Bill O'Reilly here. Wednesday, June 10th, 2020. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Here's what's happening today in America. New York City to paint Black Lives Matter on one street in each borough. A powerful NYPD union demanding officials stop treating police like, quote, animals. Illinois considers licensing all officers.
The New York Times fabricates a report that George Bush will not vote for Donald Trump.
The Attorney General confirms the FBI continued its Russia probe without any evidence.
Also ahead, what exactly is white privilege? But first, New York Mayor de Blasio announcing his plan to paint the words Black Lives Matter across major streets in all five city boroughs.
The proposal will rename prominent.
it rose after the radical organization, saying, quote,
it will now be clear that Black Lives Matter is in our city.
De Blasio has 18 months left in office.
Two of the biggest police unions in New York telling officials to stop trashing cops,
President of the state's police benevolent association, Michael O'Mara,
saying de Blasio and Governor Cuomo are, quote,
treating us like animals and thugs on,
quote. More than 300 members of the NYPD have been injured in violent protesting since last week.
About 800 police officers hurt nationwide. Illinois Governor Pritzker considering issuing licenses for
all police recruits in that state, the proposal would require any potential officer to apply
for a permit like teachers or lawyers. After multiple violations, the Attorney General could revoke
the license, but it could be appealed. A spokesman for President Bush the Younger shooting down
another New York Times story, saying allegations the former president will not vote for Donald
Trump are completely made up. That's a quote. The newspaper is a history of publishing false
stories in order to hurt Donald Trump. Turning General Barr says the FBI launched an aggressive
probe into President Trump while the evidence was, quote, falling apart, which is illegal.
Meanwhile, U.S. Attorney John Durham continues his criminal investigation into the origins of the
Russia collusion situation. The report is expected by August. In a moment, the phrase white
privilege, valid or a ruse? Right back with it.

face covers. Time now for the O'Reilly Update message of the day. The term white privilege
has taken root in America. It is being used to essentially guilt Caucasians into being sympathetic
to the plight of African Americans. Now, the best definition of white privilege I have heard
comes from an unusual source, Jimmy Kimmel, who's
who says, quote, people who are white, we don't have to deal with negative assumptions being
made about us based on the color of our skin. It rarely happens, if ever. Whereas black people
experience that every day, unquote. Well, there is no question that black Americans are scrutinized
in public more than white citizens are. Black people often get hassled by cops if they're riding around
in certain neighborhoods. If they go into a store and they are looking at items to buy,
many times clerks will scrutinize them, even follow them around. If you're white and you have
a swat stick, a tattoo on your neck, you might get scrutinized, but otherwise you won't.
Now, there's a problem with white privilege because whites and blacks in the USA do not have
shared experiences over racial bias and never will. So many whites are not aware of the daily
unfairness. For example, I don't get pulled over driving in a nice neighborhood, but a lot of my
black friends do. I can't share that experience. I don't know the pain that causes them. I can
sympathize that it's wrong, but I don't feel it because it doesn't happen to me. That's what the
white privilege deal is. Some say white privilege is an advantage in life. I do not believe that.
It's just a different life experience. So if you want to say, O'Reilly, your privilege, because the
cops don't pull you over when you're driving around, I go, okay, but maybe you're more inconvenienced
than privileged, correct? So if you walked into my home growing up in Levitown, New York,
three bedrooms, one bath, no air conditioning, as modest as you get, and you told my parents they had
white privilege, they would have said, what? My father probably would have yelled at you. My mother
would have given you meatloaf. So the term white privilege is used now in three ways. First, to send a
message to black people that you're never going to get a fair shot in America because whites have
the privilege. That is so awful. Can you imagine little children, black children, hearing you're
never going to get treated fairly because of skin color? Oh, off the chart. Secondly, white privilege
is being used for economic purposes that some black leaders say we have to get stuff because all the
whites have it now, and they got it because of privilege. And thirdly, it's used by evil people
to divide us. I truly believe that most Americans want to get along with other Americans of all
colors. As Martin Luther King once said, skin color doesn't matter. Character matters.
I'm Bill O'Reilly, and I approve that message by writing it. For more news analysis,

In a moment, something you might not know.
Working from home is causing the worst type of cybercrime, home title theft.
While we're doing everything from working, banking, shopping in the house,
cybercriminals are targeting our homes.
They want the money they can get by taking out loans against the house.
The crime is called home title theft and the FBI is warning all homeowners.
Home title lock protects your home from cyber thieves. Your home's legal title is online. Thieves can find it and
forge your signature stating you sold your home to them. Then they take out loans and leave you in debt.
Banks, insurance, and basic identity theft services do not protect you. Home title lock puts a virtual
barrier around your home's title. So please go to home titlelock.com and register
your address to see if you are already a victim. You can use a code bill for 30 free days of

know. Violent protests broke out in more than 100 cities across the USA. 12,000 people have been
arrested, thousands of businesses destroyed or damaged.
When President Trump suggested using the military to stop the looting, the New York Times accused him of, quote, havoc.
The Washington Post said Mr. Trump is moving the country closer to anarchy.
Despite the dishonest coverage, the 1807 Insurrection Act does permit the commander-in-chief to use active-duty soldiers on American soil.
and that has happened. In 1957, President Eisenhower used the 101st Airborne Division
to desegregate schools in Little Rock, Arkansas, after the Supreme Court's decision on Brown
versus the Board of Education. A decade later, President Johnson deployed troops to Detroit,
Chicago, and Baltimore during the race riots of the late 1960s. George Bush, the elder,
sent the military to the U.S. Virgin Islands to stop looting in the aftermath of Hurricane Hugo in
1989. Mr. Bush also used the Insurrection Act during the Los Angeles riots in 1992
after members of the LAPD were acquitted of viciously beating Rodney King. Five days of chaos
caused more than $1 billion in property damage. Now, most constitutional scholars agree that
president does have the authority to send in troops, if necessary, to protect Americans.
So how would that work? Well, Mr. Trump would issue a formal proclamation demanding insurgents
disperse and retire peaceably to their homes within a designated time. If they do not, hello, airborne
division. And here's something else you might not know. The military isn't only called in to break up
riots. In 1970, President Nixon ordered the military to deliver the mail as 150,000 postal
workers went on strike, shutting down delivery in 700 cities. Mr. Nixon's plan ultimately fell.
The mailman got their raises and had been on duty ever since. Back after this.
