It is Thursday, March 27th, 2025. Here's what happening today in America. Soldiers missing. Minerals deal moving forward. PhD student deported and tariffs going in effect. It's all coming up. And Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, four, U.S. Army soldiers are missing in Lithuania. This is from our Secretary of Defense. He said four of our brave soldiers from First Brigade, third infantry division are currently missing in Lithuania.
Starting point is 00:01:06 They were conducting scheduled tactical training. Our prayers are with their families, teammates, the entire unit, and everyone conducting search operations. Nothing our troops do, whether in combat or in training, is ever routine. We will not rest until our troops are found. The U.S. Army said the Hercules armored vehicle that the four U.S. soldiers were in during the training exercise has been. found submerged in a body of water. The Baltic countries of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia
Starting point is 00:01:33 are all NATO members. They've had difficult relations with Russia since declaring independence in 1990. Speaking of Russia and Ukraine, the president of Ukraine, Zelensky, said that the Trump administration has proposed a new version of a deal for developing Ukraine's extensive mineral deposits to help repay its war debts, finance reconstruction, and enhanced security. Zelensky said the new proposal is large and comprehensive. At a third to the list now, we know that a Columbia University graduate student was deported for his support of Hamas and leading protests in New York City last year. Also, a professor at the also Ivy League School, Brown University, was not allowed back
Starting point is 00:02:11 into the country when her plane landed in Boston and deported to Lebanon, after she was returning from Lebanon, where she admitted to attending the funeral of Hezbole leader Hassan Nasrallah. Well, the latest example is a Tufts University PhD student on a visa, was arrested by immigration authorities. She's from Turkey. The president of Tufts said the university had no pre-knowledge of this incident and did not share any information with federal authorities prior to the event. Representative Ayanna Presley called the arrest a horrifying violation of her constitutional rights to due process and free speech. The Attorney General of Massachusetts said this is not public safety, it's intimidation and will and should be closely scrutinized in court.
Starting point is 00:02:52 None of these three people were citizens, just to be clear, citizens of America. Trump said that the 25% tariff on all imported cars will go into effect on April 2nd. This will apply to all finished cars and trucks shipped into the country, including American brands that are manufactured overseas. And this applies to every country the same. It doesn't matter Canada or Mexico, meaning if we have other free trade agreements. Trump said anybody who has plants in the United States, it's going to be good for him. Called this very exciting.
Starting point is 00:03:22 This tariff reportedly also applies to imported car parts. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by Faith, Bill O'Reilly with your message of the day. Next. On this Thursday, watching the Democratic senators rough up the Trump Intel people reinforces the perils of our divided country. Yes, if the Biden administration had screwed up an important security meeting, as the Trumpers did on March 15th, GOP Sharks, absolutely. would have done the same thing, pound, home, the embarrassment. That's national politics these days, but I don't have to like it.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Also, hearing Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer tried to save his own butt by saying he'll oppose everything President Trump does isn't loyal opposition, it's subversive. Putting partisanship aside, you are a moron if you oppose eliminating, wasteful spending, a ceasefire in Ukraine, regaining control of the border. That's a destructive point of view to oppose those things, Chuck, especially when you cheered on Joe Biden's damaging policies. I mean, you don't have to love Trump's style, but the man is trying to mitigate several fiscal and security problems that Biden allowed. 36 trillion in debt, 12 million foreign nationals admitted, hundreds of thousands dead from Mexican narcotics. Where were you on those
Starting point is 00:05:30 things, Chuck? Nowhere, man, to quote the Beatles. Yes, the Trump team screwed up the hooty terrorist meeting. I'm not happy about it. The Democrats are. They shouldn't be. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at bill o'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Okay, YouTube, we want you to go on our channel. It's free. YouTube.com slash Bill O'Reilly. We got Bernie Sanders. I analyze he's a communist and what he's doing. You'll like it. Go to the mail. Let's go to Todd Marsteller, York, Pennsylvania. Bill, thank you for all you do. I'm simply finding it hard to believe the Atlantic leak story wasn't set up by someone inside the Trump administration to sabotage
Starting point is 00:06:17 the president. We don't do conspiracies here, Todd. I mean, look, I know people live in that world. That's not where we live. No evidence to show that. Thomas, concierge member. Thank you, Thomas. Why is Goldberg's number in the phone of any senior official of the Trump administration? We need to find that out.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Absolutely need to find that out. That's a key question. Amman, concierge member, thank you. In fact that Goldberg is a Trump hater is no excuse and there's no room for error. Isn't anyone in charge of vetting attendance at these meetings? apparently no. So it better be in the future. If this happens again, and I don't think it will, it'll be unbelievable. Meg Hornback, Chambly, Georgia. Just watch your interview with Tom Holman. Excellent questions, clear and concise. I didn't know that Oman worked for Obama at one time.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Comes across as an honest, hardworking guy. Okay, I'm going to agree with all that. I think Tom Holman is a good public servant. Scott Phillips, Buffalo, New York, a question about removing illegal aliens, criminal or not. They are all criminals by definition. They broke the law just by entering a country. They should all be removed. That's not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:07:34 And I said that even before the election. You can't do it because some undocumented migrants are here on asylum claims that have to be adjudicated. That's a big portion. That's who Biden led in, like crazy. And others are dreamers. Their parents brought them here and that has to be adjudicated to you. You can't just sweep and throw them out. That will never happen. In a moment, something you might not know. This episode is brought to you by San Pellegrino Chau, a new kind of flavor
Starting point is 00:08:10 of sparkling water, the kind made with real fruit juice, a pinch of Sicilian salt, and the sparkle of the Italian Sun. With no added sugar and just 10 or less calories per can, enjoy. With Love from Italy. By San Pellegrino Chau now. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 52 years ago today, actor Marlon Brando won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Don Corleone in The Godfather. The Oscar resurrected a career that had been sidelined by booze, erratic behavior, and Brando's general weirdness. Here is the story. Born in 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska, young Marlin began his acting career on Broadway.
Starting point is 00:09:03 He moved to L.A. after World War II, appearing in minor roles. Then he became a star for his performance in the 1954 film on the waterfront. For the next five years, Marlon Brando was the highest paid actor in the world. By the 1960s, his career began to suffer from erratic behavior. He walked off sets, quit in the middle of filming, demanded more money after contracts had been signed. During one shoot, Brando nearly got involved with a violent brawl with Frank Sinatra. Marlon Brando then became a Hollywood pariah. All of that changed in 1971 when director Francis Ford Coppola insisted Paramount Studios hire Brando
Starting point is 00:09:56 to play The Don in The Godfather. His portrayal of Mr. Corleone would become one of the most iconic characters in entertainment history. I want you to rest well, in a month from now, this Hollywood big shot is going to give you what you want. It's too late. They start shooting in a week. I'm going to make them an offer he can't refuse. Well, the role resurrected Brando's career, he appeared in several blockbusters before dying from lung disease in 2004 at the age of 80. And here's something else you might not know. One of the godfather's most memorable scenes was completely imperfect.
Starting point is 00:10:40 A stray cat kept appearing on the set. Instead of dispatching the feline, Marlon Brando incorporated the kitten into the plot. The image of Don Corleone cradling the cat remains an iconic moment in film history. Back in a moment. This MailChimp-Forific jingle is brought to you by MailChimp.
