU lawyer said, yes.
Alito said, well, what does it mean to be a man or a woman, boy or a girl?
And the ACLU said, we do not have a definition for the court.
Yikes.
Scott Adams, the founder of the comic strip Dilbert,
passed away yesterday at the age of 68 from prostate cancer.
More recently, he was known as a political commentator of sorts.
He supported President Trump and predicted that the president would win in 2015.
The president said, sadly, the great influencer, Scott Adams, has passed away.
He was a fantastic guy who liked and respected me when it wasn't fashionable to do so.
We talked a lot more about Scott Adams and what he said on his deathbed on my podcast, Politics by Faith.
You can listen to that wherever you listen to your podcast.
Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day.
Next.
Time now for the O'Reilly update, message of the day.
On this Wednesday in a press briefing, Golden State Warrior coach Steve Kerr put forth
that the ICE agent who shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis committed murder.
Now, ordinarily, I don't pay much attention to ill-informed opinions
because there are so many of them you'd collapse mentally trying to process at all.
But Mr. Kerr's denial of due process.
actually dangerous because so many Americans have little idea that everyone in this country
is presumed innocent until found guilty by a jury of their peers. Apparently, old Steve doesn't
know that or doesn't care. That puts him in a hyper pinhead category. Steve Kerr is what I call
a virtue signaler. He plays to his ideological base in San Francisco. The prime
The problem is he has influence among some younger Americans, including players on his team,
and he is leading them to a very dark place.
If due process is not respected in the USA, we are all on our way to anarchy and witch
hunting.
I'm sure Steve has not read my book, Killing the Witches, but he might wise up if he did.
However, wise is not a word I would associate with the coach.
Left-wing ideologue?
A much better description.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.
You can reach me.

Name in town if you wish to opine.
Let's go to the mail.
We got Rick Coach in Anchorage, Alaska.
A little chilly up there, Rick.
Bill, by definition, Sanctuary City states are actively impeding federal law enforcement.
This is a federal crime.
Why hasn't President Trump and DOJ held these entities accountable?
Because it is a designation.
Sanctuary City is a designation.
That's not a crime.
You can designate yourself a Martian from Venus.
Okay?
You can designate anything you want.
but until you go in and then commit an actual crime can't be charged.
All right.
So that's why.
Now you'll notice at the beginning of the broadcast, I said, if I were president, I got the FBI interview in Walt, the nut from Oregon, Newsome, all of them, going, you got to do X and Y.
Why aren't you doing it?
And if you lie to an FBI agent, that's a felony.
Okay.
Ann Bittles, Jerseyville, Illinois, and Mr. O'Reilly, perhaps a vice focused mostly on red states with immigration.
Let the blue states go that won't cooperate.
America would be more aware of the danger.
Will you be surrendering then?
You can't surrender.
That's why Trump is surging in Minneapolis with the ICE agents.
Can't do that.
James, concierge member, James gets access to me, special email.
And if James gets in any trouble or wants information, whatever James wants, we'll help them out.
Thanks for all the information you put out there, O'Reilly.
You're my true news source.
Just who is the Associated Press associated with?
It's a private company.
And they sell their articles to thousands of newspapers all over the world.
associated with anybody. It's a private company. In a moment, something you might not know.
Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. Fifty-three years ago this
evening, Elvis Presley hosted a live TV special. The broadcast was beamed by satellite
to 36 countries around the world, and Sue became the most watched television event of all time.
Here's the story behind, Aloha from Hawaii.
The King hit number one in 1956 with the song Hound Dog.
Soon, Elvis Presley topped the chart 18 times.
After a seven-year hiatus to focus on his dopey movies, Elvis wanted to get back into the recording world.
So on January 14, 1973, Elvis had a second year.
band performed at the Honolulu International Center. Stage was designed to be five feet lower
than normal, allowing Presley to interact with thousands of screaming fans. And scream they did.
His men say, only fools, only food, I can share a lot. More than 1.5 billion people watched Elvis that evening.
percent of the entire global population. Sadly, Elvis's life spiraled out of control from there on.
He overdosed on drugs twice. His personal physician prescribed him 30 different medications.
By 1977, the singer had gained 90 pounds, could no longer walk without a cane, slept 15 hours a day.
In August of that year, Elvis Presley was found dead on his bathroom floor in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 42.
Doctors ruled the cause of death a coronary, but they were misleading.
Elvis Presley died from taking narcotics over a long period of time.
Back in a moment.
Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update. I am Bill O'Reilly, no spin, just facts, and always looking out for you.
