The company releasing a statement on the closures, quote, continued ownership of the business in Russia no longer tenable. Nor is it consistent with our values, unquote. The first McDonald's in Russia opened in Moscow's Red Square on January 1st, 1990, and McDonald's is doing the right thing here. Who needs Russia? A new survey from Trafalgar finds a whopping 87% of adults want corporations to avoid politics. Nine in 10 say they will stop using products and services if a company openly contradicts their values. Another poll shows 68% of Americans are less likely to do business with Disney if that

Jen Saki, off to make millions of dollars at MSNBC, and Corrine Jean-Pierre is the new White House Press Secretary. Here is her story. She was born in Fort de France, Martinique, that's in the Caribbean, on August 13th, 1974, so she is 47 years old. Her parents are from Haiti. Ms. Jean-Pierre was raised in Queens, New York, from the age of five. She studied at the New York
Starting point is 00:04:42 Institute of Technology, then Columbia University. She is the first openly gay, African American immigrant press secretary. Her partner is CNN correspondent Suzanne Malvo. They have one adopted daughter. On the career front, she worked as a campaign director for Barack Obama during the 2008 election. Later, Ms. Jean-Pierre became the director for the White House Office of Political Affairs under Obama. Then she went over to Move On.org. and that is a radical left organization as a senior advisor. She joined the Biden administration as deputy press secretary in 2021 last year. Corrine is controversial to say the least.
Starting point is 00:05:38 After the 2016 elections, she said, quote, stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election, welcome to the world of Donald Trump. Then in 18, she said, quote, if it walks like a racist, talks like a racist, acts like a racist, it is a racist. And we have a racist president in the White House who really pushes his racism like a peacock, unquote.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Ms. Jean-Pierre called Attorney General Jeff Sessions a racist. In May 2020, she said this, Fox News, was racist before coronavirus, they are racist during coronavirus, and they will be racist after coronavirus. Also, in the year 2020, she opine, systemic racism pervades every part of our society. So, if that's true, how does Corrine become a lot of our society? the White House Press Secretary. But the real question is, how could any president pick a radical like this to represent him? It is unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:06:59 What you have here is a situation where the White House press secretary is supposed to be speaking to all Americans. But Kareen is a hater. She doesn't like her country. She doesn't like anybody who opposes her. They're all racist. This is crazy. But that's what the Biden administration has chosen to do. So there's nothing we can do about it.

Starting point is 00:08:35 Not no. 18 years ago today, two women were married in Cambridge near Boston, becoming the first legally married same-sex partners in the USA, within hours, hundreds of other gay couples applied for nuptial licenses in the Bay State. Here is the story of same-sex marriage. The concept dates back to the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s. Gay partners were then unable to visit each other in hospitals, file life insurance claims, or inherit assets following their partner's death.
Starting point is 00:09:15 In 1996, President Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act, denying federal recognition to same-sex marriages. President George Bush the Younger later broached the idea of a constitutional amendment to define marriage as the union between a man and a woman. In November 2003, the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled any ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. The judges gave the state 180 days to ramp up and allow gay nuptials. On May 17, 2004, officials in Boston began officiating same-sex marriages. President Obama initially opposed that, but then changed his mind in 2014,
Starting point is 00:10:04 telling the New Yorker magazine, quote, I think the Equal Protection Clause does guarantee same-sex marriage in all 50 states. One year later, the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is a constitutional right. The five-four decisions says, quote, same-sex couples seek in marriage, the same legal treatment as opposite sex couples. It would diminish their personhood to deny them this right, unquote, by the Supreme Court. Today, there are approximately 500,000 married same-sex couples in the USA. 20% of gay households have at least one child. Many of them have adopted. And here's something else you might not know.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Data from the Census Bureau shows the divorce rate among same-sex couples is lower than the national. average.
