Thank you, Bill. It is Friday, January 3rd, 2024. Here's what happening. Today.
in America. Details about the New Orleans terrorist. Most New Yorkers want to flee.
A nationwide survey gives new meaning to the term man's best friend and public health officials
rank the dirtiest cities in America. That's all coming up. Then my message of the day about
how someone becomes radicalized in the first place and then something you might not know about
the convention of states. It's all coming up. But first, the FBI releasing some details about
the terrorist who drove his truck down Bourbon Street, murdering 15 people.
According to the FBI, if you can believe them, the 42-year-old Shamshu bin Jabbar acted alone
after pledging loyalty to ISIS last summer.
Social media posts show the former army soldier fantasizing about killing his own family,
attacking innocent civilians, and dying a martyr's death.
60% of residents in New York City say their families have a better future outside of the Big Apple.
A figure increases to 70% for those under the age of 49.
Only 40% of New Yorkers think the city's heading in the right direction under the mayor,
Eric Adams.
Half a million people have left New York City since COVID started five years ago.
A national survey from One poll shows seven in ten dog owners consider their pet to be their best friend.
Half of dog owners take their dogs on daily errands, 40% bring them to restaurants, 35% on airplanes.
48 million American households have at least one dog.
The average dog owner spends $5,000 every year on this family dog, mostly food, toys, trips to the vet.
A new report ranking the dirtiest cities in America for 2025.
The towns are judged by pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and resident satisfaction.
The worst offenders this year, Chicago, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Houston,
the dirtiest city in America, Newark, New Jersey.
The town ranks number one for garbage, air pollution, congestion, and vermin like rats and roaches.
In similar news, face mask mandates are returning in multiple cities as doctors and scientists are warning of a quodemic.
The flu, RSV, COVID, and the norovirus, sometimes called the stomach flu, are on the rise.
Shut down America again.
in time for Trump's inauguration, right? Coming up next, the message of the day, how does someone
become radicalized and become a terrorist? And then something you might not know about the convention
of states. It's actually not that crazy of an idea. A lot of Trump cabinet members support it.
We'll see if Donald Trump supports it as well. It's coming up. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under
stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar
and stockpiling gold.

now it's time for the O'Reilly update message of the day. There are similarities in the
recruitment of members of ISIS, recruitment of members of Mexican drug cartels, any gangs
here in America, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, doesn't matter. Recruitment of people into
any left-wing cult, from eco-violence to trans, abortion, whatever. I put them all in one
big family. They may physically look different, different people and different ones of these
death cults, like the ISIS terrorist will look like he's from Afghanistan, and the pro-Hamas
white guy will look like he's from San Francisco, and the gang member will look like that,
right? I mean, they may look different. And they may have different socioeconomic statuses.
That's irrelevant. They can have different education levels, irrelevant. They have two main things
in common. First, all the people who belong to these different death cults, they all desire a sense
of belonging. This is an innate human desire that every single person has. They don't have it in their
own lives for a myriad of reasons. And the gang, cult, or terrorist group will give them that
mission, purpose, and belonging. The other reason for all of this is sin. Every time something
terrible like this happens, our brains need to make sense of it. We got to put it somewhere. So we look
at this cause and we look at that group's ideology and we do these deep dives into this and all the
and that's fine, but don't forget the deepest root of all.
The unredeemed, fallen, sinful, human heart that hates God.
God is love.
So if you hate God, then you hate what he loves and you love what he hates.
Proverbs has a list of seven things that God hates, and one of them is the shedding of
innocent blood.
So if you love God, then you will hate that as well.
If you hate God, which most people do, then you will love.
the shedding of innocent blood.
And you might even do it yourself, which a lot of people do.
If you have a worldview that understands total depravity, as our founders did,
then you'll realize that we need systems in place to keep people in line.
That we need just governments that punish evil and reward good.
That's Romans 13.
If you understand total depravity, you'll understand that we need systems in place,
government and cultural, and you'll understand that power has to be dispersed
away from the few amongst all the people because if you put too much power in the hands of
two few people, they are corrupt and will use it to become tyrants. If you don't believe in
total depravity, then you will be inclined towards either anarchy or dictatorship. Okay,
makes sense? So the source of all this wickedness is the unredeemed, depraved human heart.
People don't want to hear this. Most people today believe that we're born good,
but that belief will send you down a very bad road. So what do we do?
We pray, we prevent, we protect, and we punish.
We pray for the unredeemed hearts to love what God loves
and to never even consider shedding innocent blood.
We prevent bad people from doing wicked things.
We can start with closing the border
so we can at least stop foreigners from hurting us.
As we talked about yesterday, the new director of counterterrorism,
Dr. Sebastian Gork, said if there's 10 million people
that have been let in these last four years,
if 0.01% of them are terrorists.
That's a thousand terrorists.
So we can prevent bad things, at least by doing that.
We protect innocent Americans.
Sensible ways I look forward to Cash Patel
and the rest of Trump's intelligence
and law enforcement team to get into power.
Projecting strength around the world also protects the homeland.
And we also punish you and your people
if you dare do anything to us.
And if you try, it won't be worth it for you in any way.
Pray, prevent, protect.
Punish.
Something you might not know.

Now, it's not for something you might not know.
California is working to revoke all of their Convention of States resolutions.
Very progressive California was on board with a Convention of States.
But now that the Republicans are winning, they're out.
We want nothing to do with this anymore.
Now, I thought the Convention of States would never happen.
So I haven't paid too much attention to it.
But the fact that California revoked all of their conventionist states resolutions proves that they think it might happen.
So I think it's worth taking a minute to find out exactly what this is.
Now, before I did any research on this at all, it sounds like a really wacky idea.
Sounds like a drastic idea.
Like a new revolution.
I don't think we're wise enough to come up with a better constitution.
Get rid of the constitution.
Start afresh.
I don't know.
Now it turns out that's not what a conventionist.
states is at all. The founders put in the Constitution, Article 5, a way for the Constitution
to be amended. It requires Congress to pass an amendment and then send it to the states where
three quarters of the states need to ratify it, and then it becomes a part of the Constitution.
And we've done this 17 times. But George Mason, when they were debating the Constitution,
he said, well, wait a second, Congress can't be the only source of an amendment to the Constitution.
because if Congress is corrupt, they're never going to pass an amendment that would control their
corruption.
We have to come up with a way for the people to propose an amendment to the Constitution as well.
So they put in the second way to propose an amendment, and that is the convention of states.
The Constitution says that if two-thirds of the states, state legislatures, call for a convention
for proposing amendments, then the states get together.
They come up with a specific amendment, and then there's another check.
Three-quarters of the states have to ratify.
it for it to be officially added to the Constitution.
So 34 states need to call for a conventionist states, and then 37 states need to agree
to whatever amendments are proposed.
So a couple of things.
It does not eliminate or repeal the Constitution at all.
It's just for adding amendments.
And then there's plenty of checks along the way.
And to alleviate another concern I had, the convention, once they get together, can only
deal with the very specific things that the states said they could deal with.
So it can't be hijacked by a bunch of lefties, and they come out with, you know,
repealing the Second Amendment. The three issues that they would talk about at the Convention of States
are term limits, balanced budgets, and limiting the scope of government bureaucracy. That's it.
Right now, 19 states have signed on for this. We need 34. Trump won 31 states, and a few more have
Republican legislatures, and could pass this. A lot of people in Trump's cabinet support the
Convention of States. We'll see if Trump comes out early and supports it too.
