Hello, Riley here. It is Friday, June 28th, 2019. You are listening to the O'Reilly update,
and here's what's happening across our nation. Technology giant Google causing quite the
controversy when undercover journalists working with Project Veritas revealed widespread anti-Trump bias
among the company's hierarchy. One senior executive said on tape that Google was actively
working to prevent another, quote, Trump's situation from occurring in the 2020 election.
That video was quickly removed from YouTube, which was purchased by Google back in 2005.
YouTube made a similar move weeks ago, introducing new guidelines that remove videos deemed
extreme. The site went one step further, vowing to limit content executives consider,
quote, borderline. But the executives have yet to define.
what that actually means. Popular image-sharing website, Pinterest, now banning pro-life activists from
the platform, categorizing anti-abortion groups as, quote, pornography. This is a very dangerous
situation, especially when you consider the scope of these corporations. Industry Insiders say
more than 500 hours of content is uploaded on YouTube every single minute of every single day.
90% of the search engine marketplace, meaning an executive's decision to conceal content
will hide that information from 9 out of 10 people worldwide. The company's search engine
receives more than 63,000 requests per second. Instagram has 500 million daily users exchanging
photographs. There are currently more than 2 billion Facebook users across the planet.
Now, conservative commentator Dennis Prager has filed a lawsuit against Google and YouTube,
claiming the companies are illegally censoring his videos. A clear violation of his right
to freedom of speech, says Prager. That is a very important case. The White House, even planning
to hold a social media summit in Washington on July 11th to address the issue. President Trump
telling reporters his increasingly concerned Google and Facebook will quote,
rig the upcoming election. It's unclear whether they would rig it, but it's becoming quite clear
they could. The vast reach of these companies used by billions of people every day should concern
all Americans. Many of us use these services to receive information, but if the information is
censored, that will hurt the country. Coming up by message of the day on the dangerous situation
in Mexico, right back. The housing market on fire all over the country.

Time now for the message of the day, the trouble with Mexico.
In 2018, there were more than 33,000 homicides in that country, and the murder rate is already
up 10% in 2019. Most of the deaths fueled by drug wars between rival cartels.
An additional 30,000 human beings have gone missing in Mexico since 2016.
Most were murdered.
Five of the ten most dangerous cities in the world are in Mexico, including Tijuana and Acapulco.
95% of cocaine sold in the USA passes through Mexico.
Also, it is the largest foreign supplier of heroin and marijuana to Americans who cannot
control themselves. Corruption plays a major role in Mexico. Average salary for a law enforcement
person, 300 bucks a month. So many cops are open to accepting bribes. A local expression is
Plata O Plomo, which translates to silver or lead, meaning accept a bribe or be killed by the cartel.
According to the Corruption Perceptions Index, Mexico is ranked as
the most corrupt country in the Western Hemisphere and is the 138th worst country in the world.
The most corrupt Somalia.
According to the Business Anti-Corruption Index, more than 66% of businesses inside Mexico
say they have to deal with corruption every single day.
So, it is that Mexico, with a population of 129 million,
is a troubled place to say the least.
According to the U.S. State Department,
15 to 16 million U.S. citizens visit Mexico every year.
It is difficult to pinpoint the number of Americans living in Mexico.
Many have dual citizenship, but experts say about a million.
Mexican Americans make up 11% of the entire U.S. population at 31 million people.
Most of them live in Texas.
in California. There are an estimated 11.3 million illegal Mexican immigrants in the USA. Most are
hardworking and law-abiding. But the desire to come El Norte is significant and has overwhelmed
U.S. authorities. Why? Well, the median income in Mexico is $5,000 a year. Forty-five percent of the
population lives in extreme poverty.
Only 20% of Mexicans have a college degree.
Less than 10% of Mexicans have private health insurance.
Most hospitals are run by the government.
They provide health coverage, but the lines are long and the care is dicey.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development ranks Mexico last in life expectancy,
death from heart disease, death from cancer, number of nurses,
and number one, an out-of-pocket cost for health care.
And the people don't have any money.
Multiple welfare programs for poor, elderly disabled, rarely function.
The poorest Mexicans get $550 a year from their government.
So you can see our neighbor to the south is very troubled
and is causing trouble for us in the north.
The American government must deal with Mexico.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know.
The July 4th holiday quickly approaching, starting America's busiest travel season of the year.
Polls show more than 40% of us plan to hit the roads over the next three months.
The average family of four spends two weeks' pay on their annual vacation,
with most Americans opting to drive rather than fly in 2019.
According to travel experts, 33% plan on touring other parts of the country.
28% will explore their own region, and 22% will stay within the borders of their home state.
Here are the top 10 hotspots for tourists this year in America.
Four of the top 10 destinations are part of the national park system.
Millions of Americans will descend on Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, and the Grand Canyon in the coming months.
The park service was introduced in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson and currently operates 418 sites all across the USA.
Three major American cities also made the list.
New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. Each town hosts major attractions and sightseeing tours
to landmarks known all over the world. A stop at these cities, however, will likely cost
500% more than a visit to one of America's national parks. Honolulu and Maui also attract
millions of Americans looking to visit the tropics without leaving the country. The Hawaiian
Island saw severe drop in tourism following the 9-11 terror attacks, but cheaper airfare has
lured back visitors in recent years. But none of these locations were able to dislodge
the most popular summer tourist destination in America, dating back decades. Forget the cities,
the parks, the beaches. The happiest place on earth, Orlando, Florida, remains the number one
spot for travelers across the country. The city hosts 10 major theme parks, six water parks,
three championship golf courses, and hundreds of local attractions. Disney alone owns more than 40
square miles of property throughout the Orlando area. So whether your family is planning to tour
the Grand Canyon, catch a Broadway show, or spend some time with Mickey Mouse,
remember, our country is blessed with natural beauty, towering cities, and adventure, unlike any place
on earth. We'll be back after this. Bill O'Reilly here, and I'll lay odds that the title and
mortgage to your home just hit the hands of identity thieves. One of the largest real estate
title companies in the world leaked hundreds of millions of homeowner files. And I'm betting
documents about your home, including loans, mortgages, and bank accounts, are up for sale
illegally, internationally. And once thieves have them, they'll forge your
home's title so it appears you sold your home. Then they'll borrow thousands from online lenders
and stick you with the payments. I've seen this firsthand and no identity theft program or insurance
covers you. The first 30 days are crucial. So I got you 30 days of free title and mortgage protection
from home title lock. Home title lock puts a virtual barrier around your home's online title
to help block identity thieves. Register your address now to verify you're not already a victim
and get 30 days of free protection. No obligation. Do it all online. Go to hometidalock.com. Hometidalock.com.
