Bill O'Reilly here, Tuesday, March 15th, 2022.
You are listening to the O'Reilly update on the aides of March.
Here's what's happening across our nation.
Ukraine's president to speak before Congress.
Vladimir Putin invites foreign fighters to join his invasion.
Polls show inflation, the country's biggest concern.
A majority of workers regret quitting on the job.
during the pandemic.
Also, I had conspiracy theories.
Why do Americans love them?
But first, Ukrainian President Zelensky will address the U.S. Congress Wednesday morning.
The virtual speech is open to all members.
Nancy Pelosi and Senator Chuck Schumer extending the formal invitation, writing, quote,
The Congress remains on wavering in our commitment to supporting Ukraine as they face Putin's cruel and diabolical aggression.
We will support them as they bravely defend democracy, unquote.
The dictator Putin inviting foreign fighters to join his campaign against Ukraine,
the Kremlin asking soldiers from the Middle East for help.
Russia now recruiting troops from Syria and Iran, according to Moscow, which is, of course,
not reliable, 20,000 applicants have already enlisted.
The UN believes 1,000 civilians and 10,000 soldiers,
have already died in Ukraine since the conflict began on February 24th.
Survey from Rasmussen says inflation is the biggest concern for voters heading into the
midterm elections. Eighty-eight percent say high prices are the number one issue followed
by violent crime, election integrity, school issues like critical race theory, then illegal
immigration. Prices up 10 percent since President Biden's inauguration, hardest hit items,
energy, food, furniture. COVID falling from the top five biggest concerns for the first time.
39% are very concerned, however, with the contagion, down from 80% 12 months ago.
Most Americans who quit their jobs during the pandemic regret it.
Seven and ten employees who left positions are having trouble rejoining the workforce.
24 million full-time jobs were slashed when COVID closed.
economy back in April 2020. Since then, another 23 million Americans have voluntarily quit.
Economists blame the slow recovery on generous government benefits like rental assistance,
unemployment insurance, and stimulus checks. But now they have stopped. In a moment,
are you a conspiracy person? Will debunk some of those? Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy
is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update.
Message of the Day, we are all living in the United States of Conspiracy.
First of all, you can make money peddling conspiracy theories.
And as always, people believe what they want to believe.
So let's take a look at a few conspiracies.
First, Russian collusion. It said that the presidential campaign of Donald Trump worked with the Kremlin
to steal the election of 2016 from Hillary Clinton, The Facts. After two years of investigation,
Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence of any conspiracy. That broke the heart of people like NBC
pundit Rachel Maddow, who for months convicted Donald Trump and his associates for dealing
with Russia. But it wasn't true. However, Ms. Maddow, who never apologized, made millions of dollars
as NBC offered her a new fat contract. So again, you can make money peddling conspiracy theories.
Number two. Dominion voting machines stole the election from Donald Trump. The machines were filled with pre-existing votes for Biden or were hacked and manipulated from overseas. Here are the facts. No evidence exists that Dominion machines were altered in any way. The company has now launched massive lawsuits against Fox News, Rudy Giuliani, and other Trump campaign lawyers. If you want to prove a conspiracy,
You must develop hard evidence that a court of law will accept.
Third conspiracy.
The January 6th Capitol Riot was a false flag operation planned by federal agents,
mainly the FBI to undermine Donald Trump and his allegations of voter fraud in 2020.
The facts, not a shred of evidence, has been presented that,
anyone working for a federal agency promoted or participated in the riots?
There is no evidence at all.
Fourth, conspiracy.
The COVID-19 virus originated in a Wuhan lab that received funding from the United States government.
The facts.
The origin of COVID remains unclear.
However, it is true and provable.
that the USA donated money to the Wuhan lab under the National Institute of Health
headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, and he misled everyone about that.
Final conspiracy today, the American government operating a series of labs in eastern Ukraine
to research biological warfare, the facts.
America and Ukrainian scientists conduct joint research in some labs, but the programs also involve
personnel from dozens of other countries, including China, Russia and Israel, Russia no longer,
of course. And the labs are primarily in business to clean up dangerous weapons left behind
by the old Soviet Union when it pulled out of Ukraine. So there you go. Conspiracy America.
Riley and I approve the message by writing it. In a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
239 years ago today, General George Washington made a surprise speech to soldiers gathered in
upstate New York. For months, unpaid troops talked of open rebellion against the newly
formed Congress of the United States, which was in Philadelphia. With a few words, George Washington
averted a potential coup in the earliest days of our republic. Here is the story of the Newberg
conspiracy. After a series of British losses, the Revolutionary War was quickly winding down.
Beginning in 1780, Congress began debating pensions and other payments to colonists who fought for
independence. At the time, many soldiers were unpaid. A group of unhappy officers stationed in
Newburgh, New York, organized under the leadership of General Henry Cox. The men sent a scathing letter
to Congress containing threats of a revolt. On the morning of March 10th, an unsigned letter began
circulating in the Army camp. The statement decried the Army's condition and lack of support.
It also called for an ultimatum to Congress, pay up or else.
When word of the letter reached General Washington, he issued an order forbidding any unsanctioned
meetings and called for a general assembly of his officers.
On March 15, 1783, Washington said, quote, do not take any measures that will sully the glory
you have maintained.
Let me request you to rely on the faith.
of your country and place a full confidence in the purity of the intentions of Congress, unquote.
Well, the officers voted unanimously to support Washington and their new government,
and the General sent news of the decision to Congress.
The Newberg conspiracy was over, and here's something else you might not know.
Despite averting a potential coup, Congress ultimately failed to address the soldiers' grievances.
of troops went unpaid, leading to an armed revolt in New England four years later.
Shea's rebellion was quelled in 1787 and directly led to the election of George Washington
as the first president of the United States 11 months later. Back after this.
