Hello, O'Reilly here. Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Here's what's happening today in America.
The USA is more divided politically than ever before. The Senate approves impeachment rules. Hillary Clinton blindsides Bernie Sanders right before the Iowa caucus. The Mexican murder rate hits an
all-time high. An Iranian lawmaker offers a three-million dollar bounty for President Trump's
assassination. Also ahead, we'll take a close look at why we are so politically apart, but first the
facts. The president's third year in office setting a new record for polarization, a new survey
from Gallup revealing an 82-point gap between the political parties, with 89 percent of
Republicans supporting Donald Trump's job performance compared to just 7% of Democrats.
The 10 most polarized years in American history have taken place during the last three
administrations, Bush the Younger, Obama, and now Trump.
The impeachment trial of President Trump officially underway, the first day concluded,
after nearly 12 hours of debate, with senators ultimately approving rules just before 2 a.m.
but there was a verbal brawl right before that.
The Democrat impeachment managers calling the entire process a cover-up and embarrassment,
President Trump says the whole thing is a hoax.
Hillary Clinton says Bernie Sanders is a bad guy,
just less than two weeks before the Iowa caucus.
The former First Lady telling the Hollywood reporter,
the socialist senator, is, quote,
a career politician, nobody likes him and nobody wants to work with him.
When asked if she plans on endorsing Bernie Sanders, should he win the Democratic nomination,
Mrs. Clinton said, quote, I'm not going to go there yet.
The murder rate in Mexico are reaching record highs, the country recording more than 34,000
homicides in 2019. Mexico has a total population of 126 million, by comparison, the USA,
$129 million, with 16,000 reported murders in 2019.
Senior Iranian lawmaker offering $3 million to quote whoever kills Donald Trump.
Another sign that Iran is totally out of control and an irresponsible country.
In a moment, why are we so divided in America?
There are three big reasons.
Right back with them.
You've been hearing about gold all over the news.
prices continue to climb, not surprising, given all the warnings of a recession and the uncertainty of
the upcoming election.
Americans are looking for stability as a way to protect their savings in retirement.
That's why I recommend you consider gold and silver as a safe haven for your savings and
retirement.
The company I recommend, in half years, is American Hartford Gold Group.
They are A-plus rated with the Better Business Bureau.
Also, they make it simple and easy for you to invest in physical gold and silver.

com. Again, that's 877-44-4-4-6653 or billfreecoin.com. Time now for the O'Reilly
update message of the day, a divided American. This will not shock you. A new Gallup poll says
the political chasm in the country is the widest it's ever been. According to the poll,
a whopping 89% of registered Republicans approve of President Trump's job performance, while a dismal
7% of Democrats do. Doing the math, that's an incredible 82% gap. There are three reasons this has
happened. First, President Trump loathes people who oppose him, and hello, that would be Democrats.
There is no common ground. Mr. Trump believes he's doing an excellent job for all Americans,
and that should be appreciated by all Americans. Democrats think the president is Rosemary's baby,
all grown up. That leads us for reason number two. The media has demonized Donald Trump to such
an extent that reasoned discussion about him has vanished. The press signal is clear. Democrats must not
only oppose the president, they must hate him. The press is almost united in trying to destroy
the Trump administration as I document in my brand new column posted on Bill O'Reilly.
I hope you read it. The third reason is not often talked about. The conservative movement in the
USA has not changed all that much in the past 10 years. The right, generally speaking, opposes
abortion, gun control, and higher taxes. Conservative Americans want smaller government,
not a giant nanny state. Traditional people value Judeo-Christian philosophy and believe
the USA is a noble nation that has provided freedom for billions of people on the planet
at a great loss of blood and treasure. Think World War II and the Cold War. The left, again
generally speaking, sees it differently. In fact, the left has radically changed, pardon a pun,
Socialism is openly embraced by two of their presidential candidates. Climate change has become
an obsession, not just an issue. Denial of due process, as we saw in the Judge Kavanaugh hearings,
extreme political correctness as we see every day in the media, and attacks on so-called
white privilege are all embraced by liberal Democrats, at least most of them, who would never have
embraced them in 2008 when Barack Obama first decided to run for president. You didn't hear
any of this. So what we have now is not a failure to communicate, but a giant difference in core
beliefs? Can that ever be breached? There are only two ways that we would come together in the
USA. First, if we were attacked, a 9-11 situation or worse, that would unite most Americans,
not all, but most. The second, if a charismatic leader emerges who can spell out that Americans are all
in it together and we should stop the hatred. I'm Bill O'Reilly and I approve that message by writing
it. For more news analysis, please visit Bill O'Reilly.com in a moment, something you might not know.

Now, the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
Success in the music industry is measured in a few ways.
Concert, tickets sold, hit singles, downloads, but in the end, bands live and die by their fans.
A recent online poll asked the public one simple question, what are the best live bands of all time?
Three million votes later, there is an answer.
So let's take a look at the top ten.
Starting with Eagles, five number one singles, six number one albums. They've sold more than 200 million
records since 1971. They are an excellent band to see in concert. Grunge Rockers Nirvana at nine,
frontman the late Kurt Cobain quit high school to work as a janitor to pay for their first demo.
They went on to sell 75 million albums worldwide.
Next up the doors, when New York Magazine asked lead singer Jim Morrison back in the 60s,
how he prepared for stardom, Morrison said, I stopped getting haircuts.
Australian Arena Rock at 7 with ACDC, but not everyone a fan.
In 1989, the U.S. military blasted the track, You shook me all night to force Panama's
General Noriega out of the Vatican Embassy where he was hiding.
Speaking of loud bands, the Who is next at six.
They said the Guinness Book of Records for the loudest band in history,
and Pete Townsend is actually mostly deaf.
Did you know that?
Number five, Queen frontman Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991,
but the band still tours with American Idol star Adam Lambert singing lead.
Rolling Stones at 4 in 1975, Mick Jagger told People magazine
he'd rather be dead than sing satisfaction at age 45. Well, mix now 76, still singing satisfaction,
pays well. Pink Floyd takes the bronze, 250 million records sold, Dark Side of the Moon,
the longest running album on Billboard charts, 800 weeks, 800. Beatles, in second place,
1.6 billion single sold, 600 million albums, 25 number one records. The song yesterday has been covered
more than 3,000 times.
The Beatles did not tour very much, thus second place.
Top of the chart, Led Zeppelin, 300 million albums sold.
But here's something you might not know.
Zeppelin never had a number one hit, and only one broke the top ten, stairway to heaven.
Back after this.
