Bill O'Reilly here Monday, July 19th, 2021.
You are listening to the O'Reilly Update.
Here's what's happening today in America.
President Biden vows to appeal a federal court's decision about young undocumented people.
The L.A. sheriff says no to enforcing mask mandates.
Gun violence in D.C. terrorizes a major league baseball game.
Olympic athletes contract COVID before the games even start.
Notre Dame says yes to Chick-fil-A despite cancel protests.
Also ahead, perhaps the worst decision President Biden has made so far.
But first, a federal judge ruling Barack Obama's DACA initiative for undocumented children violates the law.
New applications are now stopped to the program that provides a pathway to
citizenship for young people brought to the USA as minors. President Biden says the decision
is, quote, deeply disappointing vows that the government will appeal. More on Mr. Biden's
migrant vision ahead. The Los Angeles County Sheriff rejecting health officials' latest mask
mandate all residents in L.A., even vaccinated, are now instructed to wear face coverings in all
public buildings. Sheriff Alex Villanueva telling his department to ignore the guidelines because, quote,
the order is not backed by science. Four people shot in D.C. outside a Washington National's
baseball game. Sound of gunfire forced athletes and fans to run for cover during the sixth inning of the game.
Police say two vehicles opened fire on each other in the parking lot, less than a few feet from the
stadium. Homicides in the nation's capital up 45%. Some Olympic athletes in Japan testing positive
for COVID despite measures that would require two negative testings before they are even
allowed to compete. At least six members of the South African contingent are now infected. The team
set to play the first game of the men's soccer competition on Thursday. The University of Notre Dame
confirming a Chick-fil-A restaurant will open on campus this fall despite opposition from some students
and faculty. Critics of the fast food chain claim the chief executive donates to Christian groups
that don't support gay marriage. Supporters say the company offers tasty food at affordable
prices and Notre Dame is a Catholic university. In a moment, violence and suffering at the southern
border. Is it Joe Biden's fault? Right back. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar

Time now for the O'Reilly Update. Message of the day, a huge federal screw-up.
President Biden seems to be a welcoming kind of guy, especially to folks who want to live in the USA without legal credentials.
While President Obama deported tens of thousands of foreign nationals and President Trump shut down
many immigration scams, Joe Biden has thrown the southern border wide open.
Ola! Amigos! Let's examine some facts that rolled in a few days ago.
The Customs and Border Protection Agency reports 1.1 million apprehensions in the first nine months
of the federal government's fiscal year.
According to the Washington Post,
the last time a million migrants were detained
was in 2006,
and that was for the entire year.
Under Biden, apprehensions could reach 1.5 million
when the ear ends in October,
and that would be a record by far.
Now, the Acting Commissioner of Border Protection,
Troy Miller told the post, quote,
we are in the hottest part of the summer and we are seeing a high number of
distress calls from migrants abandoned in treacherous country by smugglers who have no regard
for human life, unquote. Of course, American Asians rescue migrants even if they are in
Mexico. They are then treated by U.S. medical personnel as they should be. You don't let human
beings die. However, they shouldn't be in jeopardy in the first place, but they are because President
Biden dismantled that Trump remain in Mexico policy, effectively opening the border to anyone
who desired asylum as tens of millions of people do all over the world. That enormous mistake
has provided incentive to the poor and aggrieved to make the dangerous trek north.
Poor people are dying every day, and thousands of others are being horribly assaulted in lawless Mexico.
And what does President Biden say? Nothing. Does he even understand what's happening?
Vice President Harris was put in charge of this humanitarian disaster, so what does she say? Don't come.
That's what she said, knowing full well her boss has wrecked border security.
What does Speaker Nancy Pelosi say? Nothing. How about the lapdog White House Press Corps? Are they
peppering Jen Saki with border questions? No, they are not. What a disgrace across the board.
What a colossal dereliction of duty by President Biden. It's almost impossible to believe that any
president would eliminate a border strategy that was working simply because far-left cooks demanded.
but that's what Biden did.
He is directly, directly responsible for this horrible situation,
just as he'll be directly responsible for the painful economy,
which is coming soon to your house.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, one-third of adults in the USA have a four-year college degree.
The average salary for those graduates, $45,000 to begin.
About 60% of the population will earn a living with a high school diploma.
Most jobs start about $32,000 a year.
But for the ambitious, there are some very lucrative careers for workers without a four-year college degree.
Here are the top-paying positions for blue-collar folks.
First, railroad technician. The folks that fixed trains, subways, tracks, salaries started 74,000 a year. That's a start. Next, petroleum operators. These technicians manage oil refining stations across the country. There are more than 45,000 positions in the USA with an annual average paycheck of $80,000. Big money. Power,
plant managers are next. 50,000 Americans work every day to make sure the country's coal,
natural gas, oil-powered plants provide reliable electricity. Salary started $85,000. The number
three spot goes to police detectives. Paychecks for them begin at $95,000 a year. Second place,
elevator and escalator installers. New construction projects.
from Manhattan to Hawaii, spend big bucks to install safe, reliable infrastructure, and everything
from hotels to malls. The folks that build these systems make about $100,000 a year.
The top spot goes to nuclear reactor operators. 6,000 employees in the USA work every day
to make sure the country's nuclear plants don't turn into Chernobyl. Salaries started a hundred and
$20,000 a year and they will throw in the hazmat suits. That is a bad joke. And here's something
else you might not know. The price tag to attend a four-year university is forcing younger
Americans to rethink the job market. Since 1980, that cost has gone up 300%. You don't need a
college degree, you do need a big-time skill. Back in a moment.
