Bill O'Reilly here Monday, June 7, 2021. You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Here's what's
happening today in America. Donald Trump speaking in North Carolina. Senator Manchin from
West Virginia rebuking his party's voting rights bill. A majority of Democrats believe Americans
should stay home even after COVID subsides. Japan moves forward with the Summer Olympics.
Disney, theme parks now too expensive for most families. Also, I had a rather large announcement about
President Trump. Wow. But first, the 45th president addressing a crowd in North Carolina
after three months of relative public silence. The event was not covered live by the corporate
media, including Fox News. Mr. Trump targeting President Biden, the economy, and his two-year ban by
Facebook, saying the 2020 election will go down in history is, quote, the crime of the century.
Democratic West Virginia Senator Manchin announcing he will not support his party's voting rights bill
already passed by the House. So the legislation will likely die in the Senate. The bill would
impose federal rules for state and local elections, which may be unconstitutional. New Pole,
Gallup says most Democrats believe folks should remain indoors despite half the population
being fully vaxed against COVID. 71% of progressives say Americans should, quote, stay in their
homes as much as possible to avoid the virus. Eight and ten Republicans tell Gallup, it's time to
return to business as usual. Amazing how COVID has been so politicized. Officials in Tokyo confirming
the Summer Olympics will take place this July despite the COVID chaos in Japan. Organizers will
isolate all athletes inside the so-called virus bubble. Should outbreaks occur, fans will be
banned from live competition. This could wind up as a disaster. Families hoping to visit
Disneyland this summer should start saving. Recent studies says the parks
are way too expensive for families earning less than $75,000 a year. A third of adults report
they would like to visit Disney World and Disneyland, but they can't afford it. The average price
for a vacation at the Mouse Factory, $6,000 counting hotels, airfare, and food. In a moment, Donald Trump
in history, a major event is taking place. Right back with that.
Time now for the O'Reilly Update message of the day. Big announcement this morning,
President Trump and I, your humble correspondent, will be doing a series of conversations
across the United States that will be history-based. A quote from the press release,
again issued this morning. President Donald J. Trump, to discuss the history of his
administration with Bill O'Reilly in a limited engagement national tour,
From January 2017 to January 2021, the 45th president of the United States presided over an especially
intense period for the United States of America. From the pandemic that killed hundreds of
thousands to the speedy development of a vaccine, to the rise of the economy, to the global
challenge from China. Donald Trump was the dominant decision maker and the most powerful person
in the world. In a series of live conversations across the country, Mr. Trump,
and historian journalist Bill O'Reilly, that's me, will discuss exactly how things were accomplished
as well as challenges both good and bad. The press release continues. Quote, dubbed the history
tour, President Trump will provide a never-before-heard inside view of his administration,
which will be historical in and of itself. These will be wonderful but hard-hitting sessions
where we'll talk about the real problems happening in the USA,
those that the fake news media never mentioned, President Trump says.
I will be focusing on the greatness of our country,
something seldom discussed in political dialogue.
If we don't make our country great again,
we will soon no longer have a country.
I look forward to working with Bill,
who right now has the number one bestselling book
to openly discuss the real problems of our country and how to solve them.
Additionally, it will be fun, fun, fun,
for everyone who attends. That from Donald Trump. My quote is this. My job as a historian journalist
is to get important things on the record in a fact-based way. These conversations with the 45th
president will not be boring, unquote. Now, the tour opens on December 11, 2021 in Sunrise, Florida,
at the BB&T Center, then continues on December 12th in an undisclosed location. We'll have that for you soon.
Then in Houston, Texas, and Dallas, on December 18th and 19th, at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas
and the Toyota Center in Houston. Tickets on sale Monday, June 14th at 10,000.
am. So this is going to be quite an event. You can expect many, many topics to be covered,
and if you Google my past interviews with Mr. Trump to get a flavor, you will see they were not
cupcakes. This is about history. Unfortunately, because the media is invested in hating or loving
Donald Trump, we got very little factual reporting about his administration. This will all change
in the national tour featuring President Donald Trump and me. And I consider myself very lucky
to be part of this. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. For more news
analysis, which is honest, please visit Bill O'Reilly.com, and please check out my new aforementioned book,
the mob, currently the best-selling non-fiction book in the world. In a moment, something you
might not know. Now, the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
245 years ago this month, a group of Spanish explorers established a small village on the Pacific
ocean. The tiny town was built around a military fort and a Catholic church, and it was named
San Francisco, St. Francis, in English. It would become the, quote, Paris of the West,
and it was once described by FDR as America's future. Chinese miners called it Gold Mountain.
But today, far-left politics and one-party rule have ruined the city by the bay.
Here's a recap. In the 19th century, the flags of five different nations flew over the San Francisco area.
England, Spain, Mexico, the California Republic, and finally, the United States of America.
The discovery of gold in the 1840s lured explorers from all over the world.
Population went from 5,000 in 1840 to 100,000 in less than two decades.
During World War II, San Francisco was known as the Arsenal of Democracy,
housing thousands of sailors, including my father, and hundreds of ships as America fought the Empire of Japan.
By the 1950s, the population reached one million in San Francisco.
It was the fastest-growing city in the country.
Now, the city by the bay would dominate throughout the 1960s and early 70s,
becoming the center of the counterculture, anti-Vietnam War movement,
and the campaign for gay rights.
But since then, the city by the bay has been in steep decline.
Right now, on average, prosecutors dismiss 40% of all crimes in San Francisco.
Drug overdose deaths topping 1,000 this year.
Arson up 50%, burglaries up 55%, car theft up 30%, murders up 25%.
Crime in general, particularly violent crime seems to be unstoppable in San Francisco.
That city has the biggest wealth gap in the USA. Top earners make 20 times more than those at the bottom.
Average home price, $1.4 million. Median rent, $4,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
Real estate of values and drug addiction have sparked the biggest homeless crisis in America.
Back after this.
Thank you for listening to the O'Reilly update.
I am Bill O'Reilly, no spin, just facts, and always looking out for you.
