Bill O'Reilly here.
You are listening to the weekend edition of the O'Reilly update.
Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater.
Thanks, Bill.
Here's what's happening this week in America.
Seizing property, manhunt over, storming the fence, and Pearl Harbor Veteran.
That's all coming up.
And Bill's going to be here with your message of the day.
But first, a bit of a surreal update to the lawfare against Donald Trump.
New York Attorney General is taking steps to.
prepare to seize Trump's assets, specifically seven springs. It's a private estate in Bedford,
New York, north of Manhattan. Get this place at Google, it's stunning. It's a huge mansion,
50,000 square feet built in 1919. It took five years to build with 500 Italian mason's,
230 acres, just absolutely stunning. Trump bought it in 1995 for $7.5 million. A professional appraiser
valued it at $56 million in 2015, the state said it was worth $20 million.
That's part of the, oh, Trump defrauded the state of New York by overvaluing his properties.
Early Wednesday morning, Skylar Mead, an inmate at a maximum security prison in Idaho,
was taken to the local hospital due to self-injurious behavior.
As he was being escorted into the hospital, someone else opened fire on the three police officers
who were following him.
the inmate and this other shooter got away.
Mead is an actual white supremacist,
like he's in a group called the Aryan Knights.
He was sentenced to only 20 years in prison
for shooting a sheriff's sergeant
during a high-speed chase in 2017.
Idaho police finally captured him and his accomplice.
There's video going around of 100 illegal aliens
breaking through razor wire
and pushing through a handful of Texas National Guardsmen
and then they ran to a much larger fence
that they could not knock down or climb over.
That was also guarded by the National Guard.
Very dramatic video, this was part of a larger group of 600 aliens
trying to enter the United States in El Paso.
This Texas law, as before, is now back not in effect.
Mexico says that this law seeks to stop the flow of migrants
by criminalizing them, yeah,
and encouraging the separation of families
discriminating and racial profiling
that violate the human rights of the migrant community.
The day is coming closer when there will be no more World War II veterans with us anymore.
Dick Higgins, one of the few remaining Pearl Harbor survivors, has passed away at the age of 102.
He was at the last reunion in Pearl Harbor.
He said, I'm so honored to be here, I just represent all those who couldn't be here.
There are only 22 Pearl Harbor survivors still with us today.
I'm Mike Slater from the podcast, Politics by Faith, the great Bill O'Reilly.
He has your message of the day.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update, message of the day.
It is true beyond a reasonable doubt that a few powerful social media companies, sometimes at the behest of the FBI, suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story.
That situation was finally exposed with troubling clarity.
So, what else is being censored?
Well, how about traditional and conservative voices on network TV talk shows?
This conspiracy dwarfs the hunter masking.
There are three network morning programs and five late night gab fest.
What was the last time you saw a right-leaning person on any of them?
This is not an accident, nor has it always been this way.
Over the years, I have visited network programs 78 times.
The appearances almost always went well, and ratings for the shows were high,
as my crew watched jacking up their usual audiences.
That all stopped in November 2016, and it was not an accident.
Network chieftains went ballistic after Donald Trump's election.
So for almost eight years, only liberal commentators are welcome on the talk shows.
This, of course, is censorship at the highest level.
The result is a normalization of pernicious policies, such as little punishment for criminals,
racial preferences, and abortion with no limits.
Woke culture dominates because of the now heavily restrictive entertainment industry.
I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it.
You can reach me.

Name in town, if you wish to opine.
Let's go to the mail.
We got Mary Altoro, Norwalk, Connecticut.
Bill, you say Biden doesn't work
because he doesn't care about anything.
Why don't we ever hear about who is really running the White House?
I've done this, Mary, a number of time.
We're going to do it one more time for you, especially.
All right, the chief of staff in the Biden White House,
the man named Jeff Zentz,
Z-I-E-N-T-S.
Have you ever heard of him?
No.
Nobody's ever heard of him.
Top counsel is Ed Ziskel, S-I-S-K-E-L.
And the head of the communications department is Ben LaBolt.
Those are the three inside the White House, in the West Wing, that have the most power.
And nobody knows anything about them.
they are not public in any way you never hear from them, but they have the power.
And outside, Jeffrey Katzenberg, the Hollywood mogul, huge power.
Bernie Sanders, the communist senator from Vermont, big power.
And there's Biden, and he listens to all this.
But the most powerful person is Jill Biden.
There you go. I'm not going to do it again.
John Fox, Ashboro, North Carolina.
Why can't you, O'Reilly, make the case that Joe Biden is a tax cheat?
He's the big guy.
How can I make the case?
I don't have subpoena power.
I don't know his banking things.
That's for the Justice Department and Congress to do.
How could I do it?
I mean, you say he's a tax cheat.
Okay?
A, that's your opinion.
If you have some documentation, pass it along to me.
I can't just do it out of thin air.
In a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know.
In the year 37 AD, the Roman Senate crowned a new emperor.
His brief reign will go down in history,
as one of the most depraved of all time.
Here is the story of Caligula.
Gaius Julius Caesar Germanicus
was the third son of a renowned Roman general.
Soldiers dubbed the boy Caligula, Latin for Little Boot,
a reference to the strange uniform his parents made him wear.
After the death of his family, the boy was adopted by Roman Emperor Tiberius.
Caligula was 24 years old when he ascended to the throne.
He soon became erratic, violent, and sadistic.
The dictator was diagnosed with what doctors at the time called brain fever.
Some historians believing it may have been a brain tumor.
Caligula immediately killed his closest advisor.
then forced members of his own family to commit suicide.
He terrorized members of the Senate.
Under penalty of death, lawmakers were forced to run naked alongside Caligula's chariot.
He often raped Senators' wives as political retribution.
The emperor had thousands of Romans murdered for absolutely no reason
and often watched his victims being tortured before they were executed.
When presiding over the religious sacrifice of a bull, Caligula pardoned the animal, then beat the priest to death with a hammer.
The Roman elite had seen enough.
On January 24, 41A.D., Caligula went to the theater.
On his way home, military officers forced the ruler into a dark alley, where they stabbed him to death, much like Julius Caesar.
Caligula was 28 years old.
And here's something else you might not know.
While remembered for his depravity, Caligula was instrumental in expanding the Roman Empire.
Under his reign, Rome conquered new territories, including Great Britain, all the way up to Scotland,
known as Hadrian's Wall today.
Back after this.
and the people behind the headlines.
