It's Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019, and you're listening to the O'Reilly Update, and here's what's happening across our nation.
Joe Biden's poll numbers plummet after the Democrats' first presidential debate.
More bad news for Bernie Sanders' campaign.
Representative Ocasio-Cortez Tours at Immigration Detention Center in Texas.
Shoe manufacturer Nike under fire after polling an American-themed sneaker.
Coming up, Bill's message of the day, and something you might not know, but first to the campaign trail.
Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden taking a major dive in the polls just days after his party's first presidential debate,
Biden dropped a stunning 10 percent, according to multiple surveys, with Senator Kamala Harris
making major gains after a well-coordinated confrontation with the former vice president.
Bernie Sanders' numbers are also down, with Mayor Pete gaining new contributions, but not
major new poll numbers.
Bernie Sanders campaign showing new signs of trouble this week, with the latest financial
filings showing the Democratic Socialists took in just 18 million.
dollars in the first quarter of 2019. Mayor Pete raised an impressive $24 million. The figures pale in
comparison to the Trump 2020 campaign, which received $25 million in its first 24 hours.
Controversial Congresswoman Alexander Acosio Cortez and other left-wing lawmakers toured
in Immigration Detention Center in El Paso, Texas.
this week, saying they witnessed inhumane conditions at facilities housing Central American
migrants. AOC went one step further, claiming she felt physically threatened by federal agents
running the centers, which they deny, along with their other outrageous claims.
Shoe manufacturer Nike found themselves again in hot water Tuesday, abruptly pulling a line
of American-themed sneakers after former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick warned of racist symbolism
surrounding the U.S. flag with the original 13 stars. The move caused well-deserved instant backlash,
although pairs of the sneakers now are selling for more than $2,000 on eBay.
Coming up, Bill's message of the day. It's an uncertain world out there. You know that. Disaster can strike

life as we know it. When it comes to the subject of abortion, there is far too much talking and not
nearly enough thinking. Terminating a fetus is a life-death decision that should be treated with
grave concern for both the mother and the developing fetus, which contains human DNA upon
conception. There are close to one million abortions every year in the USA. So what are the scientific
facts involved with taking a life from the mother's wound and destroying it? The most important
one is that no human being can know with certainty when life actually begins.
Christian doctrine says that upon conception, a soul enters the cell mass,
thereby making it a human being, a creation of God.
Those who justify abortion reject that belief and embrace a variety of other standards
for designating who is a human being.
But again, there is no exact scientific definition here.
That is a fact.
Doctors in America are apparently siding with the life movement.
According to recent studies, only 7% of obstetricians and gynecologists will perform abortions.
However, you will not hear that statistic much from the American media, which has succeeded
in framing the abortion life debate as good versus evil.
But incredibly, the evil is on the pro-choice side.
If you oppose abortion, you're a denier of female equality, a misogynist.
If you do not subscribe to unfettered abortion, you're violating, quote, reproductive rights.
Recently, Georgia, Alabama, and some other states passed new laws, placing limits on aborting fetuses.
In response, the CEO of the Disney Corporation, Robert Eiger, threatened to deny Georgia all Disney film business.
For this, Eiger is being celebrated as a hero in Hollywood.
In New York, where there was once limits on abortion, now,
there are none. The Roman Catholic governor, Andrew Cuomo, championed a new law that says abortion
can take place at any time for any reason right up till birth. Mr. Cuomo describes himself as a
practicing Catholic, but acknowledges his enthusiasm for the very liberal abortion law in New York
puts him at odds with his faith. Former Vice President Joe Biden now running for president
is also caught up in the abortion war. For 43 years, Biden supported the Hyde Amendment,
which bans the use of federal money for abortions outside of rape, incest, and permanent damage
to the mother's help. But suddenly, Joe doesn't think the Hyde Amendment's fair. That's because
the far left, which is driving the Democratic Party these days, has villainized every pro-life
position, including the Hyde Amendment. So Joe is scared. He's all. He's all right. He's
also a Catholic. A humane society should be able to limit abortion while protecting mothers in
dangerous circumstances. Abortion should not be a political issue used to demonize. Yes, American women
have rights, but so too do developing cells that will shortly become human beings. If you deny
that last statement, you might be accused of plain God. You don't know and I don't know when a human
being becomes a human being. So shouldn't we all respect and promote life? That's what human rights
are all about. Or am I wrong? The O'Reilly update will return with something you might not know.

Carolina Governor, Pat McCrory here from WBT Charlotte, filling in for Bill O'Reilly, and now the O'Reilly
update brings you something you might not know. During this 4th of July week, a time in which we
celebrate the founding of our country, it's fitting that we should take a few moments to reflect on
who we are as a nation. A quick glance at the headlines paints a bleak picture. In Portland,
in Oregon, we have a breakdown in basic civility as journalists become the target of left-wing
violence. On our store shelves, we have an iconic American brand, Nike, actually bowing to the
idea that the first flag of the United States is an offensive symbol. And in our nation's capital,
we actually have members of the United States Congress comparing our law enforcement officials
to guards at Nazi concentration camps.
Everywhere you look, it feels like politics has turned us into warring tribes.
But it would be tragic if we allow the negativity to cause us to look on our fellow citizens with contempt.
No matter our political party, no matter our race, gender, or religious beliefs,
we should always strive to view one another as members of the same community.
America. Yes, one of our greatest strengths is the melting pot of different cultures,
languages, lifestyles, and generations from which we come. But as the motto,
adorning the great seal of our nation reminds us, e-pluribus unum, out of many one. As Americans,
we set aside one day a year, the 4th of July, as a day to remember that we are all
inheritors of a great anomaly in the history of mankind, a nation where liberty is the norm,
where the rights of the individuals reign in the whims of government, and where opportunity and
happiness are ours if we're willing to reach out and grasp them. Do not take that inheritance
for granted. It is up to all Americans, black or white, rich or poor, to teach young people about
those rights and privileges and tell them to defend them at all cost. If we do that, we'll guarantee
those rights remain for generations to come. Have a great independence day. We'll be right back.
