Bill O'Reilly here, Tuesday, March 24th, 2020.
You are listening to the O'Reilly Update. Here's what's happening across our nation.
President Trump suggests rolling back the national shutdown after 15 days.
The media attacks that idea. Most Americans support the president's handling of the pandemic.
Lawmakers struggle to pass a coronavirus relief package. Japan delays the Summer Olympics until
2021. Also, I had playing politics with a lethal disease. But first, the Trump administration
considering an end to the 15-day national shutdown when the first round ends early next week.
The president and state governors, including Democrat New York, Andrew Cuomo, hinting that
the government will allow some people to return to work to stem a potential economic depression
from the global pandemic. The media predictably attacking Mr. Trump's daily press briefing
and the Republican Party in general, CNN, accusing the chief executive of neglect as the country
reached a pandemic milestone calling his current remarks about the shutdown completely inappropriate.
MSNBC saying Mr. Trump's address to the nation, quote, ignores doctors' warnings that the worst is yet to come,
unquote. The New York Times editorial board publishing an article entitled, The Coronavirus
Bailout Stalled, and it's Mitch McConnell's fault. Of course it is. Senator McConnell is a
Republican. The New York Times is run solely by Democrats. A majority of Americans are backing
the president's handling of the contagion. New Paul from the Hill and Harris says
61% of adults support the president's response to the virus. Just 39% disagree with the administration's
efforts to slow the spread. Lawmakers in Washington struggling to reach a new agreement on a
relief package. Democrats accusing the GOP of handing out cash to big business. Republicans saying
the liberal lawmakers are promoting far-left proposals that have absolutely nothing to do with
the disease, like the Green New Deal. More on that ahead. Finally, Japan delaying the Summer Olympics
until at least 2021. The prime minister saying it would be irresponsible to hold the games
during a global pandemic, which it would. In a moment, I will deliver a commentary on
politics that may kill you as the O'Reilly update continues from coast to coast.

Time now for the O'Reilly Update message of the day, deadly politics.
Congress is struggling to reach an agreement on a massive virus stimulus package that would pump up to $2 trillion into the U.S. economy.
According to reporting by the New York Post, political nonsense,
has delayed the relief bill. For example, Democrats are trying to compel airlines
who have seen a 90% drop in customers to cut greenhouse gas emissions every year
until they hit a 50% reduction as part of the virus bill. That, of course, would cost the
airlines millions of dollars. Speaker Nancy Pelosi also demanding the government fill
gender and racial quotas in hiring as part of the pandemic bill.
Democrats held up a federal loan program so they can pass more wind and solar tax credits,
fund NASA's Environmental Restoration Group, and study climate mitigation efforts,
all part of the bailout bill.
As millions of Americans are filing for unemployment and crushing state government budgets,
Democrats have held up the federal rescue bill so they can give government employee unions increased bargaining power.
As hospitals wait for funding, Ms. Pelosi is worried about national minority and gender pay equity.
She's also pushing for $50 million to support the Kennedy Center in Washington, an entertainment venue.
The Senate bill, the Democrats stopped, would have given nearly every American $1,200 with $500 more for every child.
It would have allocated $250 billion for unemployment insurance, $350 billion for a small business loan program,
more than $100 billion to hospitals, $11 billion toward vaccines, $4.5 to the CDC, $20 billion to veterans, $12 billion for public education, another $10 billion to airports, and $5 billion to FEMA.
All of that delayed by a far-left wish list. Want more? The Republican bill is 500 pages long.
Nancy Pelosi's bill is 1,200 pages long, stacked with socialistic agendas. And Pelosi's bill contains so much
off-topic spending, it is mind-numbing. The question is, do Americans understand what's going on in
Washington. We the people need relief now, not socialism built in to a relief bill. That is a
deception. Will Americans take this into account when voting in November? That question is
impossible to answer. But this situation now, very troubling. I'm Bill O'Reilly and I approve
that message by actually writing it. For more news analysis, please visit bill o'Reilly.com, where we have
the most accurate pandemic coverage in the country. The O'Reilly update will return with something
you might not know. Recently, the stock market has dropped significantly, as you know, and the
coronavirus pandemic has already impacted Americans, IRAs, and 401ks. Experts are forecasting a long-lasting
possible pullback. So now is the logical time to explore alternatives to protect what you have worked
for. Many Americans are moving to physical gold and silver as a recession-proof safe haven for their
retirement. American Hartford Gold Group is a trusted leader in gold and silver and it's easy to get

Now, the O'Reilly Update brings me something you might not know. More than 100 million Americans
are on lockdown to slow the spread of the virus. States like Illinois, California, New York,
Hawaii, all instituting some kind of quarantine to help stop the contagion. Despite pleas from
the president's task force and the CDC, media speculation surrounding the disease continues to be
rampant, including misinformation, false reporting, and some pretty troubling statements. Here are a few.
CNN's Jim Shuto, warning viewers, the White House is considering a mandatory nationwide curfew
to slow the spread. Quote, there are active discussions within the Trump administration to
encourage a possible curfew across the nation, said the former Obama official, Schuto, now a reporter.
The Trump administration immediately shot down the rumor, another triumph for CNN.
Next, former Vice President Biden claims President Trump refused to purchase virus test kits
from the World Health Organization, said Biden, quote, we refused them. We did not buy them.
Politifact ranks Mr. Biden's comments totally false, saying the government opted to develop their own test
instead of relying on a foreign organization during a national crisis.
Then there are the lawmakers using the virus to promote a social and political agenda.
Senator Elizabeth Warren says the country must abolish student loans to fight the virus.
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants a mandatory freeze on mortgages and rent to fight the virus.
Senator Bernie Sanders wants all Americans to receive
$2,000 check from the government for the duration of the crisis. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio
wants the feds to nationalize a handful of industries, including manufacturing, medical supplies,
pharmaceuticals, and more. Senator Kamala Harris demanding the Federal Bureau of Prisons release
quote, nonviolent offenders. And here's something more you might not know. Despite the political
games, most Americans are supporting Mr. Trump's virus approach.
According to Harris, the president's overall job approval now stands at 50%. That's his highest number in years. Will it continue? Only if the virus is defeated. Back after this. It's shocking that your home can be stolen easily. Deborah learned that brutal lesson when thieves found her home's title online. They then forged the
document to appear she sold her house, but she didn't. The criminals borrowed thousands using
Deborah's home equity. She didn't even know she was a victim until foreclosure and eviction
notices arrived. She spent a fortune trying to get her home back. The FBI now calls home
title fraud one of the fastest growing crimes, but you can avoid a possible nightmare by protecting
your home with home title lock. Neither your homeowner's insurance nor your bank protects you.
