Bill O'Reilly here.
You are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thank you, Bill.
Here's what's happening this week in America.
Biden's budget explodes, but not as much as the cartels budget.
Mitch McConnell hospitalized and a college basketball game has never been stopped for this reason before.
That's all coming up.
And then Bill will be here with the message of the day of the first.
Joe Biden's budget is 1.1.1.
trillion more than last year's insane budget.
The top tax rate is going to go back to what it was before Trump cut them.
So from 37% back up to 39.6.
The Obamacare tax increase will go from 3.8% to 5% on investment income.
The corporate income tax will go from 21 to 28%.
And the big one is the doubling of the capital gains tax from 20% to 39.6%.
But don't worry, it's all only on the rich.
They always say.
The Republicans in the House say the proposal is D-O-A.
You're not getting rich, but the cartels sure are.
New York Times reporting, a Department of Homeland Security report
that says the cartels in 2018 from human smuggling made $500 million a year.
I was in 2018.
Now, they're making $13 billion.
That's a 2,600% increase in just five years.
Business is good.
for the cartels.
Ted Cruz said Joe Biden becoming president is the best thing that ever happened to the Mexican
drug cartels.
Mitch McConnell was at a dinner event on Wednesday night at a DC hotel when he tripped and fell
and got a concussion.
He's been in the hospital.
He's 81 years old.
Diane Feinstein just got out of the hospital for shingles.
She's 89.
When are we going to have a conversation on whether or not it's wise to have people in their
80s and 90s run our country?
John Fetterman, the senator from Pennsylvania, he's been hospitalized as well.
So the Democrats are down a bunch of people.
Actually, because the Democrats are down so many people, Kamala Harris, the vice president,
has had to be the tie-breaking vote.
Actually, she's about to break the record for the most tie-breaking votes in the Senate.
The record is held by John C. Calhoun in the 1820s with 31.
Kamala is tied for number two with Vice President John Adams.
The college basketball conference tournaments are underway in the
Big 12 tournament, number 10 Baylor, was playing Iowa State in the quarterfinals.
And late in the second half, play stopped.
For a reason I've never seen before, there was a nail protruding from the court.
The game had to be stopped until the guy with the hammer could come and knock it back in.
I've never seen that before.
Selection Sunday for March Madness is this Sunday, March 12th.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
We are being scammed.
We the people of the United States.
The problem is, many of us don't care.
Here's the sting.
President Biden says he is cutting the deficit.
Even the ladies on the view should know that's not true.
But then again, enter the Congressional Budget Office.
Bean counters, numbers people, can't inject ideology into it.
The CBO puts forth that the projected deficit for 10 years ending in 2013 is 20.26 trillion.
But wait. Before Biden took office, a projected deficit for 10 years was $12.27 trillion.
So Joe, the deficit cutter, has added a projected $8 trillion in deficit spending in just two years.
Way to go, Joe. No president has ever come close to that.
For you bankruptcy fans, this is great.
Joe Biden, big tipper with our hard-earned money.
Also, President Biden wants to raise taxes again on the affluent
as he slouches his way toward socialism.
But you will never hear him say that because he is.
a deficit cutter.
I'm Bill O'Reilly.
I approve the message by writing it.

Name in town if you wish to opine.
Now let's go to the mail.
Jeffrey.
How is it possible to find common ground
with half the population that hates the country
and believes it's evil?
You can't.
But not half the country believes that.
All right?
I'm a hardcore 20%, 20%, hate the country.
The other 30 in the liberal category,
not quite catching on to the danger.
But if you know a hardcore anti-American person,
there's no common ground there.
None.
I won't deal with them.
Roger Rice, Katie, Texas.
I've been a premium member for a few years.
I watched the NOSPA News Daily.
My wife and I and family of 25 are going from Galveston,
Texas to Mexico on a cruise two port stops Cozumel, Coast of Maya. Should I not go? No, go.
You booked it, 25 people. Cozumel is fine. Cartels are not there. You got to watch
Costa Maya. Though just stay in the group. A lot of Mexican military around these stops for the cruise ships.
Mexico knows. It can't be gunning down cruise ship people. But in principle, I don't go to Mexico
because it's corrupt and hurts America. But I think you should go and have a good time.
Bob Walker, Bentonville, Arkansas. I've been traveling with my wife to Mexico for the month of
January. We drive from Phoenix, cross the border, and then go to Porta Panasco, located on a sea of
Cortez. My wife and I feel very safe. Okay, Bob, look, I'm just telling you what I'm doing.
Okay, Galveston, you're driving there from Galveston, Bentonville to Galveston, okay, but if we're
me, I go to the Caribbean. In a moment, something you might not know.

Now, the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know.
Recent polls from Gallup show 50% of Americans plan on traveling this summer for some R&R.
For those planning a family vacation, there are a few places folks should avoid some right here in the USA.
Here are the most dangerous cities on Earth as ranked by the World Atlas Review.
Number 10, Cape Town, South Africa.
The town boasts the highest kidnap rate on the planet.
Cape Town is a beautiful place, but dangerous.
Next, South Paulo, Brazil.
Current activities like assault, scams and pickpocketing,
are terrifying both residents and visitors.
I've been to Rio, not Sao Paulo,
and I don't plan to go.
Number eight, listen to this.
New Orleans, Louisiana, 40 homicides per 1,000 residents.
The most gang activity in the USA, the highest number of shootings per capita.
Crime in the Big Easy up 85% compared to 2019.
Number seven, St. Louis, Missouri, the highest homicide rate in America.
St. Louis also leads the nation in rape, home invasions, and drug addiction.
The next five are located in Mexico.
Juarez, Tijuana, Acapulco, Los Cabos, Cancun.
Cartel violence has completely consumed our southern neighbor.
Because of the corruption in Mexico, I will not travel there.
More than 35,000 people are killed in Mexico every 20.
months, another 30,000 disappear. Most likely, they are dead, killed by the drug cartels.
The most dangerous city on earth, Mogadishio Somalia. The national governor of Somalia
controls just 5% of that city. The rest is occupied by terrorists, pirates, militias. The odds
of being a victim in Mogadishu, one in five. So, don't go there. By the way, the safest place
on earth is Japan. Very little crime there. Back after this. Hey, I'm Caitlin Becker, the host of
