Starting point is 00:00:37 Coming up next, the news with Mike Slater. Thank you, Bill. It is Wednesday, March 4th, 2026. Here's this happening today in America. British portrayal. Risk insurance guarantees. Supreme Court win and the big Texas primaries. It's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the UK refused to allow us to use our military bases that are on UK soil.
Starting point is 00:00:59 There's one in England, and the other is the island Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. which happens to have a direct path to Iran without going over any other country. This is on UK land, but they're our bases, and they refuse to allow us to launch any planes from our bases to attack Iran. That's insane. The Labor Party Prime Minister did this because he did not want to lose any more Muslim voters in England. Spain was even more actively against what we did. They forced our military aircraft off two military bases in Spain.
Starting point is 00:01:28 They were a logistical support aircraft. This after their socialist government openly condemned, the strikes in Iran. The president in the Oval Office said, we are going to cut off all trade with Spain. We don't want anything to do with Spain. By the way, I'm not happy with the UK either. Spain is the only NATO-Ala, by the way, who has not increased their NATO spending to 5%. The president on social media said the U.S. government is going to provide risk, insurance, and guarantees for all maritime trade, especially energy, traveling around Iran. He said the U.S. Navy would provide escorts through the Strait of Hormuz if necessary.
Starting point is 00:02:00 One fifth of the world's oil passes through this straight. Shipping in this region has come to a near standstill because insurance costs are now so high. The United States Supreme Court blocked California schools from hiding students' gender transitions from their parents. It is state law that schools are not allowed to tell parents if their own child is transitioning while that school. But the Supreme Court ruled six to three in favor of sanity. the court said the right protected by these precedents includes the right not to be shut out of participation and decisions regarding their children's mental health. Texas had their first round of primaries yesterday in the Republican Senate side, John Cornyn, the incumbent, and Ken Paxton will go to the runoff. The runoff is May 26th.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Cornyn got 42% of the vote. Paxton 41. Wesley Hunt only got 13. On the Democratic side, it's going to be James Tala Rico over Jasmine Crockett. Unfortunately, Crockett would have been way more fun. Tala Rico won 53 to 46, but Crockett is claiming that Republicans cheated, which clearly is it true because if Republicans cheated, we would have had her win. Big surprise, Congressman Dan Crenshaw lost his primary overwhelmingly.
Starting point is 00:03:21 In North Carolina, Michael Watley won the Republican side, and Roy Cooper, one of the Democrats. That will be the showdown in November. I'm Mike Slater. I have a podcast called Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next. Let's face it, the U.S. economy is under stress. National debt rising, trade war, shaking the markets. On this Wednesday, it was a bit shocking to hear Kamala Harris, urging Americans to oppose the military action against Iran.
Starting point is 00:04:51 As Vice President, she watched, as the Biden administration appeased the mullers, and help finance Hamas has Bula Nahudis by unfreezing Iranian money to the tune of $16 billion. The Biden policy fell dismally and led to October 7, 2003 when Hamas attacked Israel, and that disrupted the entire Middle East. The subsequent war against Hamas by Israel resulted in massive death in Gaza. So you might think Kamala Harris would be a bit more circumspect when it comes to Iran. But like the Biden open border debacle, Kamala sees no evil. Former Secretary of State John Kerry also failed to stop Iran's nuclear quest. He carried out President Obama's appeasement policy.
Starting point is 00:05:49 At least Kerry is not undermining the U.S. military campaign now, as Harris is. You don't have to be a war monger to understand that the fanatical leadership in Iran was never going to cease its terror activities. Therefore, a choice had to be made. Let them continue to kill innocent people or stop them. That's the choice, Kamala. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Okay, go to the mail. We got Wendy on the message board. Wednesday can talk with all the other premium members on Bill O'Reilly.com. Probably half the country is not old enough to understand
Starting point is 00:06:38 what Iran was like prior to 1979. It isn't taught in schools. Absolutely true. The Iranian women were free to dress in Western Tire and go to university of jobs. Then they were stuffed into burkas. As you always say, Bill, the USA is the noble nation, it's way past time for the Iranian people to be released from the hold of
Starting point is 00:06:56 the evil mullers. Okay, that's a good letter from Wendy. Well thought out. Michael, the U.S. has turned the Middle East into a playground for Islamic fundamentalists. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself. Well, I'm going to challenge you on that. We haven't turned the Middle Eastern into that. It was there long before the United States had anything to do. with the Middle East. So Ari Truman, President Truman, was the one who okayed the state of Israel, and then that's when it really got intense. But before that, there was Islamic nationalism all day long. There. And we have not done that. We react to it, but that's not our making. Armand, Malandi, Tucson, Arizona, bill your message of the day you state that clear-thinking Americans understand
Starting point is 00:07:52 terror killers should have no quarter. True, but I was reading in today's segment of the Daily Signal that 32 million people watch the State of the Union across 15 networks. That's only 10% of the U.S. population. How many clear thinking interested in where Americans are there? Well, okay, 32 million watched it on television, but then social media dominates now. So you wouldn't believe how many millions of people watch me, and they're not watching me on No Spin News and we have a very healthy audience on No Spin News. Okay, but they're watching me on social media. That's where the action is. In a moment, something you might not know. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 21 years ago this morning,
Starting point is 00:08:42 one of the most famous entertainers in America was released from federal prison in West Virginia. Despite that, she remains a global celebrity to this day. The stock price plummeted the next day.
Starting point is 00:09:28 The strange timing started a federal investigation over allegations of insider trading. A highly publicized trial ensued. Martha Stewart was found guilty on charges of conspiracy and obstruction of justice, not insider trainee. She was sentenced to five months of prison, two years. of probation. The media mogul was released from federal prison on March 4th, 2005. Six months later, she sat down with David Letterman. It was pretty horrifying.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Right. And yet, I'm pretty strong. I found out how strong I was during this whole ordeal, and mentally strong, and also physically strong. So I did not allow myself to get depressed. I did not allow myself to get down too much. I faced what I had to face. I lived through it with actually sort of flying colors. Despite some negative press, Martha Stewart rebounded. She kept her company intact, wrote a book,
Starting point is 00:10:31 debuted two new television programs within 12 months. And here's something else you might not know. Ms. Stewart remains one of the most successful women in the United States of America. Under the advice of her close friend rapper Snoop Dog, she recently launched her own marijuana business, a line of cannabis candy called Martha Stewart's Wellness Berry Medley Gummies. Today, the 84-year-old's net worth is valued at about $600 million. No doubt. That's pretty high. barreden upon
Starting point is 00:11:15 back in a moment. Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything. Like packing a spare stick. I like to be prepared. That's why I remember 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline. It's good to know, just in case.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder any time. 988 suicide crisis helpline is funded by the government in Canada.
