Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thanks, Bill.
Here's what's happening this week.
the terrible pill, Trump to Detroit, banning face masks in New York and Joey Chestnut back on top, baby.
That's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, I am very pro-life and obviously very disappointed by the Supreme Court's decision about Miffipristone, the abortion bill.
63% of all abortions are now taken with this pill.
The Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the people who sued the FDA,
who do not want this pill to be as available as it is,
that they have no standing.
That is, they have not been harmed by the fact that the FDA
did not follow their own regulatory protocol on this drug.
There is a win in here.
The justice has said that emergency room doctors
are not required to give these pills,
that these pills do not constitute emergency medicine.
Donald Trump yesterday met with House
and Senate Republicans in D.C. back in the swamp.
But a more important meeting will be taking place tomorrow
at 4 o'clock at 1.80 church on Detroit's west side. A black church, Trump working to get more
of the black vote. When's the last time a Republican candidate went to the west side of Detroit
to talk to people directly there? Well, Don, I can't wait to see how this goes tomorrow, 4 o'clock.
Oh, how times change. The state of New York is considering a face mask ban on the New York City subway.
Why now?
Because so many people are using masks to cover their faces when committing crimes, and specifically, anti-Semitic crimes.
The governor said she was moved to act after a group donning masks took over a subway car, scaring riders and chanting things about Hitler and wiping out the Jews.
Joey Chestnut back on top.
He was on my list of traitors for bailing on the Nathan's hot dog eating contest on the 4th of July because he was participating in a fake lab grown.
meat vegan hot dog contest on Labor Day. Come on Joey. But good news. Netflix jumping all over it.
They will be hosting a mono-a-mano Joey Chestnut versus his rival Kobayashi. Chestnut v. Kobayashi
Unfinished Beef. USA versus Japan. Are you kidding me? I'm back in Chestnut's corner. September 2nd
on Netflix. I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast, Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message
of the day. Next.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
There's an interesting and relevant parallel between how Joe Biden runs the country and
supervises his own family. He is the Biden patriarch, as well as the president,
and as you know, and his decision-making is strange in both situations.
Hunter Biden never should have gone to trial.
The evidence that he illegally bought a handgun while addicted to drugs is overwhelming.
His defense was, well, I'm a drug addict, you can't hold me responsible.
Well, Hunter and his hapless but very expensive lawyers could and should have copped a plea
and taken the light sentence he will get in October.
without all the frenzy.
Instead, he allows federal prosecutors to embarrass him and his family.
His former girlfriend, even saying Hunter, led her into crack addiction.
Nice.
Joe Biden should have insisted that his son back off and plead guilty because he is guilty.
Now the president says Hunter might appeal.
appeal what the evidence is overwhelming so what can joe biden be possibly thinking i don't know
at this point i don't know if joe biden is capable of thinking at all but i do know this the
biden family collective resume has not been enhanced hunter is the only child of a president in
office ever to be convicted of a crime. The whole thing is one big mess, just like the
country. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at
Bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Okay, let's go
to the mail. We got Robert Cragan, Lincoln, California. Bill, I've watched you since the beginning
on Fox. I trust and appreciate your honesty.
think Donald Trump and his second presidency should revoke the security clearances of the
clowns who signed the letter claiming the Biden laptop was Russian disformation. Absolutely.
I would sign, I would, if any of them still have security clearances, boom. That was terrible
what those 51 guys did. I would, woo. Paul Williams, Fresno, California. I'm tired of hearing.
that Trump did nothing to quiet the crowd
in the Capitol building on January 6th.
What could he do?
The Secret Service was not going to let him out of the White House.
Wasn't about that.
It took Donald Trump three hours and 24 minutes
to issue a video statement telling the rioters to stop.
Too long.
So the riot started at 1253, okay?
And Trump's video, TV, came out of 417.
In the ensuing hours, almost every advisor that he had said,
Mr. President, you've got to get out and you've got to tell these people to stand
down, but he waited too long.
That is the truth.
I understand you might not want to believe it, but that is a truth.
Now, I'm not given an excuse, but there's an awful lot of chaos swirling.
But when you make a mistake, acknowledge it.
In a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 70 years ago, one of the
first rock and roll songs was put out as a B-Sodd. The song, Rock, O'Reilly Upd, and,
the clock bombed. Bill Haley and the Comets were the artist, but the song did nothing.
However, it hung around and eventually changed American culture. So we decided to rank the biggest
rock stars of the 1950s using Rolling Stone magazine as a source. Bill Haley and the
comments are not on the list. Number 10, the Drifters, hit song, There Goes My Baby,
spent 10 weeks at the top of the Billboard chart. Next, Buddy Holly, he was one of the most
successful acts in America before dying in a plane crash alongside Richie Valens and the Big Bopper
in 1959. Number eight, Ray Charles. The R&B singer was one of the first inductees at the
Rock Hall of Fame in 1986.
Number seven, the Everly Brothers, Phil and Don, followed by Little Richard, Chuck Berry,
and the Coasters, yackety yak, remember that?
The top three begins with Jerry Lee Lewis.
The P&S simply known as The Killer, racked up 15 number one hits, including a whole lot
of shaking going on and great balls of fire.
The second spot goes to Fats Domino.
Consider one of the early pioneers of rock,
Domino was one of the first artists to blend country, rhythm, and blues, and gospel.
Throughout his career, Fats sold more than 120 million albums.
Number one, you probably know it, the king Elvis Presley.
He had 68 single hits, including Hound Dog, Don't Be Cruel.
Rock, Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes.
Elvis has sold more than one billion with a bee albums in every country on earth.
Even North Korea allows his record sales.
And here's something else you might not know.
The rock genre dominated the American industry for 60 years, but today the style has fallen
back.
Biggest categories now, country pop and hip-hop.
Back after this.
Power, politics and the people behind the headlines.
