But first, according to Politico, when the Biden family met at Camp David this weekend,
including Hunter, they criticized the campaign advisors.
They're blaming the debate practice that they didn't practice on how to go more on the attack
and was bogged down by defending his record rather than outlining a vision for his second term
and that he was overworked and not well-rested.
They're blaming Anita Dunn, his senior advisor,
her husband who played Trump during the rehearsals,
and Ron Clayne, the former chief of staff who led the debate prep.
Politico says that Biden does not want to end his political career,
getting crushed by Trump in a debate.
Someone who they absolutely loathe.
Jill and Hunter were the loudest voices urging him to stay in the race.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
On this Monday, after the debate, Thursday night, I was on News Nation with Geraldo Rivera.
And Geraldo is not a big fan of President Trump.
He doesn't really like Joe Biden as far as a politician is concerned, but he does like him as a human being.
Now, I don't know Mr. Biden very well.
I had one conversation with him in my life.
He was all right, but we kept inviting him on The Factor when I was at Fox, and he didn't want any part of me.
So he never came on.
Now, Geraldo said he felt sorry for Joe Biden after the debate, that he wanted to, quote,
give him a hug, which I think might have made Joe Biden's evening even worse, but who knows?
I kind of feel the same way, but I'm not going to hug the man, but I feel sorry for him
because he is the president of the United States and his life is in a free fall.
I'm not one of these people who wants to see ill, I-L, become a political opponents.
Now, as you all know, I think Joe Biden is the second worst president of the United States ever.
And I'll back that up in my upcoming book, confronting the president's out September 10th.
But as a human being, he was humiliated Biden on Thursday.
And it was tough to watch that because he is the president of this country.
So no hugs, but I understand what Rivera.
was saying. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.
Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town, if you wish to opine.
Let's go to the mail. We've got Javier Baez, Managua, Nicaragua. And I pronounce that correctly.
Bill, I'm not a conspiracy guy, but why would Biden's team let him go through the debate?
Why were the CNN moderators so good they didn't bail Biden out? Because they can't.
couldn't bail Biden out. Couldn't interrupt him. And you couldn't do the, it was a very,
very structured. There's what the moderators can do. Here's what the candidates can do. As far as
why they put him up, they thought that after the state of the union, Javier, where Biden got through
it, that he could do the same in a debate with no notes. Pretty insane, right? There you go.
Dan Jermick, Iron River, Michigan. I feel sorry for Biden after Washington debate.
I question how his wife and others close to him would even put him in this position.
It was sad.
Joe Biden should be ashamed.
My opinion, Jill Biden wants power, and that's it.
Sharon.
I admit I'm shocked that CNN did a fairly decent job moderating debate.
They did manage to keep both candidates on topic most of the time, but President Trump had to rebut Joe as needed.
But they didn't keep the candidate Sharon on topic.
Candidates said it as well what they want.
There was no holding them accountable for that.
And that's just the way it was.
James Milner, Kesswick, Virginia.
The debates are what I thought they would be.
They didn't tell us what they were going to do for our country.
I would have liked more specificity,
and that's what I'm recommending that Donald Trump do going forward.
Joe Biden, I recommend, why?
He's wrecked it up.
I mean, I don't know what else he could have said.
Bruce Taves, Winnipeg, Canada.
Do Donald Trump just write up a list of answers he planned to give tonight and decide to read them?
Do you heck with the questions?
He took my advice, Bruce.
All right?
He wanted stuff out there.
Trump wanted stuff out there and he got it out there.
And Biden could not rebut.
In a moment, something you might not know.

On this day in 1863, the largest armed conflict in North America commenced on a field in rural Pennsylvania.
The ferocious fight lasted three days, would become the most important battle in U.S. history.
Gettysburg had begun.
Here is the story.
Since the beginning of the Civil War, Robert E. Lee and his Confederate Army enjoyed a series of victories over the Union.
Lee then planned to invade the North with 80,000 soldiers.
Standing in his way was U.S. General George Meade and 100,000 federal troops.
On the morning of July 1st, advanced units of both forces contacted each other just outside the town of Gettysburg.
By noon, the fighting was underway. The bloody battle waged on for three sides.
days. On July 3rd, Robert E. Lee tried one last time to break the Union lines. He ordered
Pickett's Charge, a desperate maneuver that will go down as one of the worst military blunders
of the war. Both armies exhausted held their positions until the night of July 4th Independence Day.
Then Lee withdrew. The Union Army was too weak to pursue.
sue the fleeing Confederates, who retreated to Virginia, never again to invade the North.
Gettysburg was the turning point of the Civil War. Each side suffered 25,000 casualties
in less than 72 hours. In November 1863, President Lincoln visited the Gettysburg Battlefield
to consecrate a new National Cemetery.
There he delivered the famous Gettysburg Address.
Robert E. Lee surrendered 18 months later.
In its totality, the Civil War was fought in 10,000 places from Vermont to Arizona.
700,000 Americans died during the conflict more than all other wars combined.
For more incredible stories about the brutal struggle to save the union, please check out my book, Killing Lincoln.
