Bill O'Reilly here.
You are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thanks, Bill.
Here's what's happening this week in America.
Trouble in paradise.
Unanimous decision.
Ice milestone.
And this quarterback playing for another year.
It's all coming up.
Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, whew, Elon and the president.
So Elon doesn't think that the Big Beautiful Bill cuts enough spending.
That's, to put it nicely.
So they had some back and forth on the X yesterday.
Among other things, Elon said, without me, Trump would have lost the election.
Dems would control the House and Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.
Such ingratitude.
He later said time to drop the really big bomb.
Donald Trump is in the Epstein files.
That's the real reason why they haven't been made public.
Have a nice day, DJT.
Trump said, I've always liked Elon.
And so I was very surprised you saw the words he had for me and he hasn't said anything about me that's bad.
I'd rather have him criticize me than the bill because the bill is incredible.
The Supreme Court in a nine-nothing decision in favor of an Ohio woman who wanted to bring an employment discrimination claim against the state,
alleging she was passed over for a job on the basis of her heterosexual orientation.
The plaintiff, Marlene Ames, alleges that her employer, the Ohio Department,
Department of Youth Services denied her promotion and later demoted her in both cases selecting gay
candidates who were less qualified. Her supervisor at the time was also gay. Title VII of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex and sexual orientation.
They call this reverse discrimination, but it's just discrimination. Now, the ruling means that Ames'
lawsuit can move forward, but doesn't necessarily mean that she will succeed in the case against
her former employer. Arrests by ICE during Trump's
first term topped 100,000. ICE recorded more than 2,000 arrests each day of the previous
two days, an ice increase from the most recent daily average of 660 arrests during the first
100 days of Trump's term. Stephen Miller has pushed ICE for a minimum of 3,000 arrests every
day. ICE has been holding around 54,000 immigrants detained in detention facilities across the country.
The Trump administration is a part of the big beautiful bill asking Congress to give ICE billions of
to have additional deportation officers and expand detention capacity to hold 100,000
individuals at any given point.
Aaron Rogers will join the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 41-year-old quarterback has confirmed this decision.
He was let go by the New York Jets at the end of last season, was considering retiring.
Reports are the contract is $20 million.
Rogers will play his 21st season in the NFL, and who is the first game against the Jets.
I'm Mike Slater from Politics by Faith.
Riley with your message of the day. Next.
Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for MintMobil. Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that
Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun
if we made $15 bills. But it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea
for the commercial. Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch. A brunt payment of $45
for three month plan equivalent to $15 per month required. New customer offer for first three months only.
Slow after 35 gigabytes of networks busy.
Taxes and fees extra.
Seamintmobile.com.
Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
In real life, I don't watch a lot of television news because I learn very little by doing so.
Yes, I run my own news agency, so I have access to information far beyond most folks.
But the main reason TV media fails me is because it's incredibly lazy while in the Far East,
the end of May. I watched CNN in the evening because that was my only source for American
News. No Fox, no NBC. CNN has the overseas market locked up. Because of the 12-hour time
difference, I was consuming CNN's morning program. It featured skilled broadcasters. They were good,
but the presentation was mostly biased and foolish. Here's what the network does.
It selects a topic, say Trump's battle with Harvard.
Then it brings in a guest who bashes the president without challenge or even interruption.
Over and over again, this happens.
Liberal guests bloviating while the anchor naps.
And I don't blame the newsperson.
It's incredibly boring, predictable, a waste of time.
This lazy formula is not working.
as CNN's viewership has dramatically declined.
Yet the producers seem satisfied because every day it's the same thing.
Why? I don't know. It's not difficult to mix it up with different points of view.
Yes, CNN is a left-wing network. Yes, it's failing.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.

Male, Colleen, a concierge member now.
Colleen has my crew watching her back.
I'm telling you this is an insurer, and it's so inexpensive.
Come on, concierge member, belowreilly.com, free book.
You get into any problems, you want to know anything right to us within 24 hours.
We get back to you.
All right, Colleen says, propaganda coming out of China for years depicts a great country.
country where all the people are happy.
That propaganda has adversely impacted our younger generation.
Many believe that communism is a wonderful form of government and the U.S. should convert
to it.
I don't see it that way, Colleen.
I don't think there are many communists in America.
There are some socialists, but they're basically people who don't want to compete.
They're lazy people.
The propaganda out of China is ignored by young Americans.
And Americans have no idea what's going on over there, generally.
speaking. Don is a concierge member. Thank you, Don. All well said, Bill, but I do not trust China.
They have their agenda of world domination, and that includes putting America down. Well, it doesn't
really matter, and I don't mean it is to be flippant or rude, whether you trust them or not, Don.
I don't trust them. Who would trust them? But there's no plan B. You either make deals with
them or the world descends into violent chaos. That's it.
Thomas Merckes, Maryville, Tennessee.
As far as Taiwan and relations for peaceful unification, China does have a proven track record and it's not good.
All you need to do is look at the promises they made a Great Britain over Hong Kong.
And we see how the Chinese communist word means nothing.
Again, same answer.
There's no plan B.
You get a deal and you hope the deal works out well for China and they don't go back on it.
That's it.
In a moment, something you might not know.
Power, politics, and the people behind the headlines.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
Vacation season officially underway.
The summer, millions of Americans will enjoy the warm weather with road trips and flights to
far-off beaches.
Here are the best travel destinations for 2025, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report.
In the USA, top five starts with New York City, followed by San Diego, Vegas, Honolulu.
But the number one destination in America, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the island's home
to beautiful beaches, restaurants, and also some great white sharks.
The predators have been videotaped swimming just a few yards offshore where the tourists were oblivious.
So if you're going at Cape Guide, you've got to keep your eyes on the water.
Overseas, Americans are heading to the U.K. and Ireland in great numbers.
Folks looking for tropical climates are going to Brazil, the Bahamas, Mexico.
If you are going south of the border to Mexico, you better be careful.
Drug cartel violence is now.
ramped in all the resort areas. But the fastest growing trend is right here in the USA
camping. The summer 42 million Americans will spend at least a night under the
stars. Most popular destinations are the national and state parks. Yosemite,
Joshua Tree, Big Sur, Yellowstone, Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Canyon. While
most folks travel for the natural beauty, another advantage is the price. The average
campsite in the USA will set you back $15 a night. Between groceries, sleeping bags, flashlights,
bug spray, a few days in the woods is less than $100. And here's something else you might not know.
America's national park system is home to the most diverse ecosystems on Earth. From the Florida
Everglade Swamps to the mountains of Alaska. The parks encompass 85.
million acres of land, 18,000 animal species, 50,000 different plants. But tourists, beware,
parks are also home to some vicious predators. Grizzlies, wolves, pythons, alligators,
polar bears, even killer bees. Bring that bug spray. But have a good time. Back after this.
