Here's what's happening today in America. Trump at Fort Bragg, military parade, FBI fugitive, and ABC News senior correspondent, fired. It's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, Donald Trump, speaking at a ceremony celebrating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, talking about the riots in L.A. He said generations of army heroes did not shed their blood on distant shores only to watch our country be destroyed by invasion and third world lawlessness here at home like is happening in California. As commander chief, I will not let that happen. Armed National Guard troops have arrived in Los Angeles providing operational security to ice agents after they've been
Starting point is 00:01:25 facing attacks, of course, from anti-ice rioters. The soldiers are not. making any arrests on behalf of ICE. Roughly 150 border patrol agents have also been pulled from the southern border in California and Arizona to help control the riots. Speaking of the 250th anniversary, there is a military parade this Saturday in D.C. Trump said it's going to be a parade, the likes of which I don't know if we've ever had a parade like this, it's going to be incredible. He said thousands and thousands of soldiers will march through the streets and military
Starting point is 00:01:53 garb from various eras of the U.S. military. He said we have a lot of those army airplanes flying over. the top and we have tanks all over the place. He also said if any protesters want to come out, they will be met with very heavy force. There will be 28 Abrams tanks, 28 Bradley fighting vehicles, eight marching bands, 24 horses, two mules and a dog, 50 aircraft will be flying overhead as well. The FBI has named their suspect, the man who was on video chucking multiple rocks at ice vehicles as they passed by.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Someone got it on film and the FBI was on the hunt. They've identified their suspect, a 40-year-old Compton resident, El Pidio Reina. He's considered a fugitive now by the FBI. Dan Bongino said, turn yourself in. It's only a matter of time. They reward up to $50,000 for his arrest. ABC News has fired Terry Moran, long-time senior correspondent to ABC News. On Sunday morning, Moran posted that Stephen Miller is a
Starting point is 00:02:55 a world-class hater, said he's not the brains, it's the bile, and that hatred is his spiritual nourishment. ABC News said that we hold all of our reporters to the highest standard of objectivity, fairness, and professionalism, and remain committed to delivering straightforward trusted journalism, even though this is the guy who did Trump's 100-day special from the Oval Office. He was the same partisan hack then, as he is now, and most of them still are. I'm Mike Slater from Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly with your message of the day. Next. Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day. On this Wednesday, there are a number of reasons why the Trump administration sent the military
Starting point is 00:04:06 to contain the anti-ice riots in Los Angeles. We have discussed the politics of the action. It does benefit President Trump by pleasing his MAGA base. But there's a motivation rarely discussed. During the George Floyd riots in Minneapolis in the spring of 2020, 520 individuals were charged with serious crimes. You may remember the city was on fire, billions of dollars in damage, scores of people hurt, looting out of control. Well, out of those 520 cases, all but 26 were dismissed. The accused walked.
Starting point is 00:04:51 The liberals that run Minnesota did not want to punish the miscreants. President Trump believes the same thing would happen in Los Angeles. Few would be charged. Governor Newsom and L.A. mayor, Karen Bass, don't blame the lawbreakers. They blame the president for the riots. The thinking is, ICE should not even be in existence. Most deportation efforts should cease. In addition, relatively few violent protesters did time after the Rodney King riots in 1992
Starting point is 00:05:25 when President Bush, the elder used the military to stop the carnage again in L.A. I was there. It was dangerous. The Insurrection Act of 1807 gives all presidents the power to use the military when local authorities cannot ensure public safety, like now in L.A. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it, you can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Now let's go to the mail. Norman is a concierge member. Thank you, Norman, and we hope that you are benefiting from concierge membership on Bill O'Reilly. Big news is L.A. riots, not Elon Musk. Unless the number of violent protesters is relatively small in comparison of law-abiding California people and fake news is trying to blow it up. Now, fake news is exploiting it, but I don't think they're misrepefellate. reporting it. I didn't see any of that, and I watched closely yesterday, but they're blown it up. They got nothing else to do. And you're right. I mean, this ice stuff is far
Starting point is 00:06:30 more important that Elon. Lee Rogers, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Senator Johnson is willing to risk losing everything to the liberals in the midterms because he's inflexible on government spending. Would he rather be right or still in power in 26? I believe that Senator Johnson will vote for the bill. I think he knows what your point is, Lee. You know, just the takeaway that I got from interviewing him yesterday. Jim, concierge member, Bill, both you and Senator Johnson are ignoring the impact of making permanent the Trump tax cuts, which will likely give us more federal revenue. I'm not ignoring it. I've never ignored it. Okay. Yeah, the tax cuts will stimulate more tax receipts to the federal government. They'll get more money. But
Starting point is 00:07:17 but nothing like what it's going to take to bring down that $37 trillion debt. McKee Wolf, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I'm thankful, O'Reilly. You are sharing your experience and insights with us because you cut through all the ideological nonsense and tell it to a straight. What are the tangible reasons
Starting point is 00:07:37 the Far Left gives to justify their unbridled hatred for Donald Trump? They believe he's an authoritarian and he is on, there isn't one person progressive tenant, not one that Donald Trump supports. In a moment, something you might not know.
