Food stamp fraud. Jobs way up. Bolton reaches plea deal. And Trump will be the first president to do this. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, in a hearing, the Agriculture Secretary, Brooke Rollins,

talked about how the Trump administration is combating food stamp fraud. She said the USDA has never had. had access to state snap data that's food stamps, not until this administration demanded it. That's why every figure from years past is meaningless. From the 29 states that did share data, we've already identified at least $3 billion a year in fraud. Extrapolated nationwide, it's more than $10 billion. This isn't erroneous payments, it's fraud.

In the hearing, she called out a Democrat congresswoman. She said, you just said the quiet part out loud. Democrats want as many people on welfare as possible. She said, I just don't think you want people to work. I think you want more people on government programs and not working. It's remarkable. Speaking of work, businesses in America added more jobs than expected in May, a signal that the economy's demand for labor is accelerating.

Private sector payrolls rose by 122,000. Biggest increase since January of 2025. The construction industry added 8,000 workers to its payrolls, manufacturing, 3,000 new jobs. Trade transportation and utilities added to 36,000. The biggest gain, though, came in education and health services, added 57,000 workers. Professional and business services, finance, and leisure and hospitality, all added workers as well. John Bolton reached a plea deal over classified information. He plans to plead guilty to a single count of illegal retention of classified information and pay a fine,

facing anywhere from no prison time to five years when he's sentenced. If he went to trial and lost, he could be facing decades in prison. The original 18-count indictment against Bolton accused him of using personal email and a messaging app to share more than a thousand pages of notes, which included national defense information with two family members who did not have security clearances. This was as he was writing a memoir about his time in the White House. He could also face a fine of over $2 million. The president said he intends to attend game three of the NBA finals at Madison Square Garden. this would be the first sitting president to attend an NBA finals game.

And he might do two games, game three and game four. This is at the invitation of the owner of the New York Knicks. The NBA commissioner said Donald Trump, before he ever ran for office, was a big Knicks fan. I was there at many Knicks games with him in the old days. He attended many of our drafts when they used to take place at Madison Square Garden. Last I checked, court side seats for the game, $75,000 each, $9,000 just to get in the front door. for the worst seats in the house. I'm Mike Slater from Politics by Faith.

Inflation, 77%. which means the 70 million people who live inside Iran, mostly Persians, are having trouble buying essentials like bread because the Iranian government is so aggressive and so heinous that now it is at war with the USA and Israel. But that conflict is hurting not only the combatants, but other people. other nations who are sitting it out. Inflation here in the United States run about 3.8 percent, little higher than when Joe Biden was president, but not a disaster.

Inside European countries, the situation is more dire. Now, I don't feel sorry for them over there at the EU. They're not helping out. I wrote a book called Confronting Evil, and a book's thesis was simple. if you don't take care of miscreants, particularly people with nuclear weapons, if you're going to let that flourish, then you're going to have a lot of trouble. And that's what the EU is doing. But they're getting punished.

One issue has become the most divisive and discussed topic in Europe. Migration. Here are the facts. Immigration policy for members of the European Union, the EU, is enacted by a headquarters mandate in Belgium, not in the individual countries. In the early 2000s, the EU decided to open Europe's borders to asylum seekers from the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. The results have been catastrophic. In 1999, the foreign-born population of Ireland was less than 2%. Today, that figure has exploded to 23%.

In 2025, Ireland spent 1.5 billion euros to provide health care to the migrants. Money, Dublin does not have. A similar story is unfolding across Europe. In Germany, taxpayers hand out 25 billion euros for entitlements concerning foreign nationals. The process in Britain is slightly different. The UK left the EU in January 2020, mostly because of the migration situation. However, London still allows mass migration from its former colonies, places like India, Pakistan, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Africa, Egypt, and Iraq.

In 1980, the farm-born population of England was just 4%. Now it's 21%. More than 40% of London's residents were born outside the UK. Today, tension is boiling over as millions of British people protest what they consider the erasure of their ethnic. culture, mostly because of all the Muslims now living in the UK. And here's something else you might not know. Just one major country in Europe does not follow the EU.
