Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for MintMobil.
Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month is back.
So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills.
But it turns out that's very illegal.
So there goes my big idea for the commercial.
Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch.
A upfront payment of $45 for three-month plan equivalent to $15 per month required.
New customer offer for first three months only.
Speed slow after 35 gigabytes of networks busy.
Taxes and fees extra.
See mintmobile.com.
Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America.
Deportations begin. Tariffs soon. Lawsuits flying and snow in Florida. It's all coming up.
And Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, Tom Holman says the ICE deportation raids have already started.
He said, let me be clear.
It is not only public safety threats that will be arrested,
meaning illegal aliens who have been arrested for another crime.
Because in sanctuary cities, we're not allowed to go to the jail,
which means we have to go to the neighborhood and find him.
And when we find him, he may be with others.
And then they'll be arrested.
So sanctuary cities are actually going to get what they don't want.
More agents in the neighborhood and more collateral arrests.
An ICE memo from 2011 prevents agents for making arrests
in what they call sensitive locations.
But the acting Homeland Security Secretary announced two directives
saying that ICE agents are allowed to find illegal immigrants in churches and schools.
He said criminals will no longer be able to hide in America's schools and churches to avoid arrest.
The Trump administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement
and instead trusts them to use common sense.
Donald Trump said 25% tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico could be imposed
as soon as February 1st.
He said we're thinking in terms of
25% because they're allowing
vast numbers of people. Canada is a
very bad abuser also to come
in and fentanyl to come in.
I think we'll do it February 1st.
22 states have sued the federal
government because of Donald Trump's recent executive
order that ends birthright citizenship.
Starting next month, if
someone is born in America
to illegal immigrant parents,
then they will no longer be considered
a U.S. citizen.
And the fact that states are suing already is wonderful news because this will expedite the issue to the Supreme Court, where at least my reading of the 14th Amendment, which was passed after the Civil War and related to slaves and the children of slaves, I believe the Supreme Court will almost certainly rule in Donald Trump's favor.
Historic snowstorms in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida. Over 2,000 flights canceled.
across America, Houston's airport is closed, as is Tallahassee, once in a lifetime snowstorms
across the south. Also worth noting that Florida is the first state to refer to the Gulf of Mexico
by its new name, the official memo talking about a low pressure system that is moving across the
Gulf of America. Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Wednesday, looking back to Monday's inaugural address, there is a dilemma.
It was brutal.
Donald Trump saying the Biden administration destroyed the country with old Joe sitting just six feet away.
Now, I researched, and I cannot find any other inaugural speech in history close to that kind of confrontation.
But what Mr. Trump said was largely true.
President Biden was a disaster on many levels, and the problems he has caused will haunt America for years to come, no matter what Donald Trump does.
But there is the office in the president.
to consider. Here's what I mean. I have labeled Joe Biden the second worst chief executive in
history, and my case is very strong, especially if you read my book confronting the president's.
But what I say that, that he's the second worst, to Joe Biden's face? No. I'm not a phony,
but there is a standard of behavior when any president is present.
as Biden was with Trump.
We live in a polarizing age, and Donald Trump's address solidified that.
The exposition on Monday may have been necessary to awaken Americans to the severity of our
problems, or it might have been done another way.
This is a very tough call.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.
You can reach me.

Name in town, if you wish to opine.
I was going to the mail, Robert Yan, Wheeling, West Virginia.
Mr. O'Reilly, spot on again, I cringe as I listen to President Trump speak the truth,
knowing Mr. Biden was just a few feet away.
However, as you make clear, Joe Biden's the second worst president in our history,
and he deserved to be called out.
Could have done it in a different way, as I mentioned yesterday,
but I'm glad you're paying attention, Robert.
Another point of view, David, concierge member on a message board.
I agree with you and Bernie about Trump's attack on Biden as part of his inaugural address.
Trump has never been accused of having much grace.
Not that I disagree with his points, just in the format.
John, perfect ending for old Joe, pardoning all his family members who took money from Hunter
and his foreign contacts, 15 minutes before leaving the presidency.
just more now in his legacy coffin okay okay um there were people who disagreed with me by the way
about uh trump's an oral address they liked seeing biden suffer i would step back from that a little
bit it could have been done in a different way as i as i made clear but we respect all opinions here
john message board perfect ending for old jo um no i just did john uh ray o'reilly why part
pardon someone if that person is not guilty because you can be charged if you're not guilty
and it costs a fortune as I pointed out that's why Michael Swannock Boca Raton, Florida
being that Biden gave out blanket pardons can they still be investigated yeah and I would
absolutely have special counsel look into the Biden alleged grift it's got to be done
But if Trump does it, you know what the media's going to do.
Oh, it's revenge.
No, it's for the folks.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
16 years ago today, President Barack Obama signed an executive order closing a remote naval base on the island of Cuba.
Despite the decree, the controversial camp remains open today.
Here is the story of Guantanamo Bay.
The USA gained control of the territory during the Spanish-American War.
After seizing power in 1959, Fidel Castro tried to expel the U.S. Navy from Gitmo.
He cut off water and electricity, but he did not invade because he knew that any attack
on U.S. forces would lead to a counterattack which would have deposed Castro.
The base then faded somewhat into obscurity until 9-11. In the wake of that attack,
President Bush the Younger selected Guantanamo Bay for the detention of al-Qaeda suspects captured
overseas. The remote location was used by the Pentagon and other agencies for the advanced
interrogation of terrorists. Reports of abuse, lack of transparency, even torture, angered some
Americans. On January 22nd, 2009, just two days after his inauguration, President Obama ordered
the closure of Gitmo. He said, quote, the message we are sending around the world is that
the United States intends to prosecute the ongoing struggle against terrorism and do so
in a manner that is consistent with our values, unquote.
For the next decade, Congress successfully obstructed Barack Obama's order.
Republicans passed 10 separate pieces of legislation,
blocking any foreign terrorists from being brought to American soil for trials.
And here's something else you might not know.
At the height of America's war on terror,
800 prisoners were held at Guantanamo Bay. Today, just 15 remain at the camp. Despite repeated
promises, the Biden administration also failed to close Gitmo. And it is very unlikely that President Trump
will do so. Back after this.
