Bill O'Reilly here. Thursday, March 17th, 2022. Happy St. Patrick's Day. You are listening to
the O'Reilly update. Here's what's happening across our nation. The White House sending more
weapons to Ukraine. Putin threatening Western traders and scum. That's his quote,
most families now live paycheck to paycheck. Public health officials rank the dirtiest cities in the
USA. Also ahead, President Biden and gas prices, the truth. But first, the Biden administration allocating
another $800 million in aid for Ukraine. The U.S. also deploying thousands of anti-aircraft missiles
and anti-tank explosives. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy channeling Martin Luther King, Jr. during his
virtual address to Congress yesterday, stating, quote, I have a dream. These words are not
known to each of you. Today, I can say I have a need. I need to protect our sky. I need your help,
unquote. The dictator Putin issuing threats against so-called pro-Western traders and scum
inside his own country. The Russian president delivering an hour-long speech on state-run TV.
He's vowing to lock up any Russian who opposes his invasion of Ukraine. At least 15,000 people
have been detained so far since the conflict began in late February.
More than 250 journalists, by the way, have gone missing and been murdered since Putin
took control of Russia back in 1999.
A new survey from one poll says 7 and 10 Americans are now living paycheck to paycheck.
A figure includes 84% of men, 65% of women.
The typical adult stresses over personal finances six times every day.
About one and four workers have nothing saved for retirement. An additional 25% believe they will work
past the age of 65. The average American is less than $1,000 in savings a third have nothing at all
in a bank. New report from the Miami Herald ranks the dirtiest cities in America.
Towns are judged by pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and resident satisfaction.
Worst, Chicago, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Texas, Oklahoma City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston,
and the dirtiest city in the USA, Newark, New Jersey.
The town ranks number one for garbage, air pollution, congestion, and vermin, not the political kind.
In a moment, gas prices will they destroy the body.
Biden administration. Right back with that. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress.
National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. And meanwhile, China is dumping the dollar
and stockpiling gold. That's why I protected my savings with physical gold and silver.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update. Message of the Day. Inflation out of control now, as we all know,
working Americans paying much more for food, fuel, everything since Joe Biden took office.
the government could bring all this to a halt with smart economic policies, but the Biden administration
does not have the skill to do that. So Joe Biden is in trouble politically. But he denies
that he is the problem. He says, quote,
Let's be absolutely clear about why prices are high now.
They're high for two reasons.
One was COVID.
And now, the second big reason for inflation is Vladimir Putin and gas prices, not a joke.
We've seen the price of gas go up over a dollar just since he put his troops on the border, on the border of Ukraine.
They went up a dollar and five cents.
well with respect that is propaganda here are the stats the inflation rate in america
january two thousand twenty one before biden took office one point four percent inflation rate
january two thousand twenty two after a year of biden seven point five percent an increase of four
64%. That's before Putin. Gas prices, January 2021, $2.31 on average.
2002 January, $3.53, again before Putin. So Joe, what the deuce, man? No joke. You are saying things that aren't true. Again,
I am saying that with respect for the office of the presidency.
The American people, at least most of them, are not stupid.
President Biden totally blew it by attacking the U.S. fossil fuel industry at the behest of far-left climate warriors.
But he will never admit that.
So, what should happen now?
Well, gas prices will come down a little. We are seeing that this week. And when the Ukraine
shooting stops, that will help worldwide inflation. But it's too late for Mr. Biden to save
himself politically because inflation will linger in America all this year. And people will suffer.
so in November the midterm election the Democrats will get slaughtered I predict they will lose the
House they will lose the Senate and that will paralyze Joe Biden which is a good thing
his policies are terrible and there is no two sides to that story I'm Bill O'Reilly

Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know.
It is St. Patrick's Day.
Yay.
Millions of people all over the world
will honor the patron saint of Ireland
with music, corned beef,
perhaps a glass of Guinness.
Here is how it all began. Patrick was born in Roman-occupied Britain in the late 4th century, long time ago.
He was kidnapped as a young teenager, taken to Ireland as a slave. He eventually escaped, but then returned to Erie years later to convert the locals to Christianity as Patrick was a monk.
During his lifetime, Patrick established dozens of monasteries, churches, and religious schools in Ireland.
Now, folk lore surrounding Patrick quickly spread among the Irish.
Some claim he drove all the snakes into the sea.
Others say he used shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity, which he did.
But the snake thing, no.
There were never reptiles in Erie.
St. Pat's festivities were mostly religious until the 18th century when immigrants brought the holiday to the New World.
Boston held its first parade honoring St. Patrick in 1737.
For the next two centuries, the Irish spread around the globe, creating communities in England, the USA, Australia, Canada, South Africa, on and on and on and on.
Today, folks all around the world celebrate St. Patrick's Day in their own way.
Since 1962, Chicago uses non-toxic food coloring to turn its river green.
And here's something else you might not know.
One of the biggest meals associated with St. Patrick's Day isn't Irish at all.
During the 19th century, beef was not typically consumed in Ireland.
Cows were used for milk, not meat.
Pigs and lamb were the preferred protein.
After arriving in New York City, the Irish settled in lower Manhattan, mostly, facing prejudice
from the locals.
So the immigrants bought meat from their Jewish neighbors at kosher butcher shops.
Brisket was a big seller.
They bought the beef, threw it in a pot with cabbage and potatoes, and the rest is history.
Happy St. Pats, back after this.
