Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill. It is Friday, July 10th, 2026. Here's what happening today in America.
American Museum of Woke. Illegal Alien kills six-year-old. Trade Center breaks ground. And the Arch gets another round of approval.
It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, I recommend you read at least the first few pages, the summary of this 162-page White House.
report, highlighting how the Smithsonian has been totally taken over my radicals and revisionists,
whose entire purpose is to problematize every good thing about American history and eliminate
key parts of our history. It's an incredible report. It's called the Saving America's story,
how ideological capture at the Smithsonian erases our heritage. It highlights all the museum's
wokeness over the last few years from seemingly minor stuff like how Mickey Mouse represents
vestiges of long-standing traditions of blackface minstrel shows to how the National Museum
of American History's leadership said the new goal is to reframe the traditional celebratory narrative
of U.S. History.
The American Historical Association represents 10,000 historians across America, has defended
the Smithsonian and urged the White House to, quote, respect and value the expertise of
the historians, curators and other museums.
museum professionals who conduct the review and revision of historical content according to the
professional standards of our discipline.
An illegal alien ran a stop sign hit a mother and her two young children, which resulted
in the death of her six-year-old daughter.
This illegal alien had previously been deported three times, 2019, 2023, and 2024.
33-year-old, the illegal alien from Mexico was arrested in North Carolina a month after
allegedly running a stop sign at hitting the 35-year-old mom who was driving to get lunch with her two
children, six and a four-year-old. Two World Trade Center has broken ground, 25 years after the
terrorist attack of 9-11. This new building will be 55 stories tall, two million square feet.
It is the last commercial development in the footprint of the fallen twin towers of the
World Trade Center. It's expected to be completed in 2031. The mayor of New York City said we
are standing today on hollowed ground. This will be the world headquarters for American Express.
The president's proposed arch 250 feet tall received initial approval from the National Capital Planning Commission after hours of public testimony against the project.
This is going to be in a traffic circle in front of Arlington National Cemetery on the other side of the bridge from the Lincoln Memorial.
This arch will be more than twice as tall as the 99-foot-tall Lincoln Memorial.
The National Park Service says construction will take place 20 hours a day over the next two to three years.

Time now for the O'Reilly update, message of the day.
On this Friday, I'm thinking about the growing specter of communism in America.
The Marxists are causing trouble, and this took me by surprise.
I did not expect the emerging anti-capitalist movement in our country.
Why?
Because most Americans live pretty well.
Even poor people have much more than middle-class people in most of the world.
Now, this week, the godfather of socialism, Senator Bernie Sanders, quoted Mao Zedong,
the Chinese chairman who is the worst mass murder in history.
If you read my book Confronting Evil, we document that.
And that's who Sanders wants to emulate?
If you are a wealthy person and the communists consider you a so-called oligarch, then they're coming after you.
This is what communism is.
The government controls what we the people have and what we do.
There is no freedom in Mao's utopia.
The second in command is Zauron Mamadani.
It amazes me how many New York?
York has voted for a hardcore Marxist to run the nation's largest city. Those voters will soon be sorry.
Communism, USA is a groving movement, but it is very dangerous. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by
writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to
opine. Now let's go to the mail. Sandra, be nice to hear of someone.
ask the $10,000 question, how you make things affordable? Once the prices go up, they don't come down.
We live in a market economy. True. But it is a market-driven economy. So you can make a lot of
money undercutting your competition. And that's what I believe will happen. Although the prices
didn't come down that much under COVID.
They didn't.
They should have. They didn't.
Mark Worth, the Hague in Holland.
A bell, the most obvious questions are the most important and impactful.
For example, have any of President Trump's policies actually hurt Americans?
His opponents, of course, say, yes, I can't think of one that has.
Well, the terror thing, got to be looked at.
I think that's fair.
That could be hurting working Americans.
Max, concierge member, Bill having Glenn Beck on, we'll do it live,
brought back great factor memories.
The two of you together are the best.
And I live in Texas, so does Beck.
We would welcome you to move here.
We have a lot more air conditioning than when you were here before.
There isn't enough air conditioning in the world to get me down to Texas in August.
Okay.
Talk about warming.
John Cooper,
Overland Park, Kansas,
just received my USA 250 hat.
Looks outstanding.
I plan to wear it all summer long.
Yeah, you can still order those 250 USA hats.
They'll be good forever.
Forever.
The best hats in the country.
I stand by them.
In a moment, something you might not know.
Here we go.
Someone's already.
claiming this is our year.
Someone else said that last year too.
A round of Jamison, ginger and lime arrives at the table.
Smooth enough for kickoff, smooth enough for extra time.
New friends pulling up a stool.
Debates about whether that was a handball.
Cheers rising like a roar around the room.
Because match days are about the shared moments.
How did Jameson to your match day lineup?

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might.
Not no.
113 years ago today, the small town of Death Valley, California, recorded the hottest natural
temperature on earth, 134 degrees Fahrenheit.
While it wasn't that warm over the 4th of July weekend, it was close in some places.
Experts blame the sweltering weather on a so-called heat dome.
The phenomenon occurs when high pressure stalls over.
land, trapping hot air like a lid on a pot of boiling water.
Here are the highest temperatures in America during the 4th of July holiday.
Central Park, Manhattan, 102 degrees.
Washington, D.C., 103, smashing the all-time records set back in 1898.
Atlantic City spiked to 106.
The high humidity made places feel hotter than the actual.
actually were. Baltimore's thermometer reached 101, but the human body experienced temperatures
more than 116 degrees in Baltimore. Sadly, at least 30 Americans died from heat-related injuries
over the weekend. The fatalities were caused by dehydration, stroke, stress-induced heart
attacks. Twenty-two deaths took place in New Jersey alone. Said the state's Health Commissioner,
quote, unfortunately, many of these individuals are found in homes without air conditioning.
A few were outside their residents, some on the street, some even in parked cars.
Without water, the average human being can live less than five hours exposed to outdoor temperatures
more than 100 degrees.
And here's something else you might not know.
Some places in the USA avoided the heat wave entirely.
The coldest place in America last weekend, Barrow, Alaska.
The nation's northernmost town now experiencing 24 hours of daylight
recorded a high temperature of just 25 degrees.
Ooh, back in a moment.
