Please go to TNUSA.com slash bill. Or call 800-245-6-0-0. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater. Thank you, Bill. Happy 4th of July.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Here's what's happening today in America. Dem Drama. Trump up where, plain trouble, and solemn acts of devotion. That's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, Biden told Democrat governors on a phone call that he's all in, not going anywhere, and that he's had a medical checkup with a doctor who has said he's in good health. Meanwhile, the Boston Globe editorial board, joining the New York Times editorial board,
Starting point is 00:00:51 calling on Joe Biden to resign. And they said the Democrats should have a primary. They said European nations routinely hold national elections that last only weeks. many Americans would be happy to have one so short. Kingmaker Jim Clyburn from South Carolina said he supports a mini-primary at the Democratic Convention in Chicago. The next big moment, Biden's going to do an interview
Starting point is 00:01:10 with George Stephanopoulos, Bill Clinton's former communications director. It was going to be split up into a couple different segments to air over the weekend, but now it's just going to be one primetime special in its entirety Friday, 8 o'clock Eastern. In Trump news, he has wisely stayed quiet. One poll has Trump leading Biden
Starting point is 00:01:28 by two points in New Jersey. Remember that 12-year-old girl who was murdered by two illegal aliens from Venezuela? Trump called her mother 10 minutes before the debate last Thursday. Her grandfather said, God bless Donald Trump. With former President Trump reaching out my blessings to him, God bless him, we have to have more reinforcement when it comes to letting people into the United States. This is not okay. In the busiest travel weekend ever,
Starting point is 00:01:54 a flight to New Hampshire was diverted after a man exposed himself and urinated in the aisle. He said he has a medical urination problem. He was also very drunk. Another flight from Detroit to Amsterdam had to be diverted to JFK because so many people got sick after eating rotten plain food.
Starting point is 00:02:12 If you're flying, stay safe out there. I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July. John Adams wrote to his wife, Abigail, 248 years ago. On this day, I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations. That's us as the great Annavents.
Starting point is 00:02:27 anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward, forevermore. I hope you have a great fourth. I'm Mike Slater. Bill O'Reilly has your message to the day. Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Theroux, the only dealer I trust, American Hartford Gold. And you can do this. Get precious metals delivered to your door. Or place in a tax advantage, gold IRA. They'll even help you roll over your existing IRA A or 401k, tax and penalty-free. Starting point is 00:03:41 Please call 866-326-55-7576 or text bill to 99-8899. Again, that's 866-326-5-7576 or text bill. to 998899. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Thursday, the 4th of July, let's talk about the United States. So most people I know say
Starting point is 00:04:12 they love their country and they pay their taxes and they vote. These are responsible people and I take them at the word that they believe America is the greatest country the world. All of my friends and acquaintances feel that way. I don't have anyone in my circle that diminishes or badmouse the USA. Of course, they don't like some policies, and they
Starting point is 00:04:40 complain, as we all do, but fundamentally they see the country as noble. The younger generation, however, is wavering, and that is because they do not understand, nor do they care very much, about the history of their country. They don't know that millions of Americans gave their lives and endured injury, blew up their whole life to defend the USA.
Starting point is 00:05:14 And in the process, we have freed billions with a billion people all over the world. If not for us, Hitler would have won and probably Japan as well. And then you go on and on and on and on, coal war, civil war, all of that. So if you know your history, you know your country is noble. Today it provides the most opportunity of any country in the world. Now, if that's not enough to celebrate on the 4th of July, I don't know what is.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Enjoy the holiday. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com, Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com, name in town if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail. Kevin McDaniel, Las Vegas, I listen carefully to your analysis, O'Reilly of the current Biden situation. You are spot on regarding the Democratic hierarchy, K Street and the corrupt media moguls.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I wonder when and how did we the people relinquish our rights to elect our own leaders. Media is powerful, but not influential. Isn't that an interesting statement? It's powerful because it still holds a television signal, and it's still prints newspapers. Most Americans, Kevin, they don't believe it anymore. Karen Porter, Reno, Nevada, if, and I say if President Botto removes himself from the election, what happens to the $197 million he's collected through campaign donations, goes to the Democratic Party because those donations aren't going to President Biden.
Starting point is 00:06:48 They're going to the political action committees supporting him. That's why he's still outraising money. Because if he's not there, it goes to whoever takes the place. Frank Kuhle, New York City. My question is, don't you think it would be foolish for Trump to do a second debate if Biden stays in? I don't know. I don't know. I'd have to see what the run-up to the debate is.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Certainly ABC News will be tougher on Biden, on Trump, I should say. than CNN was. That's a given. I think Trump would have to take a look at the polling and decide, but he'd take a hit if he doesn't show up. Trump will take a hit if he does not show up. Tie at work, Huntington, West Virginia,
Starting point is 00:07:42 the first words out of your mouth for your special broadcast on Friday or that you promised to give the best post-debate analysis. 100% you lived up to your promise. You are the master. Well, I appreciate that, Ty. I mean, we bragged, but we back it up, I think. We do. In a moment, something you might not know. One city often tops the list, Auckland. Here is a look at New Zealand's biggest city. The region is the ancestral homeland
Starting point is 00:09:08 of the Mori people. Its remote location in the South Pacific shielded the territory from European explorers for hundreds of years. The first English settlements were established in the early 19th century. The islands were declared part of the British Empire in the New Zealand Constitution Act of 1846. Today the nation is sovereign, but remains part of the British Commonwealth with King Charles as head of state. The city of Auckland is now home to 1.4 million people. When ranked, the town receives high scores in education, pleasant weather, excellent beaches, safe neighborhoods, and a thriving economy. The median household income is $80,000, $6,000 higher than the USA. The New Zealand health care system is considered the best in the world. Unlike public plans in other countries,
Starting point is 00:10:08 wealthy residents can purchase supplemental insurance to reduce weight times. A big feature for most Americans is the lack of traffic in New Zealand. The average Kiwi spends less than five minutes a day commuting. By comparison, folks in New York City enjoy 60 minutes of traffic during rush hour. Ockland has also produced some pretty famous people, including Mount Everest Clymer Edmund Hillary, country singer Keith Urban, director Peter Jackson, and actor Russell Crow. And here's something else you might not know. Ockland is one of the most affordable first world cities on the planet. A one-night stay at the Auckland Hilton costs just $90 U.S. dollars. The Hilton at Midtown Manhattan will set you back more than $500 a night.
