Bill O'Reilly here. Wednesday, January 15th, 2020. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Here's what's
happening today in America. Top Democrats debate in Des Moines. President Trump holds a rally at the same
time in Wisconsin. Nancy Pelosi finally moves on impeachment. The Canadian Prime Minister suggests
President Trump is to blame for the Ukraine jet disaster.
A new poll shows Hollywood, the least trusted institution in America.
Also had the big weakness of the debate last night.
But first, a summary, the top six Democrats sharing the stage in Des Moines for the final debate
before the Iowa caucus. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren sparring over allegations
the Vermont senator said a woman could never get elected in 2020.
Bernie calling the accusation incomprehensible and flat out denying it.
Warren says she disagrees with Sanders, so somebody's not telling the truth.
President Trump backs Bernie Sanders, saying at a campaign rally,
it's not the kind of thing Bernie would believe.
Mr. Trump addressing a pack crowd in Milwaukee,
defending his decision to take out Iranian General Soleimani with a U.S. drone.
The president puzzled by the Democratic opposition to the operation labeling the
terror chief a monster and a brutal son of a bitch.
Democrats finally voting on sending articles of impeachment to the U.S. Senate.
Majority leader Mitch McConnell saying a trial over removing President Trump from office could
begin as early as Tuesday.
Speaker Pelosi has withheld the documents since its passage back in December.
Canadian prime minister suggesting President Trump partially to blame for Iran shooting down
a Ukrainian jet, Justin Trudeau, telling reporters the American escalation in the region
resulted in the passenger's deaths. Fifty-seven Canadians died on tour to Iran.
A new morning console poll says Hollywood is the least trusted institution in America.
Survey fans just 4% of adults trust the movie industry to do the right thing.
That's one point behind Wall Street.
The most trusted people in a country?
Primary Care, doctors, and the military.
In a moment, the big problem with the Democratic debates as the O'Reilly Update continues.
You've been hearing about gold all over the news.
Prices continue to climb, not surprising, given all the warnings of a recession and the uncertainty of the upcoming election.
Americans are looking for stability as a way to protect their savings in retirement.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update message of the day, analyzing the Democratic debate last night.
First of all, very few Americans watched it.
There were no winners or losers on the stage.
It was essentially the same old thing we've heard the prior six times.
We have now seen the Democratic challengers to President Trump.
We know who they are, we know what they believe, seven times.
I have to say, I was bored.
I didn't learn anything new last night, and I wanted to.
But I did hear some dubious stuff, so let's run it down.
Shortly after the debate began at 9.10 p.m., Senator Elizabeth Warren told the country,
she'll make a good commander-in-chief because she has visited troops and has brothers in the military.
That's what she said. Four minutes later, Bernie Sanders was asked a pretty hard question about ISIS,
the moderators who, again, didn't really follow up, and the questions were too long,
the moderator said, hey, if you pull all American troops out of the Middle East,
as Senator Sanders wants to do, won't ISIS rise up again and start to kill people all over the
world? Well, Sanders dodged the question, completely dodged it,
saying he wants an international coalition. Isn't that what NATO is?
The truth, Bernie Sanders, has no idea how to combat ISIS.
Then at 9.21 p.m., Joseph Biden told the country he will not withdraw troops from the Middle East
departing from the far left. Biden seems to understand there remains a terror threat
in the Middle East and worldwide. At 945, Bernie Sanders denies telling us,
Elizabeth Warren that a woman cannot be elected president. You'll remember CNN, relying on its usual
anonymous sources, reported that Sanders told Warren, no woman can win the presidency. Well, Bernie,
he said, no, I did not. And then somehow blamed Donald Trump for the CNN anonymous report.
Warren had to reply. She said, she disagrees. That's a quote. Disagrees.
with Bernie's answer. Didn't say he was a liar. He said, I disagree with Bernie's answer.
But she doesn't want to fight him. So who's not telling the truth? Impossible to know.
The moderators quickly moved along. Then shortly after 10 p.m. Eastern Time, Bernie Sanders
scored on his most important issue, high prescription drug costs. All Americans are affected
by this, and they want answers. Bernie says that he'll bring them down through government
intervention. At 1027, Elizabeth Warren demands a wealth tax on affluent Americans saying it will
build the economy. I guess the senator doesn't understand a wealth tax would drive
affluent people out of the USA. All in all, pretty boring, didn't learn anything.
I'm Bill O'Reilly, and I approve that message by actually writing it.

update brings you something you might not know. The average life expectancy for an American male
76 years. Women higher, 81. Science pointing to all kinds of reasons why we're living longer,
better medical care, public health awareness, diet, that kind of thing. But it turns out where you live
can be just as important as how you live. There are American cities where folks do live longer
and are healthier. Let's start two miles above sea level. Breckenridge,
Colorado, beautiful place. Folks there live eight years longer than the national average.
They're constantly moving, hiking, skiing, shoveling snow, a lot of snow. Experts say
Americans living above 4,900 feet can exist three years longer. Colorado also home to the
lowest obesity rate in the nation. Staying with the cold weather, Minneapolis, Minnesota, population,
more than 400,000, 20% of the city parkland. Biking fitness, a big part of the local culture.
Minnesotans live two years longer than the national average. Then to Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, research shows tight-knit communities in chatting with your neighbors can prolong your
life. That's a common habit for folks in the Steel City. Pittsburgh tops the list for community
engagement, life expectancy, as high as 86. Over to Iowa City, where shorter business hours and
quick commutes are helping people live longer. Studies show less stress equals more sleep. More
sleep adds candles to your birthday cake. Next up, Naples, Florida on the West Coast,
Americans flying south for their golden years will live a little longer. Thanks to bustling retirement,
communities, Naples number one, and Gallops National Health and Well-Being Index, four years
running. Then to Charleston, South Carolina, nice town, where man's best friend may be responsible
for longer lifespans. Seven and ten households in Charleston have a dog. Studies show
owning a pooch lowers stress. It's good for the heart. The O'Reilly update. We'll be back
after this.
