Please go to TNUSA.com slash bill or call 800-245-6-0-0. Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater. Thank you, Bill. Here's what's happening this week in America. the latest excuse, new Alzheimer's drug, and cookout prices go up. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first Donald Trump will not be sentenced on July 11th as planned.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Judge Moshan moved the sentencing until September. The Supreme Court said that a president has immunity for constitutional official acts as president. Quick note, murdering political opponents with CLE Team 6 is not a constitutional obligation for president, obviously. So there's a question if this hush money case is impacted by the Supreme Court's immunity decision. Now, all four of the cases against Trump may have fallen apart. We've got the latest excuse from the Biden White House about the debate to last week. He was having a bad day, an off day, bad lighting, bad camera angle, too much prep. He was too smart, too focused on minutia. Those are all very good. But here's the late.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Biden said, I wasn't very smart. I decided to travel around the world a couple times, going through, I don't know how many time zones. For real, I think it was 15 time zones. And I didn't listen to my staff. And then I came back and nearly fell asleep on stage. It's a good excuse. But the debate was 12 days after he got back to America.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Biden's family also said that the CNN makeup staff made him look too pale. But don't worry, Biden's first interview to calm the public about his mental state will be in a pre-taped, edited interview. So watch for the jump cuts with George Stephanopoulos, Bill Clinton's former communications director. In not unrelated news, the FDA approved a new Alzheimer's drug from Eli Lilly. This is to be used in the early stages of Alzheimer's and may slow the brain's decline. Eli Lilly says the drug will be available within weeks following this approval. Kassunla is the name of the drug. Kassunla.
Starting point is 00:02:30 Let's pray it as great results. The American Farm Bureau has been calculating the price of hosting a Fourth of July cookout for 10 people. And this year, since they've been tracking this for the last 11 years, is the most expensive cookout. Ground beef is up 11% from last year. They say cattle inventory is the smallest. It's been in 73 years, and beef and cold storage is setting record lows.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Lemonade is up 12%. Bonds are up 7%. And ice cream is up 7%. as well. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by Faith. The great Bill O'Reilly has your message to the day. Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. After the debate, Thursday night, I was on News Nation with Geraldo Rivera. And Geraldo is not a big fan of President Trump.
Starting point is 00:04:25 He doesn't really like Joe Biden as far as a politician is concerned, but he does like him as a human being. Now, I don't know Mr. Biden very well. I had one conversation with him in my life. He was all right, but we kept inviting him on The Factor when I was at Fox, and he didn't want any part of me, so he never came on. Now, Geraldo said he felt sorry for Joe Biden after the debate, that he wanted to, quote, give him a high. hug, which I think might have made Joe Biden's evening even worse, but who knows? I kind of feel the same way, but I'm not going to hug the man, but I feel sorry for him because he is the president of the United States and his life is in a free fall. I'm not one of these people
Starting point is 00:05:16 who wants to see ill I-L become of political opponents. Now, as you all know, I think Joe Biden is the second worst president of the United States ever. And I'll back that up in my upcoming book confronting the president's out September 10th. But as a human being, he was humiliated, Biden. And it was tough to watch that because he is the president of this country. So, no hugs, but I understand what Rivera was saying. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. you can reach me bill at bill o'reilly dot com bill at bill o'reilly dot com name in town if you wish to opine i let's go to the mail we've got havere bayez managua nicaragua and i pronounce that correctly bill i'm not a conspiracy guy but why would biden's team let him go through the debate
Starting point is 00:06:14 why were the cnn moderators so good they didn't bail biden out because they couldn't bail by now couldn't interrupt him and you couldn't do the it was a very very very he's structured. There's what the moderators can do. Here's what the candidates can do. As far as why they put him up, they thought that after the state of the union, Javier, where Biden got through it, that he could do the same in a debate with no notes. Pretty insane, right? There you go. Dan Jermick, Iron River, Michigan, I feel sorry for Biden after Washington debate. I question how his wife and others close to him would even put him in this position. It was sad. Joe Biden should be ashamed.
Starting point is 00:06:56 My opinion, Jill Biden wants power and that's it. Sharon. I admit I'm shocked that CNN did a fairly decent job moderating debate. They did manage to keep both candidates on topic most of the time, but President Trump had to rebut Joe as needed. But they didn't keep the candidate Sharon on topic. Candidates said what they want. There was no holding him accountable for that.
Starting point is 00:07:22 And that's just the way it was. James Milner, Kesswick, Virginia. The debates are what I thought they would be. They didn't tell us what they were going to do for our country. I would have liked more specificity, and that's what I'm recommending that Donald Trump do going forward. Joe Biden, I recommend a lot. He's wrecked it up. I mean, I don't know what else he could have said.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Bruce Tames, Winnipeg, Canada. Did Donald Trump just write up a list of answers? he planned to give tonight and decide to read them to heck with the questions. He took my advice, Bruce. All right. He wanted stuff out there. Trump wanted stuff out there and he got it out there. And Biden could not rebutt. In a moment, something you might not know. Hey, it's Sean Spicer from the Sean Spicer Show podcast, reminding you to turn into my show every day to get your daily dose inside the world of politics. The president of the United States is mentally diminished. With his capacity in doubt, there now has increased chatter about the 25th Amendment. So what's that? Well, here's a brief background on the legal process for removing a chief executive. The amendment was ratified in 1967 after the assassination of John and,
Starting point is 00:09:19 of Kennedy in 63. It provides clear constitutional rules for the appropriate transfer of power. There are four sections. Section 1. If the president is removed from office, the vice president shall become president. Section 2. If there's a vacancy in the office of vice president, the president himself or herself shall select a nominee who is then confirmed by Congress. Section 3. If the president is incapacitated, his executive powers are temporarily transferred to the vice president, who is called acting president. And the last section 4, and this applies directly to Mr. Biden, what to do if a president is considered unable to fulfill the duty of the office, but refuses to step down. Here's how that scenario plays out. Vice President Kamala Harris and a majority of cabinet members would notify Congress that Biden is unfit for office.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Presidential authority would immediately be transferred to the VP. Biden would have four days to resign. If he did not, the issue is sent to Congress. Two-thirds of the House and Senate must vote to remove the president. If the motion fails, the office is returned to Mr. Biden. The 25th Amendment has been invoked several times in our history, mostly during medical procedures. Section 4 has never been used, but seriously discussed three times. Ronald Reagan's cabinet considered the amendment towards the end of his administration when he was battling Alzheimer's.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Members of Congress lobbied Mike Pence to remove Donald Trump after January 6th. And now there is focus on a struggling Joe Biden. Back after this.
