Supreme Court win. Many more missing. Anti-China plan and some TSA sanity. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message to the day of first. The Supreme Court is allowing President Donald Trump to move forward with an executive order mandating a restructure of federal agencies and mass layoffs of federal workers. Katani Brown Jackson was the only of the nine justices to dissent. The lower courts will still have a process to go through and the Supreme Court may see this issue. specifically again, but in the meantime, the Trump administration can make their cuts. Trump also yesterday talked about if the federal government should take control back of Washington,
Starting point is 00:01:09 D.C. He said, we would run D.C. We're thinking about doing it, to be honest with you. We want a capital that's run flawlessly. There was some legislation that passed in 1973 that granted the residents of D.C. the right to elect their own local government, but Congress is still able to review local laws and the city's budget. The news from Texas keeps getting worse. No survival have been found since Friday in Kirk County where the worst flooding occurred, the statewide death toll has risen to 111 with 173 people still unaccounted for. It's 173 people still missing, which means the death toll could double or even more. The owner of an RV park said she knows exactly how many people were in her RV park that night. But then she said it's impossible to know
Starting point is 00:01:55 how many people were camping in the wild areas up and down the river, especially on a busy 4th of July weekend. The United States Department of Agriculture formally announced its National Farm Security Action Plan. Peter Navarro said that the Chinese Communist Party has used American supply chains and food systems as weapons against the United States. He says, we're the United States, but they treat us like a colony, noting that the Chinese have acquired Smithfield Foods and Syngenta.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Smithfield Foods was founded in Virginia. They make sausage and different packaged meats like Nathan Hotdogs. And Cigenta, among other things, makes foods, both of these companies now owned by the communists in China. Great news for freedom. You now no longer have to go through the humiliation ritual in TSA of taking off your shoes. This all happened because one idiot, Richard Reed, born to a Jamaican criminal in England,
Starting point is 00:02:53 converted to Islam while in and out of prison, then went to Pakistan and Afghanistan to become a member of al-Qaeda had explosives in his shoes and tried to light them on fire in the middle of a flight. Didn't work. And he was sentenced to four lifetimes in jail and Supermax in Colorado. But now we all forever have to take off our shoes before we get on a plane. Well, not anymore. It's Independence Day. From that at least. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next. Rated T for teen. Each year, thousands of adults lose their shred. Get Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 available now. time now for the o'reilly update message of the day on this wednesday deep anger is setting in in the progressive community as president trump continues to impose his vision on the country and indeed on the world despite the rhetoric and deceitful presentations by the hate trump media the president seems unstoppable so what's a dedicated progressive to do Congress is passing Trump's wish list. Supreme Court is slapping down legal objections.
Starting point is 00:04:25 The American people are in a wait and see posture. Therefore, there are a few avenues for progressives to take left-hand turns. I saw a Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer the other day on Long Island. He looked tired. At this point, he is the most powerful liberal in the country, but reality is taking his toll on Chuck. Polls say far-left Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez could actually beat him in a primary. Conservatives loathe Schumer, and he looks to be a man without a constituency. Now, Donald Trump caused that. He has little use for Schumer, even though they've
Starting point is 00:05:03 known each other for decades. The truth is, the senator has been badly beaten by the president. It is twilight time for the Brooklyn liberal. And indeed, for the entire progressive movement. At least for now, they have lost all momentum. People are suspicious of them, and their media allies are going down. That is the truth. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Bill at Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town, if you wish to opine. Let's go to the mail. We got Gerald who's a concierge member. This is important. Gerald is an access, direct access to me. So Gerald said,
Starting point is 00:05:53 Moss starts a new party and all it does is weaken the already chaotic Republican Party. The only people he would be helping in the power arena are the Democrats, not the regular folks. I don't know about that. I just don't think that there's a big group that's going to go into the America party. I don't think it's going to amount to much. Could be wrong. Kathy Ann, isn't independent a third party? You can register as one.
Starting point is 00:06:21 They have candidates. There's no structure for it, though. I'm a registered independent in New York. And I do that because I don't want to be bothered with a million, you know, political propaganda things sent to me. And I want to let people know that I'll vote for the best problem solver. But the independent party don't have a convention, they don't have a structure. It's more of a state of mind. Jeff Sifransky, somewhere, California.
Starting point is 00:06:55 My understanding is that a hospital is reducing staff in response to the Medicare changes through the big beautiful bill. Are you able to explain this, O'Reilly? Yeah, I mean, sure. If you have fewer people getting Medicaid, then the hospitals are going to be less crowded. And you don't need as much personnel. So what does that mean? Nobody's guaranteed a job in a capitalist society, except union people. But, hey, fewer people in hospital, fewer employees.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Linda Brown, Jacksonville, Florida. Sorry, Linda, I know you're not boring, or I wouldn't have picked your letter. I was wondering if you could give an update on Doge since Elon left. I don't have any update. I don't know what they're doing. I have no idea. But it's a good question, and we'll put out some feelers, try if we can define it, in a moment. Something you might not know.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, tropical drinks with little umbrellas. It detects leaks and stops your water main automatically from anywhere. So the only thing on your mind is having nothing on your mind, Moen. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 21 years ago today, the Senate issued a bipartisan report on Saddam Hussein's weapons program. The intelligence committee found the CIA and some members of the presidential cabinet overstated the threat to justify the invasion of Iraq. Here is the story. Immediately after the
Starting point is 00:08:56 9-11 terror attack, President George W. Bush accused the Iraqi dictator of cooperating with al-Qaeda. Bush deployed soldiers to the Middle East in March 2003. According to the intelligence community, Saddam was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction, biological, chemical, potentially nuclear. Saddam's regime collapsed after four weeks of fighting. The U.S. military easily defeated the Iraqi soldiers, many of whom deserted their units only to join local militias and terror networks. Despite unfettered access to Saddam's palaces, bases, and underground bunkers, no weapons of mass destruction were ever found. One year later, the Senate began its investigation.
Starting point is 00:09:45 On July 9, 2004, the committee released its report. The bipartisan group found the following, quote, the Central Intelligence Agency in several significant instances, abused its unique position in the intelligence community, particularly in terms of information sharing and its analysis concerning Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction Program, unquote, which meant that the U.S. exaggerated what Saddam Hussein might have had. Well, at night, President Bush addressed the American people defending his decision to topple Saddam's regime.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Despite early victories on the battlefield, the Iraq war dragged on for eight years. Conflict formally came to an end December 2011. Total cost $3 trillion, $4,000 Americans killed, another 30,000 wounded. And here's something else you might not know. Later in life, Bush the younger reflected on his decision to attack Iraq, wrote the president in his memoir, quote, No one was more shocked and angry than I was when we did not find the weapons. I had a sickening feeling every time I thought about it, I still do.
