But first, the president announced that he will sign an executive order to pay TSA workers during the partial government. down. Speaking of Democrats, he wrote, they almost destroyed our country, allowing 25 million people to enter from prisons, mental institutions, and insane asylums, those that are drug dealers, and thousands of murderers, many of whom killed more than one person. I'm going to sign an order instructing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Mark Wayne Mullen, who was just confirmed the other day, to immediately pay our TSA agents in order to address this emergency situation, and to quickly stop the Democrat chaos at the airports. We are now on
Starting point is 00:01:32 Day 42 of this partial government shutdown. The president said he is extending the pause on strikes of Iranian energy plants by 10 days, stating that Iran is begging to make a deal. He wrote, as per Iranian government request, please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of energy plant destruction by 10 days to Monday, April 6th, 2026 at 8 p.m. Eastern. He said in the Oval Office yesterday, we estimated it would take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to achieve our mission, 26 days in, we are extremely really a lot ahead of schedule.
Starting point is 00:02:07 The Iranian regime is now admitting to itself that they've been decisively defeated. They now have a chance to make a deal, but that's up to them. And they'll tell you, we're not negotiating, we will not negotiate. Of course they're negotiating. They've been obliterated. Who wouldn't negotiate? The federal government has opened up investigations into how race is considered in omissions at three medical schools, Stanford University, Ohio State, and University of California, San Diego.
Starting point is 00:02:31 There was a 2003 Supreme Court decision forbidding affirmative action in college admissions, and the Trump administration is demanding that these universities show proof that they are abiding by this Supreme Court decision. The Supreme Court said that race could be considered if the student talks about how it is affected their life in a student essay, for example. But Trump has raised concerns that colleges and universities are using these personal statements as a proxy for race, which he said is illegal discriminatory. nation. Starting point is 00:04:00 Time now for the O'Reilly update, message of the day. On this Friday, there is a quiet campaign going on in conservative circles for the United States to pull out of NATO. That is somewhat understandable because the Europeans are certainly not proactive in fighting evil on the planet. President Trump is unpopular among NATO leaders because he forced them to pay their lot of dues, which they declined to do for decades. Spain still considerably behind in its financial obligation.
Starting point is 00:04:38 The Spanish also insulted the Trump administration by threatening to deny landing privileges to U.S. warplanes on their way to the Middle East. I believe Spain should be sanctioned by NATO, perhaps expelled. But I would not totally bail on the alliance, because that would have. help Europe's largest problem, Putin. It is easy to envision the maniacal Russian dictator, destabilizing the Baltic states, as well as Eastern Europe in general. Moldova, we hardly knew you. However, the NATO countries need to wise up and recognize that it is American muscle that keeps the continent viable. And if the U.S. needs help, NATO should be there. Whether they like our policies or not.

Name in town if you wish to opine. Now let's go to the mail. Ralph, what is a solution for weakness in White House messaging?
Starting point is 00:05:59 on Republicans running for office are weak if they don't harp on the bad job Democrats are doing. Well, they're going to harp on that. The White House messaging, it's a very good question you're asking. I think there should be a messaging czar. So all of the various departments have spokespeople, and, you know, they're pretty good. They're articulate, and the president has his spokespeople. But on complicated issues, it should be one person in good historical background, understands, you know, what the issue is, that would come out maybe once a week and talk to the press. I think that would be a good thing to do.

Young Ponce served in the military before being appointed the royal governor of San Juan, now known as Puerto Rico.
Starting point is 00:09:43 During his travels, he became obsessed with rumors of a magical spring somewhere in the tropics. The water could heal the sick. Those who drank from its source would live forever. The fountain of youth. In the spring of 1513, the Spaniard and his crew landed near present day St. Augustine. His camp was the first European outpost in what would become the United States of America. To ease critics back in Madrid, Ponce claimed his journey was also a quest for gold. Eventually, Ponzi Leon searched the Everglades, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the Gulf of Mexico for the fountain of youth.
Starting point is 00:10:29 He did not find it. But he traded information with native tribes and gained knowledge of the new world. In 1521, Poncenaean returned to Florida in a bid to establish a permanent Spanish colony. Hostel natives attacked his expedition. The party retreated to Cuba, where Ponce died from wounds he suffered in battle. He never found the fountain which may have cured him. Ponce de Leon was 46 years old when he died. And here's something else you might not know.
Starting point is 00:11:11 While de Leon is celebrated for his adventures, it's also notorious for his brutal treatment of the native tribes. After several massacres, the King of Spain demoted Ponce, and he was replaced by the descendant of another famous explorer, the son of Christopher Columbus. Back in a moment. Ah, where are my gloves?
